Anyone can quote me on that whenever they want because I consider it an objective fact based on largely the online but also the offline results from the past two years. Soulkey is just standing in his way and stealing his spotlight. No other player has managed to match Soulkey as well as SnOw has, except Light coming close to it. Most competition happens online, so I think we should put more focua on online performance to determine our power rankings and such.
Look at Barry Sanders in the NFL. Arguably best running back ever, but no championships. Not even conference win iirc.

I'll concede on any point, but ASL = HoF. That is my nonnegotiable benchmark. There is no other accomplishment as revered as winning a GF. True, some of you look down on Shuttle, but Stork and Bisu are not far off being totally game breaking in the past. Shuttle still has that charisma. People like Flash, like it or not, make it a stepping stone to return to the limelight. Please don't ask me to post the game in order to roll back to when Flash was thinking about joining this season, but got coldfeet afterwards. That is the biggest accomplishment of Shuttle this season. He is such a big talker, should you lose to him, the fault rests entirely on yourself that you put your name on the line.

To be fair to him all the Ro16 players did predict that Beat would win the finals. The predictions were shown during the finals.
But what mtcn can't comprehend, or maybe he's just trolling, is that predictions don't mean they think Best > Soulkey. It probably means they, like many fans, want to see Best win his first title and are tired of Soulkey winning everything.

No, what you have to understand is where the line of predictions end and where convictions begin. All players have to have conviction to win. That is what I call shellshock. The lower rank your opponent that you got beat, the harder your self conviction will take a hit. Let's not ruin this season's ASL by breaking down the moments, but we both know players do give up, but SK don't. That comes from not losing to a lower tier player. If you lose, you start questioning things, your mind does that for you. That is emotional intelligence, it works slower, but it sets a timeline.
PS: this happened in reverse, too. In a past asl a landslide guess for a player got reverse sweeped in the actual games.
Sometimes people achieve tremendous feats. Just when they don't feel guilt due to, like, losing when they should be winning. If they know they are the underdog and still play, they zone out and actually enter a zone like Jaedong sometimes did against Flash(I'm not saying he is underdog, they just look like Jaedong when they play without fear). That is a huge relief if they don't see the act of winning on the horizon. EQ still takes time to adapt but they skip the selfdoubt and put a game so far off, the second time they cannot repeat it due to self reflection.

snow is currently #1 protoss, but not even close to #1 protoss ever, that discussion is basically between Nal_rA/Bisu/JangBi, and i take Bisu.
shuttle is a legend for the protoss race, because he did what other protoss of much more higher skill couldnt. So once a champ, always a champ. But that doesnt make him a hall of famer, i mean, he is fighting vs Bisu,Stork, Nal_rA, Reach, JangBi, IntoTheRain, GARIMTO, Grrrr...
Shuttle = AnyTime = free = KaL , none of em could compete for hall of fame compared to the others... You could say that Shuttle won a SL, but that particular SL was kinda lol level compared to the ones that earlier protoss champions won...
