Honestly,
Fuck sAviOr. Yeah I said it. Just like I'll say fuck Pete Rose. People like that are the lowest of the low in my opinion.
He deserves what he got, and the reaction to him playing again is totally warranted. Imagine is Pete Rose wanted to start coaching players or even offering personal training? People would flip the fuck out because he cheated.
This isn't like using Steroids because the entire league does (MLB/NFL/All American sports), this is one of the best and most loved players of all time betraying his fans and supporters by fixing and throwing games for money.
sAviOr is a cheat who deserves no respect from anyone, how can you love SC:BW or SC2 so much and not consider him the lowest of the low? Honestly?

Maybe because he is the best Zerg player of all time, if not the best player period at his peak? I mean, seriously. It's like finding out that Tiger Woods cheated on his wife. It's like "yeah that's obviously not good" but it doesn't detract from all of his amazing accomplishments

Micheal Phelps was caught smoking weed. The media made a huge deal. Does anyone really care? No, because he's the worlds fastest Swimmer.

This.
Savior affected the sport itself that is BW. And not only that but they were a lot doing it so the BW reputation was going downhill because of that (at that time).

You work your whole life, as hard as you can everyday to be #1. And the person who IS number one cheats and lies in order to make more money. Doesn't make the top any more welcoming. Especially with the release of SC2 around the corner when the whole scandal came out, it was just something that any athlete with an ounce of respect for the game they play wouldn't have done.
Tiger and Michael Phelps didn't affect the game they played, and didn't betray their own skills in the sport by cheating/lying/fixing. They made silly personal decisions (though I have no issue with Phelps toking, it wasn't smart to let someone take a picture of him doing it), they didn't ruin their IN-GAME accomplishments.

But you're cool with steroids in sports.

I think we should be glad, as a site dedicated to Starcraft, that such a good player is showing us his gameplay.
|
Fuck sAviOr. Yeah I said it. wow ur really bold to say that on a site where everyone is hating on Savior for the last year. So brave. You have anymore controversial opinions?

and if he's making money from it, cool, good for him. He shouldn't be allowed to participate in any kespa-sanctioned events ever again, but if he can earn some money broadcasting his games to people who want to see them, i don't see anything wrong with that.

I don't see what the big deal is with him playing BW in his spare time.

SAviOr may have broken my heart, but...I just can't resist watching him play again. Thanks for the links!

Pete Rose hypothetically wanting to coach again can't be compared to sAviOr playing SCBW on Afreeca. He isn't involved in his former profession in a professional way, so how can there be any 'warranted reaction'?
Playing on Afreeca pretty much compares to Pete Rose throwing baseball with his son in his own yard. Would you post 'Fuck Pete Rose' because of that?
Regardless of how the respective athletes have cheated in their profession, I think they should be able to enjoy it on a casual, non-profitable level as it after all has been such a huge part of their lives. How can you deny someone this right?

Well for those really upset about Savior and the scandal, I guess it is a bit overblown. He damaged entertainment, that's it. I am sure all of us could go on with our lives even if BW was completely destroyed except for maybe 1000 jobs.

No it's not.
As far as I'm aware he was not barred from playing BW ever again...
Never to play in Kespa again sure, but that doesn't mean he isn't allow to play for leisure. The punishment has been doled out and the situation has passed.
I thought what Savior did was shitty and all but that will never take away from the unparalleled skill he possessed at his peak.

Just because he fucked up by throwing games for money doesn't meant we should treat him like he carries the plague.
