the 2 greatest pvzers fall on medusa to greats sunken world. Free's mass shuttles was working but he ran dry, an arbitor along side would have helped but he didnt have the resources..Attacking it before its fully up seems to also be an option as I would think having the contain destroyed before completed would leave great extremely vulnerable.
Or just dont send out a toss on medusa vs skt1.

- bisu lost wayyy too many observers to like a single scourge over and over again.
- no shuttle play to delay great -> i think that's the worst thing you can do against a turtle zerg.. trying to break through the front.
- then again, if you're going to break through, do it fast and dont lose obs like an idiot!

In the replay they show how Bisu kept trying to "peck" at the contain with dragoons. But their range just wasn't long enough. Arrrgh....hopefully they make it to an ace match and Bisu can get another chance.

Great sniped his observer, the lurkers will just rape Bisu's army. He wouldve broke the contain early if he didnt lose the obs. I swear if Great does that same build against a superior player like Free or Bisu......

there is an obvious counter - reaver.
the whole point of turtle zerg is that reavers aren't mobile so you will have to carry them around everywhere to break sunk/spore/lurk. with this, it takes the contain right to your face where reavers wouldnt have to walk at all...no one needs to develop a "strategy" to beat this lol

He teched to Hive, he had defilers late game when Free almost broke the contain with his storms.

If it's Hive tech, then Great never went there. He just stood pat with Lair Tech and overran Bisu with units.

Bisu couldve broke that contain just have to micro his observers. Bisu just wasnt ready for that lame Sunken Wall.

Sair reaver requires shuttles for mobility. But breaking out of a contain doesn't require a great degree of reaver mobility. They just need unit protection in the form of goons.

Yea, it would be really interesting to contemplate a Pro-level PvP on Battle Royal.
Frozean's basically winning this game. He took the nat and his third faster than Fantasy and now Fantasy is now doing dropship Shinangans to try to catchup. It's actually getting really intense right now beacuse Fantasy is taking a third and denying Frozean's so this might be a nice comeback.

Best used to play a lot like Savior when Best was good; both of them were pretty awesome timing Gods (especially in PvT and PvP, hence why best was so good at those match ups and not so good at PvZ).

The first attack by Stork was sooo bad. He lost 2 Reavers and killed what? This combined with Stork's much later expansion (don't even mention Best's third base) was a huge advantage, I don't understand how you can call that marginal -.- It's was Best's game for the taking after that 1st attack and he proceeded to take it easily.

Not than the other teams, but than part of the other teams
There are 5 with days a week and 2 matches on each of them you end up with 10 matches ("20 teams" being played a week. Since there are 12 teams they don't get to play 2 matches every week.
Now that week 2 is complete we have 4 teams with 4 matches played, and 8 teams with 3.

I personally like Proleague a tad more then winners league. Let individual stars show off their power in Starleagues. I like the thrill of WL but PL just is supposed to be a team league, and PL shows who has been practicing among as a team more then WL did.

I liked the first two seasons of proleague, but this season there is so many less ace matches and so many more sweeps that it's not as filling. I would feel the same way if Hwaseung Oz took their last two matches 3-0 (not talking about tonight's game).

Oz coach has been absolutely horrid this round as has KTFs.
I think SKT really felt the presence of Boxer this round and Fantasy has finally been able to become the go-to Terran. The beginning of the season was a juggle between Fantasy, Midas, and Canata. Bisu and Best no longer have to carry the burden of SKT so bisu can slump and still not have to carry the team.

Also alot more upsets happen when 1 player trains for 1 matchup on 1 map.
Its pretty lame and imo showcases much less entertaining games.

with this format 4 games are revealed before-hand. more match-up attractions to hype up and easier selling.
winners league relies on team rivalry/story to carry and that has its limits. one of the orignal attractions of proleague was showcasing more matchups that would otherwise not occur in individual leagues

I think Stork should've gone for a hidden 2nd expo right after getting his first. It's risky, but when you think about it pro gamers almost never expect it. It reminds me of that playoff match between Jaedong and Flash. As long as you can bluff your way into making the opponent think you only have 2 bases, he will delay his attack long enough for him to build up a large force, giving you enough time to macro up.
Something sort of similar in principle was Bisu vs. Jangbi GOM finals on Medusa, when Jangbi killed 2 of Bisu's probes with an early zealot, and Bisu immediately put up an expo in his backyard expo. Jangbi never scouted it until it was too late and Bisu crushed him.

He wasn't talking about HTs or Reavers... He was talking about how you really can't afford Sairs+Reavers(or HTs)+Arbiters, all on 2gas.

Still, you can afford arbiters if you don't bother with HTs. I don't know how it would play out though. Sair reaver is the safest bet.
