I feel the other way around, happy Zero made it, but damn was he close to being eliminated... It's kinda Zero style though, remember that ASL a season or 2-3 ago when he was super lucky to advance winning a game vs Mini (I think?) that he should've lost and another game in the same group (think it was vs a terran) he was way behind and pulled it through...

Damn he had me doubting he was gonna win that last set too... Happy he won though, Zero is awesome.

Incredible burrow micro from ZerO, Mong did like 5% irradiate damage to drones, even after so many tries ZerO was like "fuck off, you're not going to damage my eco with your cheap trick".

Really good series between Zero and Mini but that 3rd game totally delivered! ZerO played flawlessly but I felt like Mini was something different, he gave his 100% and showed he came to win. It's no easy feat to defeat last 2 ASL champion.

Mong is good terran but he really needs to learn how to deal damage: he really failed at both matches doing so. If anyone watched Mong long he used to have a habit to get a ninja CC especially on Curciut Breakers to chew extra minerals before it gets discovered so it's satisfying to see Shuttle used his strat against him by taking a secret nexus on FS. But still Shuttle managed to go on so my point about Mong stands.

That 17 hero DT kill by Shuttle was MVP. ZerO winning the series was expected but Shutle was so close. Sad ending.

ultimate stream map seems pretty protoss favored at least vs Z. high up natural is tough to bust and the narrow pathways are great for storming and sneaking zealots.

Amazing day 1 holy... players are really standing up to Queen now. PvZs were varied and interesting (i.e. no immediate loss to hydra bust... well the last game had stuff to make up for it), good day for the viewers.

Loving the DT usage now, so deadly. Of course, always love to see a winning scout in ASL, there needs to be a bingo for that xD.

Just watched Mini vs Zero and that series was great. Mini is on fire, holy crap. No idea how he does it but in PvZ he often makes it look like he is losing and falling apart but still ends up being dangerous...

Just speculating, but I think it was a combination of 1. upgrade advantage 2. getting around queen's contain rather than fighting to break it. Although queen was able to kill a ludicrous number of templar, mini never took an engagement that lost the core of his army, and his zealot runbys did heavy heavy damage. His massive upgrades also allowed him to trade very very well in every fight even without fantastic storms.

looked mostly to me like queen misunderstood the map and based his plan around mostly shoving through to a natural / 3rd area that had a really tight choke, and never was able to quite punish mini, until mini was able to survive and amass enough to break out, send zealot troopers, and do significant damage.
