To me the major factor was the play as Bisu got his second big push together - with templar this time. JD was focused on his muta control, trying to snipe templar and avoid goons, and as a result let his massive hydralisk army get slaughtered by storms. They didn't even move - Jaedong lost about twenty hydralisks to about three storms and Bisu rolled the fourth expansion. He drove Bisu off and re-expanded, but he never seriously cut into Bisu's army size again after that. I think he might actually - with that insane lurker field holding his fourth - have done better getting drop as Hogil did yesterday against Violet rather than going straight to Hive. Bisu was incredibly focused on breaking into the fourth expansion and his own third and fourth were only relatively lightly defended. Trying to out-multi-task Bisu is risky business, but Jaedong let him focus on only one thing.

I choose not to include "hold position bro" and think of them more as 6-6 now.

Also keep in mind, JD always defeated Bisu in a match where it mattered the most like Starleagues and GOM. Not to mention, even though they both have 3 starleague titles to their name, Bisu doesn't have a single OSL title. Bisu is not a bonjwa until he wins an OSL.

I could. This one game does not determine who is the better sc player, it probably will determine the PR though.

Why? His loss that game had nothing to do with hold position, he played dumb, today, he played smart.

Because it barely counted as a game. It was over so fast for almost no real reason -- there was no comparison of skill in that match and it really wasn't worth remembering.

All games are worth remembering.

By your logic, if a player makes a mistake, then automatically the game is a bad game?
i.e. savior vs bisu, savior not noticing the dt killing his drones.

Over simplifying it. The point was it wasn't even a match. Lings in base, woop, game over. After an epic 2-2 that showed how incredibly close the two were, that last game looked like Jaedong was clearly superior when he wasn't. It was a gimme win and as far as I'm concerned, the only reason Jaedong is really a better player is because he can win OSLs.

It's not because Bisu made a mistake -- trust me I am not raving over Bisu for this. It's just not a comparison of skill, and as far as we're comparing who the best player is, it's not worth mentioning. It'd be like if Jaedong went 12hatch and bisu proxied some gates. It wouldn't make Bisu better it's just a stupid early game advantage that decided the game and I wouldn't be not counting it just because jaedong made a mistake.

Games like this one, even with a p favored map, are worth mentioning when we tally up how well they play against each other.
