Don’t follow too much brood war but watching some replays of this tournament got me even more interested. Happy to see artosis play competitively and show good games.
Anyone know if there will be another one of these? I hope so

Anyone know if there will be another one of these? I hope so same. i think the only barrier would be how long it takes to raise the prize pool. not sure how long it took this time around. would be nice to see something like this each year, though.

RUS_Brain confirmed (if I remember correctly) I think before that there would be another one next year if we hit the donation goal and we did I think :D

this was an awesome tournament. watched 2 days straight. even my recent eye surgery could not stop me!
rapid improved tremendously. i really enjoyed his casting throught out the tournament with artosis' remarks. good job team usa.
bonyth was a beast. i watched his streams regularly this year. i wasnt surprised that he won. terror was also one of my favourites so it was a joy to watch the final.
eon performed poorly. he has not been playing well lately so his elemination was not surprising to me but i want to see him perform like 6-7 months ago. dewalt was also a disappointment but trutacz outclassed him so we can say that dewalt did not do so bad, truetacz just was too good for him.
i would also like to congrutulate koget who i think played a very nice tournament.
my best regards to all of you, especially to rus-brain who had a part in organizing this awesome tournament. very well done gentlemen. very well done.
edit: by the way. although i expected more from artosis', hawk's win against bony was a joy to watch. it was a very nice game.

The tips I can give at this moment: - Increased possibilities to qualify, - Increased value of a spot (fewer spots, harder to achieve), - More condensed skill level of the non-Korean world.
Bo3 Groups may also be "conditionally confirmed".

Yay I’m happy to hear that. I’ll be putting in for the prize pool once I’m able to! Loved the tournament

This tournament had the biggest foreigner prize pool by far since the last WCG but the travel costs still made up most of the costs of the cup, lol.

Great tourney, makes me really glad that i live in Moscow. Hope the next one will be done here as well.
Financial report Damn, its really cool that you've made it publicly available. Really gives you a feel of the scale of expenses for such tourney. Almost ~$3k just in allowance! This one surprised me the most, i didnt think cash allowance was even a thing at all.
- Increased value of a spot (fewer spots, harder to achieve), Aww, this is too bad. I loved that so many people were brought together by the event and was hoping that their number could actually be increased next year, perhaps by cutting the allowance or spreading the prize pool more evenly.
Surely, those who truly love the game would still be happy to visit even if they had to pull some cash of their own. I imagine its the prestige and the ability to hang out and play against other top foreign pros that attracts people to compete in the tourney, not the cash itself.

Koget confirmed he will reinvest all the net proceeds into the next tournament prize pool. Generous 👍

Sounds great nonetheless. This kind of thing (tournament) is much needed in the BW scene atm, so thank You for all the support. You're already a legend in my opinion.
Cheers!

ro16 bo3 double elimination + ro8 through finals bo5 SE would be great. Less players, yes but Closer in skill, so maybe the tournament would be even better
Prize pool was spread perfectly, imo.

Congratulations to Bonyth, Master and Winner of Corrupted Cup#1

This was an amazing event for not only the players, but the rest of the community to watch - thank you Rus_Brain and team for organizing!
One suggestion I'd like to share is to have something along the lines of the final LAN event being reduced to maybe 8 or so players (could do the RO24/RO16 online), which should help to cut costs and expenses. But not only that, it could also really help in regards to the production quality by casting all the matches with post-game interviews of some sort. That way, the final 8 can be easier to follow and you can build better hype surrounding each match, rather than having multiple streams concurrently casting different games. Before the matches, you can do something similar to BSL's production with pre-game stats and a general profile of some sort and whatnot. That could definitely create for a much more hype experience for the viewers, although the downside is a smaller LAN gathering might not be as much fun.
Whichever direction Rus decides to go, I'm sure the event will be great, but just wanted to throw in my two cents. Grats again to Bonyth for winning!
