WGT kind of died off with this. I think it was much more fun with the Clan League. Now it's the same teams we see week in and week out going at it.

Not from an administrative perspective. It sucks when 50% of the league has forfeits on a weekly basis, it's a lot of dumb tedious work for admins and not worth doing it (from our perspective).

Well, it's for the players so the admins shouldn't decide to axe it because they're doing the jobs they signed up for. I mean, I like seeing teams rise through divisions and seeing some underdogs take it to the named teams. WGT was always my favorite team league sort of thing, but I guess the days of that are long gone. iCCup-CL is ok, but it's just not the same for me.

the point is that it's no use to do the work when nobody is playing. it's like why would we even try to start a ladder at this point with ICCUP, nobody would play the WGT ladder at this point so it would be a waste to even maintain a ladder. it is similarly a waste to maintain the entire CL when only 2 of the 4 divisions are even active.

Then keep 4 or 5 divisions. That seems to make sense, right? I can't be the only one that is a little sick of seeing the same players, the same matches, and the same teams week in and week out.

Massacres League, BWCL, ICCUP CL, UCL. There you go. All the teams you could possibly want. Problem solved.

No admin signs up to run a league full of walkovers, but that's all the lower divisions of WGT ever seemed to amount to the past few seasons. I don't blame WGT for cutting down to Titans League - their hard work is going towards something actually and not just "W.O. ... W.O. ... W.O. ..."
