Hello guys, recently I, like many other hard working starcraft players here had been put on the NASL page for voting on to see me in the NASL.
For one reason or another, they have deleted my entry on the NASL page, which was currently ranked at number 2.
A lot of my votes were in fact legitimate, as I did just put out a replay pack showing that I in fact can compete and beat the majority of players that will probably be considered for the NASL league.
And I have been trying to get all of the support that I can to be able to get into this "invite only" league that was just announced.
Why was my entry taken down? Will you take down trumps next? Destiny's next if he gets too many votes? What was wrong with my entry there?
If anything, this shows a fundamental problem with trying to start up Western E-sports with a league of players "hand-picked" to be in the league, as it will tend to appear as an all exclusive club for all those already with money backing and disallows others from participation due to politics rather than allowing a person to compete in this new league based off of what matters most at the heart of e-sports - PLAYING THE GAME.
I would like people to re-vote me back up in this new western e-sports "NASL system" that we now are currently under, as I do wish to compete in this and show I can beat the best. I would rather I show that I can compete and win through my gameplay, rather than showing it through politics or "knowing more people" which is never what e-sports should be about.
I am also looking for a legitimate team to join now, and this is a good as time as any to put this here and reach out to any teams right now that are looking for a top 200 player to sponsor and get into the NASL. Please get into contact with me asap.
I am asking anyone here that wants to support me into the NASL to please vote for me, and to support me as much as possible.

Why was he removed? I'm a fan and I approve this message. We want answers.
Not only that, but we wants answers as to why the god-awful team-related rules are in place. Someone has dun goofed and answer need to be presented.

Until there is a proper explanation or apology this is an outrage. At any length the deletion should of been explained before hapening. Furthermore, if there was some violation there should of been a warning first.

If avilo is removed, the zerg have finally won.
This cannot be allowed be happen

The voting doesn't mean a thing. Have you sent in an application? You say that you are a top 200 player is that just NA or what? This is the top 50 players in the world so if your not there than you will not be invited to it.

You are going about this the wrong way. You don't beg for recognition, you earn it. Forcing yourself upon something without having the achivements to back it up is rarely something that's looked well upon.
Just a small tip of advice. There are plenty of ways out there to show your true skill, this isn't the way to do it. So you might miss the first season, that means you have plenty of time to practice and participate in all the numerous online tournaments/MLG's to prove your worth.
Just my 2 cents, and I wish you luck getting into the NASL regardless

As weird as Avilo often comes across, his point is EXTREMELY valid! I think the real question Xeris should anser is exactly HOW are the top 50 going to be chosen? Theres too much beating around the bush in this regard. Even on SotG a clear answer was not forthcoming. The exact method of choosing the 50 HAS to be a priority press release for the NASL guys imo... GL WP Avilo hope you make it.

Only 5 Koreans are allowed to come. Its the NASL and i'm fine if they just get the best players possible.

I take exception to this statement, because I know ALL your votes were legit! I am livid that this could even happen.
Please explain yourselves, NASL!

hm.. thats really wierd because I saw that avilo was ranked #2 as well

Why would they delete my entry from the front page of the biggest western e-sports tournament? Is it because they do not want me in the tournament, regardless of the massive support that I have gotten?
Do they want storylines? Or do they want the storylines they make. This entire thing could be something great, but the way they are going about it is horrible.
And it's ridiculous that my entry would be deleted. If I get another 13k votes, will my entry be deleted again because they want to decide who is in this tournament?
Who are they fooling? The only reason the voting system is there in the first place is to make the tournament appear like it is not a completely invitatational tournament where they invite who they want to play in it.
It's completely shafting me and who knows how many others that are trying to get all the support they can to make a living playing a game they love.

The answer I understood from SOTG was that the poll would be a strong indicator of who'd be invited, but it wasn't the definitive one.
This topic is a bit over-the-top and not really contributory to the community as a whole don't you think?
You may have been deleted for several reasons and none of us can answer that. Only those who are in charge can and publicly asking achieves just as little as asking them in-person, privately, without this masquerade.
My two cents.

Have you ever considered someone was trolling and hack voted for you? Happened with Piqliq the day before. I really don't see you getting 13,000+ votes with your style, which is just so boring to watch.
Even if they were all legit, you cannot get in, because you are not on a team.

Maybe it's a glitch, stop making a fuss and maybe someone will get back to you. I doubt it's a big conspiracy. EDIT: Maybe because you're not on a team? *shrug*

I would try pming either iNc or Xeris to see what the deal is rather than accusing them of anything

I would wait until further information is given. It is easy to jump to conclusions with little information. As I see this, this is a tournament meant to get EG, Fnatic, and maybe a few other teams easy access to a big tournament. So far the only information has come from people involved with EG and Fnatic. (Not basing this on anything just showing how easy it is to jump to conclusions)

I am clearly not going about this the wrong way. I rarely do any self-advertising of myself, and I have been one of the top north american underrated players for ages now beating all of these high profile players, many, many, times.
Which is why I released the replay pack showing this, as people do not always get to see how damn good a player is. So I'm playing the politics game on this one because I sir am being the one forced to to be able to make my dream happen of getting into this whole "western e-sports thing."
But it seems someone like me with a great storyline *har har* is actually trying to be barred from playing in a league that should be based off gameplay rather than who I know.
So when something like this comes up, I cannot just sit back anymore and not say anything. I do want support and hope that people will support me in this.
And people that are trying to defend them deleting my entry, or anyone else's like trump or destiny's - that's an absolute ludicrous argument. They wanted to hear opinions from the masses of who should be recommended to get into this league, why would they try to silence people that do manage to get a lot of support?

Hey, I'm not sure why that happened ... definitely not malicious. Sorry about that, will try to figure it out asap

Reminds me of my local hockey league, everyone new everyone. I just moved in and tryed out for the AA hockey team. (used to play for a AAA team back in montreal), i got 1 shotout and 1 goal scored against me in the tryout. I was cut down to cc and ended up just quiting the league. Now I play for my school and quite honestly after that happened to me I lost all respect for hockey players. The reason i loved e-sports was because it didn't have anything biased about it. The gsl was open to everyone and who ever won advanced. Who lost would have to try again next season. Please don't let it come down to this.
I hope NASL fixes this soon.
avilo fighting!! :D

And seriously, relax. Not sure what happened, but I'm very well aware of how many votes you had (13,000).. I added you back in.
