Flash managed to make ALL the right decisions to inch himself back into the game. Yes July threw game 3 away, but I'm sick and tired of hearing "omg XX so threw that game way Flash isn't S-class he sux" I sure don't see much people pissing off at Jaedong when he pulls off a insane comeback. (POV of a Biased Flash fan) Yes but why does he have to be in that position practically every game against Zerg =/ It's getting harder and harder to be excited about amazing Flash wins (and yes they have been quite amazing!) when he makes no progress toward winning OSL/MSL each season and even right now it feels like he's got very little chance to beat the ZvT MONSTER Effort in a BO5. That's the curse of Flash - the expectations for him have always been unreasonably high. Basically, become the greatest player of all time or you're a failure. While the previous three Starleague seasons seemed like speedbump flukes (oops I lost to ForGG playing retardedly, oops I lost to Luxury by somehow having 2000 mins at 130 supply, oops I got 2 Hatched twice by Yarnc, oops I lost to GGPlay on Plasma somehow, oops I lost to Best, oops I got BBSed by Leta), this past epic fail (1-4 in games that mattered, getting murdered in all 4 losses) has made it painfully clear that Flash is a long way from even winning another Starleague (not counting GSL here), forget becoming the greatest player of all time like was practically expected 15 months ago. As a side note, Flash is now guaranteed to win or lose to the winner of all 4 GOM leagues (counting GSI). I guess that's not saying much when you make 3 of the 4 finals.

Truer words couldn't have been said. Flash has such high expectations because we've seen glimpses of what he's capable of. Flash is the type of player that when he plays his best he is totally and entirely unstoppable to the point that the only person with a glimmer of hope of keeping up is Jaedong. I honestly believe Flash is probably the most skilled player out there right now but he's just not showing what he did just a year ago.

I think I have to root for EffOrt, probably a better match than Iris vs Flash. Probably. Erm, I didn't catch the games but Flash and FBH were even economically for almost the entire game.

He didn't scout the 'ling rush and still managed to stay alive against ~30 'lings with only 8 marines and amazing SCV micro, though was well behind. The crazy thing is, after that, July didn't play as badly as lot of people think. I think his muta micro was so-so and he made a miscalculation and had too many gas expansions and not enough minerals, but he still did okay. Flash was just terrific continuing to apply pressure before July got too big too handle. Game 2 was mostly July's fault, but game 3 was a legitimately awesome comeback from Flash. I think Flash should just be obsessive about scouting when he's up against zergs, like a toss player would. He just would win against so many of these weird builds against him.

I know people are all "omg Flash so good!" but seriously, if you don't think Effort is going to win games like game 2 and 3 with those huge advantages July had, you're fooling yourselves. I hope Flash keeps practicing, he's my favorite player and he really needs this GSL win over Effort to prove he can still take a league. Go go go Flash! Overlooking Iris is a big mistake.

Yea seriously, Berserker does have the TvZ to steamroll effort, and not to mention they are on the fucking same team. I think Berserker vs Effort could very well go all 5 games. Iris has been playing great starcraft all year, dont sleep on him.

The only reason Iris has even a tiny chance is that he and Effort are on the same team. + Show Spoiler [PL] + And also because neither player will be practicing much for this with PL Playoffs against Samsung happening right before it. Iris has been playing solid all year but watch, oh, the last FIFTEEN ZvTs Effort has played. Other than the Flash BBS fail, Effort has looked absolutely unstoppable. Effort's ZvT in a BO5, especially against someone other than surgical-precision-build Fantasy, is currently one of the safest possible bets in SC.

Why on earth would you bring up Fantasy when talking about TvZ? TvP the guy is a monster... TvT the guy is a monster... but TvZ? Lol... Fantasy doesn't have jaw dropping TvZ by any means, in fact his precision builds still possess small holes that players like EffOrt excel at exploiting.
