It's probably going start at 9:00 Eastern, and last 2-3 hours, I think that was their schedule for South/Atlantic. But the stupid Gamon thing isn't working for me. So I'm going to have to play this at work lol. If I get caught bad things will happen to me. :p

But it's worth a couple of games.

I don't know how the qualifier will work exactly, but isn't it a ladder? Won't this cause people to dodge the known players? It seems like it would be better to have pre-assigned matches. This would make the process easier anyway. At least it seems that way to me.

Agree, and many other players probably agree aswell, but WCG admist. are not known for their intelligence.

I spoke with one of the admins @ WCGZone and they are being incredibly nice (at least for me). They said if you are not able to get GamOn working it could be because of firewalls, so reduce or even remove them for this.

That being said the 2-3 hours on designated nights is fucking horrible. Its bad enough qualified players have to pay their way to the offline regionals (please be in washington or MAYBE california) but now I cannot make it to 2 of the nights (sat/sun) and the times we play are 3 days of finals for me and 2 days of dead week (studying my ass off). Seems like I have an exscuse each year for not being a part of WCG but this is kind of making it easy for me to exscuse myself. Regardless I have a smurf already to go (think it has my real name in the account rofl) and I have actually some what practiced the maps (excluding PA rofl) so I will be in good shape to give it a hard go

I anticipate being able to play the full time thurs-friday and mond-wed?

I just kinda hope I get the ladder figured out, last time GamOn was hard as fuck for me to figure out.

yeah tell me about it, why dont they just have it up all day? i cant play at ALL the first three days because of work -_-

I have a few questions that I assume others must have. Does the game type have to be that "WCG Saturn" thing, and do we need to get wcgZone to tag our ID's on west with the WCG icon. The wcgzone.com site only addresses their league which is only an East server thing so i'm not sure how to get it on west.

-The certified/authorized map pack? Too bad WCG doesn't actually put the maps for download on their site....
-Any verified info on the actual time windows for the games that i'm sure we'd all like to know about.

Ya I just registered @ WCGZone.com and I activated the account and all that shit ... and I don't see a WCG icon on West server ...

also for the GameOn launcher, what do we do for that? How do you get it?? How does the playing / game reporting system work ???

Works just like any other anti hack program.
You login to GameOn, and host a game using the wcg game type.

If you don't login, and don't use the wcg game type, your match won't count.

Please note that the WCG 2007 USA Starcraft Online Qualifier (for North & Pacific Region) will begin on Thursday June 7th at 9PM Pacific Time. Each day, we will have 3 hours of league until June 13th 11:59PM.

In order to participate, you must have a WCGZONE account associated with the e-mail address that you received this at, and it must be confirmed/activated. Confirmed/Activated means that it is possible for you to access members area of the site. (For example: Able to create new topic in Forum)

For games to count as a WCG game, the game must be started through GamOn (which can be downloaded by clicking the top-right link) client. Details on how to use GamOn as well as how to play Starcraft through GamOn can be found by clicking help/manual once you are logged in.
