Free should be able to take down Dongrae however it's a new map and new maps are always a bit tricky. The backdoor way through the neutral building seems like a Terran feature. When Forgg played Iris he made the backdoor along with siegetanks seem almost imba. So it will be interesting to see how it can be utilized TvP.
Savior against Nada could go either way, destination looks reasonably balanced and rather Mutafriendly with the cliff behind the natural. I voted savior mostly due to the fact that i like him more. And partly because he can command the game in the direction he wants whereas nada simply will have to counter.
The deciding part of this group is the matches on the Terran heaven that is Athena. For both free and savoir it would be preferable to have the terrans go at eachother while they can have a fair and balanced game. However if free and savior faces the Terrans on athena my prediction is that both will lose.

Sorry is playing fine, his opening build overpool/gas /expo/early lair .... got super countered 3 rax and he basicly built 6 mutas kept them alive forever, made a few lings, faced a giant unscouted 24~mnm army at his natural with only 4 eggs morphing and 2 sunkens and lived, and basicly pushed into the terran main 2 twices and didn't finish it, He has the game won and is playing super, he is just not zeroing in and ended it, like a jaedong/luxury would be able todo in the situation.
After finally getting his Nat he is facing speed/vullture/sci/tank/rine+medic defence and even those he's on his 4th base hasn't been able to end him.

i think it started out as more of a problem with micro and decision making
savior couldn't pull off his flanks but delayed dongrae's 2nd well
but then decided to push unnecessarily into the main and wasted quite a few lurks making his army smaller than it should have been

Since he can no longer pull off his management style at the highest level, he's trying to change to a more aggressive style, more like July or maybe Jaedong. While I'm sad that he lost, it give me a little bit of hope that he's trying new things, and maybe he can find a new style that suits him.

He's still a very respectable zerg player and could take a game from anyone. He was really close to beating Nada in the final match and if that would have happend... everyone here would've been super euphoric again.

I'm actually very impressed and happy with the result despite being an incredibly huge sAviOr fan.
What I saw in his play was something suprisingly inspired and no way near as dull as it used to be.
His build was also new and interesting, I don't think I've ever seen someone go 2hatch mutas and then switch to lurkers before expoing before, and I can't wait to see where this build could lead. I'm thinking it could possibly be a good counter to almost everything the terran can do.
Even though an advancement would be most satisfying for us maestro fans, I'm actually really excited about what he might do in the future. Who said that a comeback needs to be instant and glamorous? I thought this was the strongest in TvZ I've seen him since Daum, and I hope PL start soon so that we can see if my excitement is unfounded or not.

savior played scared. some psychological issues for sure. the way he microed his mutas so passively and the zerglings too. he could have done so much more with mutas, but he ran away scared. he could have killed the follow up force of mnm with his muta ling, and he would have killed that one firebat. little things like that just show you how he was playing. even when he rushed in with his lurker ling, it was more of an act of desperation, like he was just throwing his hands up in the air and (knowing in the back of his head it probably will not work), leaving everything to chance,,, and being on some level 'ok' with losing. i wish he would regain his confidence and play calmly and remain cool-headed no matter what they throw at him like he would before.

I can't stand watching the final game again, but here's what I thought. The build was not that horrible and should have worked better. You can argue that the agressive all in play shows a lack of confidence, but Savior liked to mix it up with rush play when he was good as well.
The two base hive was just a formality since the game was over by then, he wanted to kill Nada earlier. And he should have, but the execution was just off. Mutas did a poor job when there were plenty of opportunities to do damage, and he just wasted units instead of attacking when the marine force was split. And it looked like the first 4 lurkers were caught off guard and died for nothing? If so, that's a horrible mistake which won the game for Nada right there.
It makes me bitter that Savior seemed to be in control but died to newbie mistakes. If he doesn't even have his nerves left there is no hope

that first game, i just knew he was going to lose because JY didn't scout properly, while Nada saw the early Hive and the expo. I called it gg at around 7:00 when the overlord didn't see the two bunkers. I didn't even bother watching the rematch it was all too upsetting for me.

Compared to his game versus Dongrae, it's like he had an epiphany or something. But his 2 base hive has since proved he needs like 3 or 4 more. But Savior played with confidence. Running into Nada's natural breaking it several times almost won him the game. A move like that would not have been done by a Savior 2-3 months ago. I think that if he stuck with lurk-ling while taking a third gas he would have won as opposed to going 2-base hive.

I never liked Savior when he was at his peak - He was the unstoppable villian, the bad guy who constantly foiled the plans of (my) heroes from achiving fruitition. Watching games where he out-played everyone in a stone-cold manner with such minute control over the entire game that you felt his opponents didn't stand any chance at all from the start was frustrating to say the least. I hated him, and all that his gay 3 hatch and hive shit stood for .
But now, I miss the old Savior. Why? Because I loved to hate him. He was the perfect villian.
Each loss against Savior was like a lament to the death of Starcraft in my mind, and when turned around, victories from any other kind of game felt like lesser victories. Whenever anyone, or even better, one of my own favourites managed to take a game from him, there was hoorraying, fist-pumping and FUCK-YEAHing to such a degrees that nothing else could come close.
As much as Savior's domination felt like a never-ending 'down' period, the 'ups' were comparedly just that much more awesome back then too, no matter how small they were in the big scheme of things - and that's what I miss.
Currently, Starcraft is in a dire lack of a good supervillian. Well, I guess it wouldn't be the same for me personally since the old guard of my favourites aren't really around as real contenders anymore, and I've yet to find someone in the new generation of players that'd inspire me to the point of going "fuck yeah, kid, you're the fucking man".
Flash was on a good way to attain something similar to Savior's status from my own perspective(an utterly boring player to watch, that frustratingly raped everyone with perfection no matter what), but then quickly crumbled into the leagues of normal progamer mortalness.
I guess the nature of SC today, what with the game having been pushed so far and the players keeping on pushing themselves to the utter limit just doesn't lend itself very well for longtime super-dominant players anymore - no one has a limitless supply of energy, after all.
Ah well, I'll keep on waiting.

The final game with Savior vs Nada was good. Not sure why people are complaining. A few more lings and Nada may had lost. If Savior's build was so bad, Nada should be able to finish off Savior a lot earlier. Savior lost all of his units in that allin with lurkers/lings so he really needed defilers after that to stay in the game.
Despite the lost, I trust Savior knows what he is doing. It's not like he didn't practice this build with other top pros.

Anyway he was much better than others.When he was winner of MSL,OSL etc. He was a LEGEND.
