If there are disagreements over anything going on with the event, discuss it,don't muck it up with memes and copypasta, this is a final warning we will start handing out bans from here on out. |

Is it okay if I stream some to my page twitch.tv/maniac1122 ? Yes you can attend as a spectator for sure! One thing you need to know is that at least initially, there is no guarantee you will get a computer, as we will be reserving ~85% of the venue for the people who completed pre-sign-up and the other computers may be filled with walk-in regular customers at first. As the tournament goes on, I am sure some people will be giving up their computer spots, at which point you can hop on. Yes, you are allowed to stream to your page, the venue said that it is allowed and we don't have a problem with you obsing and streaming on the side. However, do note that there will be an official stream at the same time.

Damn, looking at the turnout and the support makes me really wish I could be there... perhaps I will try to drop by later in the day after my earlier commitments, or hope for another one in the near-ish future!

I think if you're in the area and want to just drop by to see the event / spectate / whatever, it would be cool -- goes for anyone really. I'd say if it starts at 3PM, it'll probably go on for ~5 hours? So people will be around for a while...

So, for spectators/hanging out, any time on Saturday after 3 PM is good, basically.

I haven't played BW in over a decade (pretty much around the time Boxer left for military service), but some BW videos have popped into my YT recommendations for a few weeks now and Flushing is in my backyard and I'd love to drop in.
Anything I should know before hand?

No worries! Love to play if something opens up, but would just love to watch some live BW. Oh, and I figure I'd bring my camera to take a few snaps for documentation purposes if that's alright?

Oh, and I figure I'd bring my camera to take a few snaps for documentation purposes if that's alright? I'm sure that everyone who attends will have an opportunity to play at some point during the day, I just can't promise that it will be at 3 PM or in the main tournament.
That's fine, as long as you get people's permission before taking photos of them and such. Given that, I think it would be cool having someone taking photos during the event I think and maybe uploading them here? I know there were other people who were interested in doing so, as well as people who are not attending who wanted to see some photos as well.

Oh.. right - the prizepool seems really good, too GL HF, my dudes.
Also - please make a lot of videos from the event. That would be much appreciated.

There will be a stream! If you mean videos of the players/venue, we don't have anything planned along those lines and while there seem to be a few people interested in taking photos, I can't speak for them or what they will do (except my request that they ask consent).

Stream seems good enough couple vids of the playing hall + players would be great but I will understand if it will not happen.

Thank you pebble for the bump! It's been quiet around here but I do have a small update. Tomorrow Overtime and I are heading to the venue again to set up streaming, shared rep folder, shared map folder, etc. as well as sealing the deal on the price. What I am aiming for (and what the owner and I discussed) is a weighted average pay scale. What this means is, no matter which computer you are seated at, we will all be paying the same amount - a discounted average. In other words, instead of one person paying 6 dollars per hour, another 2 per hour, another 4 per hour, we will all pay 3 per hour (which equals to 7 hours 40 minutes of play time for a membership, which is a little over our expected run time).
Final info on that is gonna be posted this weekend.
