Baby vs Skyhigh should produce some weird freaking games. Both are highly aggressive young Terrans that sometimes forget that always attacking is bad. And when you put those two together you get the exact opposite of a Canata TvT so I am pretty excited. Looking at 2-0 for Skyhigh as he actually shows some good game management.
Next set should also be entertaining as well since teammate match ups produce great games. Both specialize in this match up and are decently aggressive. 2-0 for July as his super attack style will prove too much to handle.
Well now looking back at what I just wrote, I doubt this will last as long as I want. O well haven't watched gom live in a while.

Kal will destroy July, there is a reason Kal plays PL while July doesnt. Kal plays PL 100% of the time so I assume he is the no1 ranked player in team rankings. Kal's PvZ is pretty good when he wants to. I think Baby is going to upset again and beat skyhigh.

I will be surprised if Kal loses to July. You have to go back to March 8 to find July beating any Protoss who's not absolute garbage at PvZ, and excepting these gimme GOM wins (vs. Spear and BackHo) July is 2-4 overall since then. Yeah, he's only played six KeSPA-sanctioned games in the past three months! STX is sending out any Zerg they can find instead of him - Modesty, Calm, and by.hero have all hit PL R5 lineups while July (the only other Zerg on SouL's roster) has been warming the bench in every match.
Put all this together with his abysmal performance against EffOrt in the only games on his schedule lately (OSL Ro36), and July does not look good against a known top-tier player like Kal. July has shown us that he can pull some tricks out of his sleeve to unexpectedly win PvZs against much more mechanically sound players, but I don't think there is any trick in the book that can save his GOM life against Goojilla.

I haven't been too impressed with Kal's play of late... he's not a top-tier player at the moment.
But it is true that July has been MIA for some time now. Kal definitely has the advantage, but I don't think it's that unlikely that July makes it a close series or wins it.

I'm really looking forward to see Baby play. the other Gom games he's played have been pretty interesting to watch so I'm hopeful he'll pull some crazy shit here as well

The Forbidden Kingdom movie is pretty old. I heard it wasn't that great of a movie unless you like Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Of course the plot is kind of lame, just teaching a white teenager to eventually become a kung fu master or w/e, but the action is pretty good.

The Forbidden Kingdom started out sick but once the dorky white kid becomes a kung fu master within a months training it was all down hill but I agree with deathgod6 the action was pretty good.

Edit: And what the fuck at july not researching burrow in the game, seriously, that couldve saved him 15 min of gameplay against kal's comeback. Savior's ZvP is still way better than july imo. And if JD was playing instead of july he wouldve won the games in 8 min, just by the lings going through he would win, you cant win after a disadvantage vs JD.

Obviously no one expected him to win Ever OSL 08. But having a road of Rock, Backho, and Best for his OSL, not to mention an all Z Ro16 group is not too impressive.
Also, even though he has better chances against Skyhigh than Jaedong or Flash, I still believe he will lose. July lost to pepe last GOM season ffs

Fair point. My argument though would be that both players haven't been performing well at the time.
The all star race battle TvZ was held on March 16, 2009 if I'm not mistaken.
Hwasin at the time was 4-6 in his last 10 TvZs. To be fair the losses were to by.hero, Luxury, Hyvaa, and Yarnc and the wins were against Jaedong (on Byzantium, the same map Ganzi beat Jaedong), Luxury (again on Byzantium; and another game on Andromeda which I will not disregard), and by.hero (in a Bo3 in which Hwasin lost 1-2). Following though Hwasin hasn't been doing too bad TvZ.
Nada on the other hand was 8-2 in his last 10 TvZ at the time. However his last 2 games then were over a month before the all star battle (loss to Effort and win over Kwanro) and his last 2 games before that were almost 4 months before that. In addition, Nada's next TvZ AFTER the all star battle was a 1-2 loss to Falcon in this season's GOM, over a complete month after the all star battle meaning Nada hasn't played an official TvZ game within 1 month of the all star battle therefore it is not such a reliable piece of evidence.
PS. I didn't bother watching the games so I won't talk about their content. I'll leave that to someone else to discuss.

2. I feel there is enough proof in what I have said that supports this.
Watch the allstar games they are great. July v Nada is great, July wins with a sneaky tech switch, then he sauron zergs Hwasin and wins handily.

skyhigh is without doubt the strong strong favorite over July. This isnt pre 2005, and this isnt zvp. July's ZvT is just not world class any more

Nobody ever has an autowin against a legend and master of mind games like July. But I really don't think the All-Star games mean that much - there's a big difference between that event and a match for a league. I'd say July has a 33% chance of taking down Skyhigh in a BO3, and this has nothing to do with CJ bias.
In fact, if it was anyone other than July who had been posting similar results lately (basically nonexistent in proleague, murdered in OSL qualifiers, yeah it was ZvZ but he still just flat out murdered, not in MSL, 9-11 last 20 ZvT, etc.), compared to Skyhigh (14-6 TvZ, admittedly weak opponents except for Jaedong, playing extremely well lately), would you even give them more than a 20% chance to take a BO3?
