Uff... that was so hard to watch. Have not watched BW in a while and randomly turned in for the the Brain/Soulkey game 3 (great game btw) and the casting of midgame and endgame was basically just 10-15 minutes of scream laughing ("AAHAHAHHAHAHHA THIS IS SO FUNNY"). Turned off after the game because that shit is just unbearable.

AGREE 100 % !
I prefer to watch korean stream even if I don't undestand a single word!

And people wonder why noone likes the bw community on tl edit: to be fair, people dislike the sc2 one as well because it approaches the bw one now

Yeah, don't know why ppl making big impact out of it, like they listen to Tastosis for the first time. Times are pretty rough nowadays so bit of fooling around is always nice.

Great games! Really a treat. And I've enjoyed the casting a lot this ASL. Light and fun is good for me. I think they balance it well.

There is a difference between saying that the casting today was a bit too unfocused on the games/too much internal jokes and saying that everything they did basically sucked.
That is why pure negativity is not helpful and rub alot of people that DO enjoy them, the wrong way. Tastosis does a lot of things very well. If you can't see anything funny or charming about them, then there might be some language/cultural barrier (fine), maybe you just don't get their humour (fine), maybe you are feeding off that satifsfying feeling of knowing that you are "better" than the majority (not so fine, but can happen to the best) or maybe you are just simply a sour grape (fine, but who cares?)

Great games. Loving the round of 16 so far. Yay for soma! Also, Brain has the #1 place in my heart with his play style. So fun to watch, hope he continues to do well

I also find that there was a bit too much banter in this particular cast but it wasnt bad overall. I hope they tend back to a bit more in depth game analysis (Cadenzie for example does a great job here). In the end, no one compares to Sayle anyway
On the game: I cant shake the feeling that Soulkey played a bit arrogantly and presumptuously which cost him the games in the end.

It's quite ironic that people are turned off by Tastosis going overboard when the korean casters have been going overboard for the past 20 years. Anyways, I personally don't care much. I listen to Tastosis for the banter not any game analysis. Obviously they have gotten quite a bit better since they originally came back to cast BW again but yeah, there are people with a lot more knowledge. As long as the observer is good, I can watch the game just fine and enjoy the banter at the same time.

I dont know Korean, so I dont know what they crazy over, but it always seems to me they go overboard on the game, not on their own inside jokes. I also don't know if all games are like that or just the one I randonly turned into. It wasnt that funny and they acted like the Big Bang Theory crowd if it was on shrooms.

Yea, I agree, I was also the one to complain about it last group and I mean, it's fine they make some jokes, but it happens regularly they kinda lose track of the game and don't really know what's going on anymore because they're too busy making jokes. Personally not a fan of that, but they are still the best commentators out there and I'd rather have them commentating than anyone else (at least from the other commentators we've had over the years).
Doubt there will be new talent anymore either, but it's just a bit disappointing and disrespectful to the players and the game sometimes that they are too busy with their own stuff (which most of the time isn't even that funny (in my opinion)) to actually pay attention to the game and miss out on important stuff because of that (and later wondering if a certain player is doing something, while the obs has already shown they were or were not).
Anyway, there's not too many ppl watching and it def won't get better (when it comes to views), so yea, there's really no incentive for anyone to still get into BW commentating and when they do actually pay attention and commentate I do think they usually do a great job. Just would be nice sometimes if they could take their job a little more seriously, but can't really blame them too much I suppose.

Maybe it's time for me to set up the ENG2 stream for ASL again....

Artosis is great in games involving T. Tasteless is really out of form, but now that he's playing again (?) he might improve on the P matchups. Neither of them know shit about zerg and they don't seem to care to learn either, but I'll take 8/9 if Tasteless puts more time into the game like I hope he is.

I love Tastosis's banter but it's too much when all the important late game stuff is happening on screen and there's no casting of the game, just loud laughter and banter. I don't remember them ever doing it this much until this and the previous ro16 groups.

Wow, people are whining nearly as much as they do when Tastosis don't cast. Anyway, I thought the games and banter were on point today. Brain continued to impress, hope to see him in future seasons.

I've not seen a bad game on Inner Coven yet. Hope this map continues to be featured in future tournaments!

I doubt it. Love the map and all of the new mechanics that it makes people consider, but I think there's definite imbalance, and at least right now, it's a forced style that I don't think many people want to play. People still too comfortable with Circuit Breaker type maps. Reminds me of Troy in a way. Troy was a weird ass map that always resulted in crazy games.

I'm glad the neutral assimilator feature was brought back with Block Chain. And similarly although I'm not sure how long Inner Coven will last as an active competition map, I hope it inspires others to come.
