Being German requires a certain degree of anger. And those who patched their SC2 already can't launch any UMS :/

Is there any way to ping the EU server, so I can know the second when they go up ?
What's the EU server address ?

Not sure what the "up" code is, but I appear to get a response of 402800fa00000000 from 213.248.127.130:1119 for down after sending this tcp packet: 4000000a66020aed2d66adc8e80a01002999002bb4b700001f340000299964b723a100001f34423732ba002bb4b700002af70607 with your email in hex appended to the end.

So it might look like:
> 192.168.1.64 213.248.127.130 TCP 52374 > bnetgame [PSH, ACK] Seq=1 Ack=1 Win=32768 Len=70
Data: 4000000a66020aed2d66adc8e80a01002999002bb4b700001f340000299964b723a100001f34423732ba002bb4b700002af7060761626340706f772e636f6d

< 213.248.127.130 192.168.1.64 TCP bnetgame > 52374 [PSH, ACK] Seq=1 Ack=71 Win=5840 Len=8
Data: 402800fa00000000

I've only spent 5 minutes on it so that might be wrong but it looks about right.

Does anyone know what the bnet server response is when it's not 'down for maintenance'?

woah! i think it is not a good idea to spam the server with your personal test tcp packets... that will make an actual launch of the server even harder, if enough people are doing this...

The main reason for the delay of the non-US versions are the different timezones.
Despite our efforts in genetic engineering we're still unable to provide you with enhanced versions of our Developers capable of working for 24 hours a day

You are right, US Beta was launched before the European one. But our US players experienced several issues with that version and we chose to fix those issues before launching Phase Two in other regions.
The main problems were fixed yesterday evening (EU time) and therefore we're now working on the non-EU versions.
After release we'll try to minimize these kind of differences between US and non-US versions, given the fact that the timezone issue will still be there and there will always be a minimum delay, just like we're doing with WoW patches and so on.

I can assure you that we're doing our best to bring you back into Beta as soon as possible, please bear with us

Bah, if this is true we wont get a Beta before late monday.
Read carefully "several issues with that version and we chose to fix those issues before launching"
& "After release we'll try to minimize these kind of differences between US and non-US versions"

So when a new patch is live in US we can assume that in the next day(s) this will also hit us respec Asia.
im fine :)

What are you talking about? He says that they fixed the problems in the US and they are now fixing those problems for the EU / ASIA beta. He also says that they will try to avoid this US-can-only-access-beta-for-2-days problem. Beta tonight imo.
