Important Announcement: Stop signing up. I'll make a new thread for the next ITC.
The iCCup TV Challenge (ITC) is a weekly 32 man tournament of all the up and coming players looking to make a name for themselves early on in the Starcraft 2 gaming scene. It will act as a predecessor tournament to the iCCup TV League, which will be home to some of the bigger named players who have already proven themselves in previous ITCs or through their play in other big tournaments.
The ITC will be a relatively open tournament featuring some of the newer platinum and upper gold level players. Any player who is looking to join the ranks of the best will now have the perfect place to start. However, if you even want to get a shot at taking down players such as LzGaMeR and HuK, you will have to fight your way through 31 other challenging hopefuls.
Every ITC is streamed on USTREAM starting at 9 PM Eastern Time. The stream starts with the Round of 16 and goes all the way till the finals.
The Schedule (All times EST)
7 PM – Check In: I will log in to SC2 at 7 PM. I ask that you message me (Alou - Sileo.Alex[at]gmail[dot]com) at some point between 7 and 7:30 saying you are able to play the tournament tonight.
7:30 PM – Check In Closes: You must be checked in by this time. If you are unable to make it by 7:30 due to a conflict, please PM me on the TL forums. For instance, if you won’t get home till 8 PM and still want to play, PM me a day in advance and I will allow you to stay in the tournament. Replacement players should be prepared to play at this point as well. If someone doesn’t show up, you will take their spot. So be online as well.
8 PM – First Round Starts: The first round of the tournament (Round of 32) will begin at 8 PM. All matches need to be starting at this time. If both players, however, check in at 7 PM, they are welcome to start their first match prior to 8 PM. Be in contact with your first round opponent and you might be able to take a break in between the first two rounds for bathroom, dinner, etc.

Replays (Required)
All replays must be emailed to iCCupAlou@Gmail.com. If you do not send in the replay files to this email, you will not participate in any iCCup events for the next month no matter how well you do in the ITC. The winner of the round must send me the replay between each and every round! The purpose of sending in these replays is so that we can stream your games and put them up as VODs. We enjoy watching you guys play and we want to help others see you guys play, so send us the replays and they will most likely be streamed on our Livestream or posted on YouTube. SEND US THE REPLAYS!!
Tournament Format
Round 1 (32 Players): Best Of 1.
Round 2 (16 Players): Best Of 1.
Round 3 (8 Players): Best Of 3.
Round 4 (4 Players): Best Of 3.
Round 5 (2 Players): Best Of 3.
Top 4 are invited to the iCCup TV League.

Currently in Diamond League
You must have played at least 20 games.
There is no current ELO restrictions.
All players must leave their FULL B.net 2.0 Email (Or PM it to me) and Race they intend to play with.
All races, including random are allowed
Map Order
Round 1: Lost Temple
Round 2: Metalopolis
Round 3: Scrap Station, Kulas Ravine, Steppes of War
Round 4: Fighting Spirit, Lost Temple, Blistering Sands
Round 5: Steppes of War, Metalopolis, Destination
Rules
1) Any cheating, hacking or abuse of a bug will result in an automatic disqualification and can also result in a minimum of a 6 month suspension from all iCCup TV sponsored events. Second time will result in a lifetime ban.
2) All players must pick a race to play and NOT switch it. This only applies per event. For example a player could be Zerg in ITC 1, Protoss in ITC 2, and Terran in ITC 3. But during an event you must pick a single race and stick with it.
3) All players must allow iCCup to stream your match if it is asked and the match has not started yet.
4) No spectators are allowed other than iCCup Staff members in games that are streamed. If the game is not being streamed, players are allowed to have friends spectate if BOTH players agree to it.
5) Respect all players and iCCup Staff. I’m not uptight about being constantly good mannered, but you WILL be kind to everyone or you WON’T play.

I'd like to say i'm sorry and be as annoying as possible, I am going to play as Terran. In case you were wondering, i am going to stay as terran because there are many things for Zerg that irk me very much. Also, if possible i'd like to be known as Ursad0n and when SC2 comes out that will be my account name for B.net 2.0. I have an account with that name but it is unranked and untouched. As it is my friends account and he said he doesn't like RTS games. But i still have some builds that i made up (Not taking credit @ all) by compiling many things from builds that were suggested to me by people in IRC and on my stream. :D

Your account needs to have 20+ games and be ranked platinum or top 20 gold. No exceptions. And when that is done you will be put down as Terran for this ITC. And as you keep swapping, you will not be allowed to swap for this ITC. So consider yourself a Terran player.

MMkay, i am a little confused. So i need 20 games in my Platinum Division as Terran to be
considered Terran for the ITC. I have completed somewhere around 7-8 games as Terran so far and i am fairly sure i won them all. My last 6 Ladder games (As of 1:52 EST) at the time of this post i have won as only Terran and i will continue to play them and will, without a doubt, complete 20 by Monday.
Also, since i am confused, and sorry because i am being a SUPER nuisance i would like to confirm that i understand this post correctly. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
- You (I) need to have 20 or more games won in my division as Platinum (or top 20 gold) and i do. (Done)
-You (I) need to pick a F***ing race. (Done, Terran, no more changes)
-During the Tourney you (I) cannot change races. Period.

I will be starting my second year there as an undergrad in the fall. I won't be there during the summer though.
Also, for anyone interested in replays of the past ITC. I have all but two games and I will be getting them up in some sort of replay pack this weekend. I can't download at college because of the UGA downloading rules. Hopefully Saturday I can get it up on starcraft-replays or something. I am competing in Craft Cup, but I fail so that won't last long. I'll also try to get brackets up on the weekend as well.

if you guys check peoples plat rank and points to even out the brackets skill wise i should say that me and avilo.avilo are in the same platinum division and are probably 2 of the better players in this tournament so you might wanna put us in different 16 player brackets
although i think avilo is on the backup list, while i am on the main list for the tournament. so avilo might not even play in it
im not asking you to "fix" the brackets..... im just assuming you check everyones points to even it out skillwise so im giving you this information to help you out

No, I will not change the brackets to fit a players preference. They are random. I also will never mess with the brackets to make them anything but random. And yes you are asking me to fix the brackets as you want me to put them a certain way based on a number. Don't bring this discussion up again. Good luck in the tournament later today.

PainUser is not allowed in the tournament as he has yet to send me the replay from his first round game of the previous ITC. He is not allowed in this tournament or any other iCCup TV event until he gives me that replay.
Edit - And if he does send the replay in he will still be put on the back up list.

I am really sorry for this guys. My internet just decided not to work and I couldn't get on SC2, Skype, TL or anything else. Updated brackets. For those of you who did BO3's I couldn't figure out how to make it something other than 2-0 so I just reported the win. If I made a mistake with moving anyone on when they shouldn't have (specifically the Uthgar vs Menace game as I am not sure if I got this right or not) then message me. I can change it.

You didn't post race, so you're not getting in.
Telecom and Painuser have both played in previous ITC's and I know their races. They also contacted me in game multiple times to make sure they were signed up despite not leaving their races.
The two players that posted now will be added to back up list. You'll most likely play, as usually a few players do not show.

It takes me a long time to get all the back up players. The long time is to make sure all players aren't rushed to finish their first round games that may start really late. When the system for updating everything is a person, it takes a while, so be patient and get over the fact that you have to do nothing for a period of time.

The tournament will be held on Monday as that is the day we do ITC's. So pretty much Monday at the times indicated on the first post.

Yes, but usually have around 7ish no shows. So back ups can usually get a spot of they are on and message me at the right time (See initial post).

The bracket is now online! All the rules in the initial post still apply. I expect every participant to follow them or you will be removed. Replays need to be sent to the email provided between rounds by the winner.
For the seeding on the bracket, you were entered into the program based on when you signed up then I randomized the list 7 times (For ITC 7). The seeds have nothing to do with how I think of you. (Seriously, Arlock would have been 32nd if that was the case. ZING!)
For people who signed up and are not on the bracket. There are always people who do not show up. Please be ready at the time specified in the initial post of the thread. I always have space. You can still get in.
Contact information will be posted on the initial post closer to the tournament date. I will also add the races to the bracket (Doing that now actually hopefully)

The Schedule (All times EST)
7 PM – Check In: I will log in to SC2 at 7 PM. I ask that you message me (Alou - Sileo.Alex[at]gmail[dot]com) at some point between 7 and 7:30 saying you are able to play the tournament tonight.
7:30 PM – Check In Closes: You must be checked in by this time. If you are unable to make it by 7:30 due to a conflict, please PM me on the TL forums. All players will be asked to wait till 9 PM to start their second round matches even if both players are ready earlier. I will tell all 16 players when they can start their second round. Please be prepared from 8:50 – 9:10 to start your second round match.
9 PM – uStream Goes Live: Also at 9, the uStream will go live. We will be casting one match each round. The casters will decide who they want to cast. We may delay the second round 5 minutes so the casters can get their game going for the uStream viewers.
9 PM Onwards: From this point on, the next rounds will start when all contestants are ready. So the third round (Round of 8) will start when all second round matches are finished. The fourth round will start when all third round matches are finished. Etc. The tournament admin will tell you when the rounds are starting.

It's a weekly tournament. We have one event going on in phase 2. If you read the post you would realize what you need to do to be a participant. Do that if you wish to participate.

Alright. The tournament check in begins at 7 PM EST. You have from this time till 7:30 PM EST to message me saying you are free for the night and able to compete in the tournament. If you do not message me by 7:30, I will assume you are not playing and give your spot to a back up player.
Back up players or players who signed up but are not on the initial bracket: Please message me at 7:30 PM EST. You will be able to take some of the free spots and there are ALWAYS free spots. Please try not to message me from 7 to 7:25ish.
Once you check in, you can play your first round once your opponent also checks in. You can find your opponent on the bracket in the first post of the thread. Below it you can find his email to add him. (Emails will be deleted once players are eliminated from the tournament). Your first round game should start by 8 PM EST
Winners: Report the win to me on Bnet and email me the replay at iCCupAlou@Gmail.com. If you don't email me the replay, consider yourself disqualified. We do occasionally stream the replays and a lot of our casters with youtube accounts enjoy casting them. It'll give you a chance to get more fans. I also do my best to release a replay pack for the tournament.
The second round begins at 9 PM EST. You MUST wait for my command to start the second round. That is when the stream goes live and everything needs to be synced up so one side of the bracket isn't far ahead of the other. From then on we continue with the tournament as each round finishes.

Love doing these ITCs. I can just ask for custom games and like 4 different people from ITC respond. Woohoo! lol Next one will probably be after launch. I don't like planning them on last days of beta since Blizzard never really tells when beta goes down.

Talking to Raelcun about this now. Something might have happened to the stream. I'll post again when I have more knowledge on what happened.
Edit - According to Raelcun the finals weren't recorded as the recording stopped by mistake. I'm sorry you don't get a chance to see yourself in the finals.

Imo a new thread and revamped sign-up system may be needed after retail so you don't get pages and pages of people just signing up, as well as being too late to participate.

Ok Alou is out last minute for the ITC tonight so I will be organizing this tonight. All sign ups for this weeks tournament will start after this post so if you signed up, please do so again.

Sure cannot hurt. 16 man tourneys are easy pz ! I will however be off battle.net and TL. I will be communicating solely by email. However the brackets will have all the information you need to contact your opponent.
Remember you should not play the second round until 9PM and our casters have selected a match to observe. More or less just follow the rules in the OP but contact me by email instead of Alou. iccup.diamond[at]gmail.com.
