I'm not interested in pointing fingers and shit. I'm just pointing out the fact that the coach's behavior did more damage than anything else. He should have let it lie. Or if he was going to say something, it should have been much better thought out. If he thinks Savior streaming games on Afreeca will continue to hurt the image of progaming (although personally I don't think it will -- progaming isn't Afreeca) he should have taken a time out to compose his thoughts rather than reacting out of anger. It's this same kind of lack of forethought that led to the cheating scandal to begin with. It's not like Savior woke up one morning and said "I'm going to start cheating with all my friends." People on the outside drew him in and instead of thinking about the damage he could do to progaming (including his own career!) he thought about the short term gratification he would receive from getting extra money in his bank account. Obviously the orders of magnitude are completely different, but if the coaches set that kind of example then the players will be more vulnerable to bad situations. | ||

He played on one of the many "caster" BJ's on afreeca. These are people who just find a couple of good people to play, and cast their games. THere is now way of knowing when these bj's will have savior on their streams, or indeed if he will ever play again. I sometimes stream the BJ who casted savior, not at the time that savior played tho. | ||

It's NOT the coach's gaffe as much as a thread that indicates he still plays BW that is causing people to say these things. The coach's gaffe is simply side commentary, but people wouldn't be saying "I wish he came back" nearly as much if it hadn't been noted that he's actually still PLAYING. Hate it or love it no single player probably elicits stronger feelings about BW than him, and no single player probably brought more people into BW and/or TL (in the foreign scene) in the past five years than him. A lot of people look at Savior and think "that guy's the reason why I got into BW".... No, I don't think he should be allowed back. But even then, paradoxically, I still wish he could play again. Even though he played almost 0 of these games the last couple of years he was active, there has never quite been something like a "vintage Savior" game (it's like watching Flash's ridiculous comebacks but with less comeback and more razor thin edge walking, and a Zerg player to boot...) before or after. They're probably not even possible anymore, but that doesn't make the memories any less vivid. | ||

its been quite a few gsl's since the games release and we can perfectly say that no one has never ever dominated in that game and, in the short run, will never dominate, basically because of the lach in mechanich skills. we will see anyway | ||

I feel that the reaction from KeSpa was Childish. I remember Kim Carrier claiming they should erase his name out of SCBW history and that`s pretty disgusting. It`s not like an athlete that used steroids to win, when he was a bonjwa, he won legitely. That should never be forgotten. Every Zerg play builds that he invented. Bisu`s fame is because he defeated the undefeatable. KT`s coach is not exactly a role model himself. I hope Ma jae Yong find new ways to live his life and that he`ll find sucess. The man was an inspiration for me, regardless of what he`s done. | ||
