Note: Please do not start a flame war/balance QQs/etc etc. And if there's a similar thread to this, I couldn't find it, sorry.

Just wondering what your favorite MU to watch is and why. Personally I like ZvPs, especially when both players use the full extent of their race. I think my favorite ZvP so far was MysticPrime vs. ChitaPrime on metalopolis, where Mystic went nuts with the nydus worms, but Chita held on and played really well himself. Overall ZvP seems to be full of action, at least from all the korean replays I watch. I also enjoy, PvT in super late game, especially if it comes down to a gigantic "war of the worlds" type battle(s).

So what's your favorite match up to watch?

I love PvZ. The diversity of strats I see move much beyond other matchups. TvZ looks nice occasioanlly but does not bring the constant diversity that PvZ does for me.

PvZ and TvZ are both fairly interesting. As far as mirrors go TvT>>>>>>the other two for me.

I love PvZ as well as TvZ. Also I think ZvZ can be very entertaining from a spectator's POV.

TvZ by far.

if TvP would evolve into the mech style Painuser used on Tyler on Kulas, then that could end up as one of my favorites =)

TvZ, marines vs banelings is generally pretty entertaining. Especially burrowed or baneling bombs. Add in infestors and it can get messy fast.

TvZ, both sides have the largest diversity of strats available so the game feels very different.

PvZ is fun to watch for similar reason.

In TvP the midgame is ALMOST always bioball vs. robo bay units, so I don't like it very much.

ZvZ is actually kinda fun and crazy because no one has it really 'figured out' yet.

I used to love the classic TvZ, but I gotta admit that PvZ feels like much more of a "strong" fight. It really requires some creativity on the P side and split second decision making on the Z side (as always, but even moreso depending on how P plays). Yeah yeah, I get that mass marines and baneling micro is fun to watch, but the stuff P comes up with right now is so so so interesting and terrifying to me as a zerg player. Very fun. Sometimes I get stomped in seconds. Sometimes I stomp instantly. And anything else is pure gold. Very fun.

PvZ > TvZ > PvT > TvT > ZvZ > PvP

Actually most casters seem to prefer casting TvZ a lot so it starts to get boring.

TvZ. But I guess that's also partly because we've had so many cool games lately in this match up.

TvZ for SC2, PvZ for bw. If storms were made more viable in PvZ it would easily become my favourite.

I just love seeing TvZ, because there is action most of the times. Harassment has a big role in these games, and relatively small mistakes can lead to gigantic gaps in the later game.

It just feels very fast paced, for that it gets my vote =)

new tvz, relentless aggression or doomball vs SO MANY BANELINGS +other stuff.

1 base tvz is on the other hand best known as booooorring

playing it on the other hand at least from my T pov is pretty tense so as for favorite played mu i'm not sure.

"best" mirror would be TvT, only one that doesn't suck horribly imo.

PvT > TvZ > TvP > ZvZ = TvT = PvP

Mirror matches are too short, people really need to learn how to play long macro based games in mirrors. But it wont happen till somebody figures out how to consequently play a good defense.

Maybe that's how epic he thinks it is lol. I just hope PvT transitions more into what it was back in BW, because they produced some pretty epic match ups (BeST anyone?). But it's interesting to see how so many people love the TvZ match ups, I guess the micro game is coming back large from a Boxer

Non-mirror - TvZ

Mirror - TvT

Anything involving protoss tends to be highly boring to watch because toss barely does any harassing these days. This is what any protoss matchup looks like to me:

Pretty sure you'll find BeSt on the other end of that mu now, toss is the doompusher and the terran is the one sending his troops to the grinder.

I'd not object to having it the other way around, I like tanks... a lot, but I guess i'll have to try to mimic BeSt's flanks and epic neverending supply of troops.

Like most people I love tvz. Did in BW too. I play protoss though so I tend to not watch as many tvz's but they're definitely the most entertaining. I just feel like I'd like to find SOMETHING to learn/want to try in a game so I generally don't see many tvz's unless it's a big tournament game.

True words indeed sir, true words. I, as a fan of starcraft, just like to see epic games. I don't like 2-3 harasses, big push, win. But I find the ICCup maps on SC2 to be quite enjoyable, and I hope the tournament directors for GSL3 will throw in some ICCup maps. Considering they seem to have less minerals per patch/geyser, so expanding becomes more vital, and when I play custom games on ICCup maps, I feel my play gets more broodwar-esque, so how much better for the much ups if I can get to see my favorite players play on these maps. Something like Tester vs. NaDa on Blue Storm, or SlayerS_BoxeR vs. NaDa on Match Point, FoxeR vs. InCa on Heartbreak Ridge <3.

id rather watch a mirror than TvP so boring and stale. MMM is god for winning games not for spectating. on the other hand zerg is so macro based that it makes for great games of many bases and intense battles. ZvX is very dynamic and entertaining

TvZ IMO is the most fun match-up to play and watch. The ability for cunning to play a huge part in the mid-game is what entices me to the match-up.

TvT is usually interesting, as long as it's not Tank+Viking+Marine wars.

I tend to hate TvP, because it's all about bio vs Colossi. PvP is worse though, because I haven't seen many deviations from 4-gate into mass colossi.

tvt in bw and then in sc2 :p. In bw its just epic tank lines everywhere and turrets. In sc2 the flying goliath aka viking and the 3 supply for tanks and the 100 costs for the towers ruin the fun a bit and make the games a bit shorter. Also tvt is the match up where you can go mech only before reaching the 3/3 upgrades and the 200 supply and building mashine docks at every ramp and expo.

To watch and play by a long long shots.
Long macro mirror matches, and then TvZ then everything else.
