BBS is a huge gamble too, I'm not saying it's luck that Fantasy won but it's not the kind of situation where people can just BBS Flash every game and win by default. He made a calculated risk, Fantasy made a calculated risk, Fantasy's happened to pay off while Flash's fucked him over. People are just pretending it's 2008 and saying Flash needs to stop 14ccing, which is just ridiculous because its really not that bad an idea to throw in once in a while in TvT.

I fully agree with this. Fantasy knew the chances of him winning by playing standard were low. His cheese was a calculated risk that paid off.

Did you read what I wrote? I implied that if Fantasy played FlaSh straight up he would have lost. That's why he decided to cheese; there was a probability that FlaSh would 14cc and he got lucky.

14cc is far more risky and cheesy than proxy 8 rax in TvT. nothing dies to 8 rax except 14cc, plenty of players have defended 8 rax with standard rax timing, and the 8 rax player is behind. in fact, what's hilarious is if flash played standard, as the better player should do, he would've won not the other way around. its just ironic that you are all pissy at fantasy when it's 100% flash's own fault for losing.

again, to repeat: in TvT, 8 rax is far less risky and cheesy than 14cc.

You're trying to blow smoke when there's nothing there. I'm not arguing with you, I'm stating that Fantasy's decision to go 8 rax was because he knew Flash was the better player.

you are arguing that Fantasy's build was risky cheese while completely ignoring flash's build, which is more risky and stupid. if fantasy had a "low chance" to beat him playing standard, why didn't Flash play standard? why did flash try to take a completely unnecessary risk when he could just play standard and win since fantasy is so much worse than him like you say?

PS the last time they played on colosseum, Fantasy beat Flash. Maybe Flash didn't want to play standard and did a risky 14cc cheese build because that's the only way he would've beaten Fantasy???

As far as the 8 rax vs. the 14cc builds go, for me it is always hard to tell, which one might be cheese and which one is not. That is because Pro players can do really crazy things with builds that seem risky. I know sAviOr depends heavily on his ling micro while he builds up his economy. From what I see, Flash seems to do the same thing with his 14CC build. Nevertheless, I'm wrong to the extent with this view in that Flash should know better than to use a build where he has been foiled many times before, namely with Jaedong. Still, if he went with that build, regardless of his televised matches, it may be that this build is highly effective for him in practice.
