God, what a shitty thing to have to go through at ten years old. I'm hoping that this girl and her baby are well-supported by their family. = /

Maybe I'm just overly anal, but "Gypsy" has the same sort of connotations that "nigger" might hold, so it's generally not a great word to use. Stick with "Romany".

On a serious note... 10 years old is way too young to be having sex. A 10 year old is way too immature to handle the possible pregnancy chance if they're zooming through puberty.

This is a gipsy , not Romanian .
They are indians or something , they should not be called romanians , that's just a shame for me as a native romanian , we are ppl not animals , how can you procreate a kid at this age , what care had those parents had taken of those kids ?
That's just stupid and kinda standard for a gipsy even if it appears animalic and indecent for the rest of us .

A ten year old is obviously not mature enough to raise a child, but I think Americans are a bit uptight about age in regards to sexuality in general. I suppose this sort of thing isn't uncommon in some cultures though. It is what it is.

I think this is sad news, I don't really see any ways the little girl can take care of the child, and if the grandmother is a gypsy, it becomes even worst....

If anything attitudes toward child/adolescent sexuality have become more negative recently. It wouldn't have been too uncommon to see girls around 12-13 being married off in the first class western world a few hundred years ago.

Gypsies normally marry at the age of 13-14 but ofcourse they can marry younger, but that's not something surprising or new for people who have to live with gypsies.
