If I were to try and get sponsors for iRk players (if they qualify) for this tournament and would give them the link to the EU qualifier they would prolly laugh at me.
Actually the only thing that matters is viewership. It could be called 'PUCK YOUR MOM SUPER CUP', but if Ninja was casting it, they would sponsor immediately. And they would laugh at you even if it was 'WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP' because best case scenario there will be 1000 viewers on the English stream. And I don't believe in the best case scenario.
I think Rus_Brain is just tired of trying to look serious because it doesn't change literally anything.
What an awesome tournament! This will be the biggest foreigner SC event since remastered came out. Thank you very much, Rus_Brain! I hope Draco hears of this and comes out of his retirement... :-)

I somewhat agree. Both for the entertainment but also to draw Korean viewers. However, someone else than Larva would be preferable. I've heard that Rus_Brain arranged his participation for another lan event and a few days before the event Larva demanded money to show up and he had to be canceled leaving the event losing money on plane tickets that couldn't be canceled at such short notice. But the idea of seeing eonzerg take on say, someone like JaeDong...
