Yeaaa TvZ final is perfect. No ZvZ like last time, and no PvP like we could have gotten this time. People should cheer more for not getting a mirror final!

I really liked the matches. lot of small details, reads, attempts at interpreting situations and seeing them puzzle together solutions in the moment. was some great chess being played. Most of the SSL has been good. But none of the matches lived up to Speed's TvP games. those were most hype.

There were some good games here and there, yes. But not as many as in other seasons. And the playoffs especially felt quite underwhelming.

Even Snow said that he cheesed because he thought he'd lose a standard game vs Barracks. Then he said he'd rather play SK than Light due to the Tesagi maps 🙃.
I guess it's just bad map selection? feels like every season has Terran maps tho. eloboard has it slightly T > P.
at least we should get a good finals. Sharp has a chance due to Tesagi, and certainly has been looking very sharp lately.

Happy that Sharp made it, im really rooting for him a lot.. Such a humble and emotional force. Always liked his playstyle when he got into his "zone".

double DTs was an interesting decision, wish it could have panned out to be more back and forth instead of just getting completely shut down and countered.

I'm very glad Sharp has finally found success in the midst of some unfortunate developments in his personal life - he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is scheduled for surgery after the season ends, and then concurrently his wife had some issues with her pregnancy
No matter what you think about his gameplay, Sharp's character as a good human being is unquestioned by the pros, and he is well-known as one of the nicest people in the scene (and very nice to foreigners as well)
That being said, I think it's near impossible he takes more than 1 game against Soulkey, but I will definitely rooting for a miracle ending

That last game was very, very entertaining. I know it’s not the most popular map, but it provides such interesting play. That multitask and dropship play by Sharp was out of this world.

That sucks. Now I'm only rooting for him harder than before.
It also has to be difficult to practice under such circumstances

Sharp is legitimately underrated. I think he's got a good shot here. He's smart enough in prepared match situations to come out ahead here. He just beat hero for God sakes. SoulKey is clearly the favorite though

Lmao. There are really only a few dudes who get a high ranking consecutively.
(Even as a hater) I'm honestly surprised at how many votes Rain got on LB. There must be quite some silent Rain fanboys on TL. Because if we check the SSL tier ranking thread by RJB it tells a different story.
Rain got nice results this season, but his games weren't impressive imho.
Ro24 2-1 advance
Ro16 2-0 advance (almost as many votes as Mini!)
Ro8 4-0 advance (unreal dif after just a 2-0)
Ro4 1-4 exit (Similar dif, so I assume people who voted for Rain, voted again after the 4-0)

What a shit show of a season this has been so far - SSL. I can't even force myself to watch the last game. I do respect Rain for being so bald and taking huge risks in the tournament with the builds - this is a trait of a REAL champion, having confidence to make decisions like that, but obviously it can not work for the majority of time.
From what i've seen Rain did not take this SSL seriously. When he said things like ''i am not sure what is my skill level now is'' it seemed like he was not taking this season seriously after all, despite talking about practicing SC and quitting LoL.
