Meanwhile Soulkey was sweating his ass off trying to stay alive lol.
Edit: after watching it again he did CC first all 3 times lol. That's why. I tend to skip the first few minutes because "no way he would go CC first 3 in a row" i think he only does the build when its confirmed unpunished cc first. when its not he goes sk terran something.

If Flash's build is so imba, why haven't other Terrans copied it yet?

Because Flash. And from what we know this far: it still relies on getting away with 14cc. Other none-14cc varitions will need to kill drones, force early (speed)lings and/or hold off a 3rd expansion for a considerable amount of time.

Flash also lost a game to Hero in that exact fashion.

+ Show Spoiler +But hilariously, today it was Soulkey who wasted Shuttle's valiant effort. How the turntables lmao
Ahhahaha, and turns out his teammates Soulkey Mini and Rush who share 4 ASL titles and 9 finals between them, couldn't muster a single win today and let Shuttle hard carry the team

To people who know their stuff, why is Flash in so few Proleagues, I was wondering?

So sad that not more care is taken with those kids to make sure that doesn’t happen. Esports have a loooooong way to go when it comes to protecting players from injuries. This is entirely preventable; ending on the surgeon table because of a movement as light as moving a mouse is kind of tragic.

That's the problem with RSI injuries in situations where you're expected to grind hard to excel. Doing a repetitive motion long enough, consistently enough, causes issues even if the individual motion is simple and light. So many people get carpal tunnel just doing normal jobs with basic desk work, let alone something as comparatively strenuous on the nerves as playing Brood War at an elite level for insane hours. Hell, I screwed up my cubital tunnel from processing shoes in retail due to poor staffing levels and garbage management.

I play violin in a symphony orchestra for a living, which is kind of the pinnacle of doing a repetitive task with your body that can lead to all kind of injuries, and I can assure you the only reason not everyone doing this job has to stop after ten years is that we as an industry have developed a huge body of knowledge on how to approach the instrument and the extremely repetitive nature of the movement without straining ourselves. Most players stay relatively injury free until they retire at 67.
I can absolutely guarantee you that with the right tools and knowledge no one would be getting injured moving a computer mouse, whether at the office or playing games competitively. But the things you read about the life and work hygiene at the team houses those guys grew up in makes it a miracle they can still move at all. I was told never to play more than an hour without a break, to always warm up, to always look for comfort and ease and to stop at the first sign of pain etc when i was 12 or 13, and later was sent to all kind of physical and psychophysical specialists, from physios to Alexander Technique. I don’t think anyone took care of Flash or Jaedong that way, and that’s kind of tragic.

Yep, and I can tell you that even after I had surgery to relieve my ulnar nerve it has never been the same again and is more easily irritated.

Actually I don't think wrist injury is the reason he's in so few Proleagues (if that is true). From my observation whenever he streams AND there is a Proleague, he plays (unless it is K League which is not for him). He also plays the China sponsored best of series quite often as well.
Right now they're having Mini Bisu vs Flash Soulkey for example.

Yeah when they start to butcher you, there is no way back to have it like before. I got an injury at my hand from playing at some point and the hand surgeon i saw told me that we would try literally anything before he would touch me with a scalpel, which is what all non specialists had immediately advocated.
