2) he can play whoever he feels like, unless I misread something in the ladder rules?
not sure why everyone feels like calling abuse, bad addition to the thread imo and should prolly be removed. All I see it doing is provide an outlet for people to flame.

I've never called anyone abuser, but I think playing a player that is 3 ranks below you more than 5 times or something in a row is at least not correct. And as far as I know the rules state that you may not play a player below your rank more than 5 times or something! But please don't act like I'm insulting him like crazy.
I just say he should play C/C+ players, because there are already lots of them. But if you feel like I spam i've no problem with removing my post.

Why should he? Many people like to have certain percentage of wins in their game, or they just don't have fun. I don't feel like you spam on purpose, but that you just don't get it.
Or do you really think it is better to reset your account 8 times and have ten of them only to play against the skill level you want to play against (for whatever reason)?
Its a ladder for gods sake, and the system is pretty well set (you win only few points, but can also lose a lot).
He plays whoever he wants, and others play him because they lose and can gain less points and play against better opponent!

I just think iccup has gotten the reputation as "THE PLACE" to be improving, so when you see someone who is leisurely beating people 3 ranks below him, you wonder what the heck he is doing on the ladder, almost like he is wasting his time. However, people still need to enjoy themselves, and if he enjoys playing lower ranks to attain what he wishes to attain, then all the power to him, so long as he is not breaking any severe server rules.
Also, 5 games against someone 3 ranks lower is not as bad as it looks. Im pretty sure the lower ranked player must be enjoying the gaming as well, otherwise he would split after the first loss  .

Exactly. I personally LOVE to play against better ranked opponents, and if B- ers would play me on C- I would be exstatic. So many points to win, so great motivation!

Actually, it's often the lower rank people who keep asking for re. I usually play people one rank below if there's no people responding at my rank. It'd be rude not to accept even if he dropped down another rank after a few games.
And this discussion is so old and silly. He might get one step above his 'real' rank if he keep grinding C- noobs, but even then it's barely worth it even if he is a rankwhore and I don't see any problem unless they are giving him freewins.
After B it becomes almost impossible to do that anyway.

there are almost no high rank people on because of the new patch. some people just want to play bw and dont care about ranks

I have an account that is soley for the fun of playing, since random bnet is just worseless I'm C with a record like 40/25 and half of my games are against D+.... If I don't feel like searching for a game I just host and whoever joins I start ..... Why is that abuse... btw I did this once to hit B ( I don't consider it my ladder high, but I played only C-/C users to get rank up) so that I could play against much better players.... think about it guys.... If its the place to improve .... some people want to test there game against better competition..... thats how I felt at the time anyway, although I don't consider it my true ladder peak ... Oh and once I got to B I went about 30% win ratio back to C+ =).... fun games thou.
