Also I know Stork has been practicing for OSL but Kal flat out dominated the three games he won, including having the inferior position on Medusa, game 2 was a great back and forth game, and game 4 was excellent by Stork (though if the DT got out...).

I've always liked Stork but he just isn't a killer - doesn't have it in him. Take away the meticulous preparation (like for the Best series) and he doesn't have that extra intangible to carry him through a side-series that he should win on paper. It's a testament to Stork's skill that the series still went 5 games. Props to Kal though, as he almost swept the series, and was in no danger of losing any of the games that he won.

So, do we think this loss will affect stork's performance against Fantasy?

PLS more excuses. He himself said that it doesnt even mater if hes in 1 league or 7.. he will practice rly hard. And if he pracced for the bo5 with best he should have been equally prepared for this or even more prepared.

you cant just wing this series like that, besides absolutely nothing can excuse storks performance today, he is like the PvP god right? and he was playing against a toss with under 50% win rate in this MU.

Best owes Kal a few hundred beers. Also, I wouldn't write Stork off based on this series, the gravitas of this match is much less than his OSL final tomorrow, I doubt Stork would've been practicing anything but PvT the last few days...

Still...

FUCK YEAH KAL!

The schedule is really messing up Stork right now. I mean, in a span of a week, he has

OSL Semi Bo5, against P
MSL Ro16 2 games against T
GOM Bo3 against Z
MSL Ro8 Bo5 against P
OSL Finals against T

That is just totally F**ked up.

If Stork had any chance to prepare, I strongly doubt Kal could've taken this series.

Kal's pvp stats are way off his real skill
Stork didn't play terribly, but watch his series against best and tell me that he was playing with the same level of intensity in this match.

thats the demands of a progamer
i mean you have to concentrate on priorities, and obviously stork valued the OSL finals more
lets see if his gamble falls flat or he wins gold...

feces is "фекалии". kal is used as a stronger word most of the time.

Anyone who thinks Stork has gotten over his problems with nerves and choking in big games should take a look at game 5. And this wasn't even another finals (but it was a good preview of what the finals will look like when Fantasy rolls Stork).
whatttt you have no idea what you're talking about
that wasn;t stork choking that was him fucking up the first fight (happens in PvP) and then being on the back foot for the rest of the game

kals reaver just sealed the deal - nerves never entered the equation

Perhaps my wording was too harsh (nerves + choke = exaggeration), but the point is Stork definitely still does not have that extra killer instinct to seal the deal.

I know Kal's a great player but didn't we all just get done talking about how Stork had anointed himself the best PvP ever? And he turns around and loses a PvP, BO5 no less, to a guy who has never been renowned for his PvP. And yeah, the first fight in PvP is a tossup, but that's what players with nerves of steel are all about - they seem to always win the tossups in big games.

I will admit, Kal either got lucky or was very very smart/good with that Reaver in game 5 ... I thought for sure it was going to die but I guess the advantage of having the Shuttle pop out of nowhere from over the cliff was enough to keep it from getting sniped. One way or another, Kal stepped up and made all the big plays in the big game, and Stork really did nothing that was even above mediocre for a pro except maybe his dealing with the manner-Pylon (he still lost a Probe by the way).

So again, maybe it's not a blatant choke like goon range, and Stork wasn't as out of it as he was in the Flash domination, but when push comes to shove, Stork doesn't step up. In my book (you may disagree), not stepping up when you're a superior player is choking, or at least nerves. Like Hot_Bid said, Stork's just another Karl Malone.

Huh? even against bisu he played better than this. Stork was all over bisu with observers and played true to his style. I saw none of that this time around.

If you have a practise for a final and a quarter, it's quite obvious that you will prioritize the final.
Just compare todays games to the ones against Best. Thought, I hope this doesn't affect Stork mentally for the final.
