Some of the people that are on it signed up via Facebook, and thus with their real names, (there is a TL NYC Facebook group) so I will not be making that list public out of respect for their privacy. Until then the guy who is taking the time and effort to organize and coordinate this thing can do whatever he wants. It's easy for all the people who aren't investing time and labor to make this happen to run their mouths.

Thats ridiculous. Tournament is one thing, but barring from community meetup because of personal ego issue is just ridiculous, especially when said organizer is claiming to be "adult" about it.

I have nothing at all against Ty2 but I support the primary TO's choice (I agree that no person, regardless of community popularity, should be allowed to take advantage of another's work. I empathize with Jealous on this point and support his decision entirely) and I look forward to having some fun with the rest of the attendees. I am in agreement that people are allowed to criticize as they see fit. However, I do hope that those who are losing sleep over this soon find solace. Good times shall occur regardless. Looking forward to meeting those that are coming.

From what I gather it doesn't seem to have anything to do with ego. It has everything to do with OP doing what he thinks his necessary to protect the fruits of his labor. That's as adult as it gets. Let me tell you something about the adult world. Actions have consequences. TY2 himself said that he made multiple mistakes. If jealous comes to the conclusion that it is not worth dealing with someone who has obviously ruined his endeavors before, and someone he doesn't trust, then the smart adult thing to do would be to take precautions to protect his work and leave it at that. The only thing thats childish in here is all crying and complaining being done about a adult who is trying to protect his work. Thinking someone is entitled to an adults work just because of a high status in the community is childish Just think of it like Blizzard banning life from sc2 for messing with blizzards work

Because people who signed up on Facebook were not required to provide their battle.net names, because I know them personally. Just about every person who you would know on TL, you can find posting in this thread here. Overall, I don't think I understand why there is a need for the attendees list to be public considering ~75% of the attendees have already publicly signed up here. Once the tournament is underway, we will have a bracket with everyone's aliases publicly available. This will then be imported into Liquipedia.

The organizer's decision is firm and nothing that you say will change that. So please stop derailing this thread with your criticism. It is not welcome here.
