After the jangbi osl wins, I thought the game is dead, yet, here we are - watching the best playing and still complaining. Whoever dislikes those games so much, I guess he's free to show us what high quality games really means. I'd like to see someone try and qualify for the ASL, l sincerely hope he'll do better than the players from group D, I'm rooting. Same here, I genuinely felt so dejected and gave up after those Jangbi wins (I didn't watch the second one live even as i was so sad about the mixed Proleague). Yet here we are in 2021 and things feel much better. Still cannot forgive Blizzard for their manhandling of their BW scene; only to subsequently abandon SC2 to some extent as well. Could have had 10 more years of PL. But at least we got Remastered eventually, a big gain. But what about what we lost from 2011/2012? The A-team and B-teams just before SC2 were STACKED with great players. Particularly Samsung if i recall correctly. I know some moved on. but a lot were definitely lost. Saying this, the games were of poor quality today - but OSL/MSL always had stinkers now and then. But without PL and proper team training you can really tell the difference. A lack of quality A-level players is still an issue as well. A new Terran generation for example was always going to be difficult. Imagine a new Leta type entrance of a player to shake things up. We only complain because we love the game and we know what the highest level is.

I still have high hope for the last 2 groups since we will see Action, who is always interesting to watch; a top shape Stork (especially in pvz with 2 z in his group); a guy who will want to step up from last season in Light, the bag of builds himself; and sOrry who is now ready to prove that hes right there at the top with the other usual suspects. Still hyped..

maybe other amateurs now have the feeling they could make it and will take up the challenge. also, it's impressive how dominant someone like Soma is. Makes me appreciate his play even more. players like 815 and nOOB put in the work. maybe they're not as strong as tier 1&2, but they deserved to advance. have no problem with them or most other participants in RO16. JYJ has been steady, great to see him more on the big stage. Soulkey and Snow so experienced. Maybe free and Barracks are the only ones who kind of lucked out a bit, but looking forward to prove me wrong. Terrible day for Mong and some others, but guys can bounce back. Change of the guard, I like it. Taking a lot of positives from this ASL so far.

Barracks vs Hyun and free vs Best for example. Mong and Ssak had bad days imo. Of course they sealed those wins and it's not their fault, so I get your point. That's why I'm looking forward to their play in RO16.

Still hyped.. Do you think he's top shape PvZ right now? What I saw on stream wasn't reassuring. But so far you seem to have a good grasp on the current shape of many players, so I'm inclined to believe you.
