it would have been fine to give him a simple warning (which means next time he screws up, even if it would only be worth a warning by itself, it counts as a DQ) and continue the match.

a) Your mouse is not working properly what you do: You type "ppp" b) you are losing, what to do now? "gg" For little effort teams can eliminate these things. Players do that around 30 to 40 times soon they have it memorized.

Yes, they should just practice for all the billion possibilites.. 1) Nuclear just went off, you are blinded.. What do you type? 2) Place crashed and you got hit by a dust and you are blinded.. What do you type? 3) repeat 2, but know that plane part also hit the enter key and you dont know if it hit p key as well.. What and how many do you type? 4) Repeat 1 but know that your keyboard also glitches and sometimes p is not pressed.. What do you type? Do you risk more p presses or no? etc etc... And yes, my proposals are as retarded as DQ.. I agree.. See my point?

Imagine this : if kal had typed "gg" mistakenly after he saw letas "pp" (which is perfectly feasible in high apm tense televised games) then of corse everyone would agree that leta should forfeit the match because otherwise kal's gg would mean he lost. Leta made the first mistake and mislead kal into typing gg so leta should lose. And yes the match should be over because a gg can totally lose your train of thought and is game ending. So we have the situation where Leta is forgiven if kal doesnt type gg and he is not forgiven if kal does type gg. This is ludacrous because then any player would just type gg after any mistake and they would win the match. Thus putting the rules in the players hands instead of Kespas hands. And yeah this may be a very minor mistake but if kespa let it go then they would have to let every other similar situation go or else they are not being fair. Also you cannot put things into the referees discretion because they are human and different referees could potentially make different decisions. One referee could forgive leta in this case and then a few months later another player might not be forgiven for something similar. As for replaying the match, I think thats fine if both players agree. However it should be up to the winning player (Kal in this case) to step in and actually say he wants a rematch.

Leta should have waved, stood up, left the booth (or do whatever it says to do in the rules if your monitor/hardware dies). He shouldnt have started typing things into the keyboard when he cant see

1. say gg 2. say ppp to request a pause In this case it was pretty much clear that Leta wanted to ask for a pause, he didn't pause the game himself, but he typed pp instead of ppp. Every sane individual will agree that the ref's undestoond something is wrong and paused. BUT NO, Kepsa didn't like only 2 p's and DQ'd him. Rules are made for individuals and applied by individuals. I'm not saying they should apply the rules, but the guy didn't bm anyone. If KeSPA ref's continue to be as absurd as they are at the moment, Kepsa should change the typing rules to: 1. politely aknowledge defeat 2. ask for a pause But meh, this sucks for Leta and Hite aswell.
