What the hell was going on in the studio today??? Are Light and Bisu okay?

G1 with the weird marine rush vs Tyson (not even m&ms...), completely falling apart.

G2 with Bisu just straight up forgetting storm for half the game.

I mean props to the top seeds for making the games... unexpected, but seriously hope they dont try and coast thru again.

Game is effing hard and obviously shit happens, including being nervous, but dude, Light in that g1 doing every possible thing to not win. Like at every moment saying what's the worst decision I can make and then just doing it. Like, Nic Cage in Leaving Las Vegas levels of self-destruction. And then Tyson still not being able to close it out. That's gotta be a contender for the ASL Razzies LMAO. I would love to have seen this group with TY and MC in it instead.

I think from now on, too, unless you're Mini and are going to just bite your opponent in half, can we please just make a dark archon. Just get one dude. Even if they don't go mutas, it's an aoe stun on a clump of hydras. I'm actually waiting for someone to make 2. That's the season we get a Protoss champion. The guy who has 2 Dark Archons in his army.

I hope these guys can show some better stuff next time. Mostly it's just kinda funny. But after the frist three groups this feels like the last hour of an ecstasy trip, where a cold beer and a bong rip is the only thing keeping you from walking into oncoming traffic.

Despite all Bisu’s mistakes, I actually thought his micro was really good in all the games. If he can get control of his game management, he can have a better run in the ro16.

I do agree, in the first game, his zealot micro was on point - forced only lings from killer for good part of the early game keeping him from droning up and was moving his army up to kill the 3rd base when he had 2 HTs with full energy but forgot storm

I thought Group A-C were all pretty great at large but this group was seriously underwhelming. The opening two games both felt like two people trying to lose. Tyson somehow managed to throw his gigantic leads in both of his games. Bisu and Light both looked super shaky in terms of decision making and game plan. Before ASL started, I joked that Bisu was probably secretly practicing off stream because he wasn't streaming. Well, that's confirmed to be wrong now. I can't remember seeing Bisu being in this bad of a shape ever, especially his multitasking capabilities. His micro looked good but that's about it. Idk, the only one in this group who played kinda as I was expecting was Killer.

I feel like Bisu has said "I was sick" at least 2 more times before in a winner interview early on in a tournament.
I also feel like we hear this "I was sick" almost every ASL or something, so maybe I'm wrong about Bisu.

People can get sick and underperform, but often "I was sick" comes across as like they're trying to save face after blunders and also to have an excuse ready for when they do drop out on the next round. We don't have loser interviews or we might hear "I was sick" much more often? lol

He said he was sick every time he took a break from streaming. He may have some actual health problem, but I think he was just tired with streaming and playing in general. Or maybe being mentally tired counts as sick as well.
