An official announcement by the Obama administration disclosing the reality of extraterrestrial life is imminent. For several months, senior administration officials have been quietly deliberating behind closed doors how much to disclose to the world about extraterrestrial life. Dissatisfaction among powerful institutions such as the U.S. Navy over the decades-long secrecy policy has given a boost to efforts to disclose the reality of extraterrestrial life and technology.
The impending disclosure announcement follows upon the secret implementation of a year long openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Over the period February 12-14, 2008, the United Nations held closed doors discussions where approximately 30 nations secretly agreed on a new openness policy on UFOs and extraterrestrial life in 2009. The openness policy was implemented but never publicly announced due to threats against UN diplomats not to disclose details of the secret agreement. h The secret UN agreement was based on two conditions. First, UFOs would continue to appear around the world; and second, the openness policy would not lead to social unrest in liberal democracies. Both conditions have been satisfied making it possible for the next stage to begin – official disclosure of extraterrestrial life.
Obama’s September 24, 2009 chairing of the UN Security Council meeting on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, signaled his emerging leadership role in tackling major global issues such as nuclear weapons. The Nobel Peace Prize was an important step in giving global legitimacy to President Obama in making an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. Obama is therefore poised to play a prominent role in the increased global governance that will be necessary after an extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. The timing would most likely coincide sometime soon after his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech on December 10, 2009 in Oslo, Norway.
There have been various sources that have revealed deliberations are underway to make an announcement concerning the existence of extraterrestrial life by the end of 2009. These include, Dr Pete Peterson, a whistleblower who has recently emerged revealing high level discussions have taken place concerning announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life. In a Project Camelot interview, Dr Peterson revealed that “Obama is planning to disclose the reality of ET contact by the end of the year; and that most, but not all, of the ET visitors are friendly.”
Another source is David Wilcock, a prominent researcher of emerging scientific paradigms. Wilcock has been told by additional independent sources that extraterrestrial disclosure will take place by the end of 2009. He furthermore claimed in a Coast to Coast AM radio interview that “a 2-hour international TV special has already been booked that will introduce an alien species, similar to humans, to the world.”
In addition, popular NASA and space researcher, Richard Hoagland, has publicly come forward to reveal that the October 9, LCROSS ‘bombing’ mission of the moon, discovered an ancient base at the moon’s South Pole. Reviewing the scientific data achieved by NASA’s LCROSS mission, Hoagland concluded, also on the popular late night Coast to Coast AM radio show, that “LCROSS is part of a carefully constructed campaign to prepare the populace for imminent disclosure. The President of the United States will soon announce that scientists have discovered ruins on the moon, he added. Nobody saw the LCROSS debris plume because the probes struck a building which swallowed the effects of the explosion.”
Finally, two independent and confidential sources have revealed to me that face to face meetings have recently occurred between U.S. military officials with one or more groups of extraterrestrial visitors. This has allegedly led to confidence being built for future cooperation with the extraterrestrials that will be formally announced to the world public either at the end of 2009, or early 2010.
In conclusion, a diverse number of sources and events point to some form of extraterrestrial disclosure being made by the end of 2009, or early 2010. Official disclosure will most likely emerge in either of two scenarios. One is that President Obama will announce the existence of extraterrestrial visitors, and describe one or more of these to the world. This scenario is supported by Peterson, Wilcock, and my own confidential sources. The second scenario is that an announcement will be made concerning the discovery of artificial structures at the moon’s South Pole, as revealed by the LCROSS mission. This scenario is supported by Hoagland.
Which ever of the above scenarios is used for announcing the existence of extraterrestrial life or technology, President Obama will figure prominently. Behind the scenes, powerful institutions are ensuring that nothing derails the planned disclosure announcement. The disclosure will follow upon a year of greater government openness on UFOs in accord with a policy secretly developed at the United Nations. If extraterrestrial disclosure does occur at the end of 2009 or early 2010, President Obama will lead an unprecedented effort to promote global governance through the United Nations. The Obama administration and its supporters are poised to take a bold step forward in helping our planet become an interplanetary culture that openly deals with the challenges posed by extraterrestrial life.
LOL ya right. So are trying to tell me that intelligent life is visiting earth??? you do realize that traveling any distance in space is only possible through the creation of worm holes right? This is ludicrous. a moon base? your just making me smile now. You do realize the examiner is simply a joke newspaper right?
I would call you a troll- but damn this is just too much effort.

Read most of the article. Sounds like one big troll / publicity stunt.
Until there are reliable sources for these claims, they are as good as lies.
I found this part particularly amusing:

I don't feel like disproving some article writer's troll attempt, but I doubt it'd be hard to tear this paragraph apart.
(*adds examiner.com to the same category as FOX news*)
I'd be the first one to celebrate but: - Richard C. Hoagland (born April 25, 1945) is an American author and a proponent of various conspiracy theories about NASA, lost alien civilizations on the moon and on Mars and other related topics (from wikipedia) - David Wilcock is a professional lecturer, filmmaker and researcher of ancient civilizations, consciousness science, and new paradigms of matter and energy (from his own website here) - Dr. Pete Peterson: I couldn't find a biography or something. But project camelot interviewed him apparently (David Wilcock was one of the interviewers) and just reading the issues they discussed is enough to know he's just like the other guys that are mentioned as source.
I was about to be pissed about the outcome of this thread, but only in the event that OP's post was not copy and pasted. Too bad it was, and now all hell has broken loose.
Sounds like another chunk of tabloid fun. Was almost hopeful q.q but not really. Btw, here's the rest of the articles that writer has produced: Honolulu Exopolitics Examiner Sounds pretty fail. Either way, riveting tale chap.
Whether or not this is real, I wouldn't eliminate it as a possibility of something that could happen. I know nasa covers a lot of shit up and people generally just overlook it

Have you ruled out other causes for your evidence, such as rocks or cosmic rays entering the Earth's upper atmosphere, or other phenomena that we already know takes place up there?
Yeah if you look at the sources that are linked in the article they are referring to psychic people's dreams and other weird stuff so no, this sucks balls.
I actually got quite aroused by reading the op, if only it was true.

Okay, I've listen and read allot from the sources and from the person that wrote the article and he is a headcase. here are some of his previous work. To save everyones time,I'll give a summary:
*Conspiracy themes, bascially all world governments, even EU and UN is hiding the existence of aliens from the rest of the world.
*Vague bullshit, of what i've heard and read there is nothing solid or valid evidence or even reasonable, its all vague speculation.
*Healing, apparently we have healing powers....
*Alien abduction... nuff said. The reason why we are aware that we are being abducted is becasue we are immune against brain controlling devices.
*Human DNA consists 15% of Alien DNA, this is why we are different from the rest of the animals (up yours theory of evolution!!)
*Crop Circle depicts solar eruptions, yes you heard it right. Crop Circles appear every time a solar flare errupt.
Nasa is attempting to prove there is life in our solar system on moons around Jupiter, but are hiding the fact that the completely visible(with a telescope) moon of ours is housing an ancient base UNDERNEATH a solid crust with no atmosphere...

It's mostly video, a lot of russian stuff, i don't have the links obviously. As for opinions, i knew an old pilot, who was telling to me that there is not a slightest doubt at all, i don't take opinions too seriously though. You can watch a documentary if you are interested, i remember i liked the ufo part of "Secret Space" for a compilation of very interesting footage (google it), you can disregard sound effects, history lessons and opinions, but i liked these parts too, good entertainment value overall.
cool footage on youtube: crazy stuff, this is a popular video too
Crop circles aren't created by UFOs: they're created by people. This fact and the methods to do it have been known for a long time.
The second video could be explained by anything from a field set up to do this, to just simple video editing.
By the way, there is some amusing footage of REAL UFOS on Youtube that people have created by video editing. You might be interested in checking those out.
And always remember that there are a LOT of people out there who are really dedicated to faking "evidence" of UFOs.
I thought it was common knowledge that there are aliens? Too many satellite photographs, astronauts' stories, eyewitnesses and so on. Also, it only makes perfect sense. Guess some people still live in denial, which is most likely explained with the religions that don't support the idea of extraterrestrial life.

Next.
Obviously people are making them. i've watched one show dedicated to that, it was mostly some basic and ugly crap. Some of the biggest and most complicated shapes seem impossible to recreate without some huuuuge teamwork affair. As for the second video, i'm not sure it's fake, there is also interesting annotation to the video.
Anyway, some patterns are gorgeous, even if man made. Especially in this video with great music.

Yep your right. of course some civilization has found a way to create worm wholes and rip the space time continuum to come over to our little rock. What could i be thinking?
there are three ways to travel through the vastness of space:
Cryogenic freeze yourself and wait 1340985015701348971034581345 years till you get there
travel at light speed- which is impossible and if you hit anything you die
Create wormholes. Good luck making one because the theoretical energy requirements to create one are on black whole level of energies. After you make one, you then have to go through it- and then find the way out, where you want while traveling through extra dimensional space.
Yep perfectly logical.
Guessing you don't know anything about physics either? Or wait- the aliens are like god! they can do what ever they want because they are so old, and so technologically advanced. here is hoping this debate spirals into a religious debate.

Well I did ask him, though not so much for my search of the divine truth burried deep within the confines of the illuminati but mysteriously revealed through various obscure websites, as for the entertainment value.
Does life exist on another planets in an infinite universe? Yes. Is this article real or would aliens bother to just look at us every now and then? Not a chance.
There has got to be extraterrestrial life out there.....but for extraterrestrial INTELLIGENT life I cannot say the same.
Anyone who thinks aliens are gonna visit us is dumb. Firstly we have the chances that intelligent life will spawn on another planet. Then we have the Fermi Paradox. Supposing aliens can make technological advances at the same rate as humans, then they should already have light speed travel (assuming this is possible). Unless the aliens happened to become intelligent at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME as us or later than humans, they should have already discovered light speed travel and wormholes etc and should have already visited us. But they haven't. And there's a bunch of other reasons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox
Lastly, light speed travel is not fucking possible. And if you don't have that, it takes several decades just to get out of your own solar system.
No aliens. But maybe some single celled organisms or eukaryotes or whatever. Sorry all you sci fi nuts. Go prepare for a zombie apocalypse instead.

Hi - what is your physics education, may I ask? The reason we are still doing physics research is because we don't know everything (just in case you didn't realize). You also may have heard of attempts to form a theory of everything - this is because our two existing dominant theories are incompatible at a certain scales! You also may have heard that there are significant observational problems with application of general relativity to the universe, which is why the existence of dark matter and dark energy (which, if they exist, are completely alien and unknown to us) has been hypothesized. We know very little, and not a lot should be ruled out in terms of future possibilities.
Also, I suggest you look into theoretically possible methods of propulsion (with currently in in-surmounted engineering challenges) which may eventually allow us to approach a reasonable percentage of the speed of light. Remember, alpha centauri is only what...4 light years away?
You are being pretty unreasonable and aggressive in a manner that is not proportional to the quality of your arguments.
The suggestion that aliens "must" exist may not be entirely sound, but it is based on the sheer vastness of the universe, and the fact that it increasingly seems (especially with new kepler data) that planets are extremely pervasive. As such it is understandable that people feel that way (what is your resistance to it?) Who is suggesting that aliens must be intelligent? I would be elated to find that the simplest bacteria-like organism lived on another planet.
As for UFOs - people tend to forget what exactly they are: unidentified flying objects. I see quite a few of these every night unless they are close enough that I can tell they are airplanes. However, there are definitely some interesting instances that have involved fairly credible witnesses with corroborated stories (such as multiple military pilot sightings corroborated with radar data from the air and the ground). These have not been reliably explained, and from what I understand there are a number which, when analyzed by government committees (whose specific function was to explain them) were determined unexplainable. This obviously does not scream "extraterrestrial" but it certainly is one of the (many) indications that we don't know everything (or even very much).
Also, I just noticed Misrah's citation of GR so I'd like to draw attention to the aforementioned fact that observations are NOT consistent with GR's predictions which is why dark energy and dark matter are proposed to provide the necessary correction factors. What Einstein did was impressive and important, but GR will assuredly be replaced in time. One of the most important things to be successful in learning (especially in doing) science is to realize how little we know.
