I think Shine's mechanics are indeed a bit below the other players, so I don't think he should be playing macro. I mean, I guess if he wants to be the best he can be he needs to practise macro and get to a point where you never know which game will be the one where he pulls a fast one on you, but if he's sitting down to play an important game today, he should be using innovative cheese for sure :3

Best looked very solid and a serious contender in the KSL when he beat Mind again and again in PvT match up he just seemed so dominant and in control. But now we see him falter to Last, not to take away from Last he is in great form too and much stronger than mind. But I don't see the same dominance from Best even from a month ago. Although Best's PvT is to be feared with almost unparalleled macro, his play style is a bit rigid, although in KSL against Mind he showed he had mastery in PvT except against Flash, but now not so much... Macro players besides Flash and now Last generally have that style and stick with it and don't adapt as well to different situations than players who don't specialize in macro. Flash shows us that he can play all types of games but when he macros and pumps out his army he is a beast. Best shows us he can pump out like a beast but doesn't compete in other areas like Flash and now Last. I also think Mini did well in this group. He showed he can remain calm and play well especially with defending that 2 factory push from Last. Last is not only solid right now but in a build order position where he should've lost normally, it was a good game sense to get 3 gateways up right after expanding because he lacked scouting intel to play safe, especially with an early expo lead. That being said, I just don't see Mini as championship material either. Despite his improvements in managing his emotions I think he may still have that lingering problem. Like that lady interviewer mentioned Mini shows his strong emotions and mentally when he loses, not that it's bad to, but I think that indicates that he needs to master his emotions before being a champion. If he gets riled up or upset too easily and let that affect his game play or mind games even if his mechanics are better he will lose. We saw this when he went up against Snow in the last ASL season 5. Mini was mechanically doing better but lost do to poor decisions because of his mentality. So I hope Mini can prove me wrong and show that he can continue to play like he has and still beat the best of the best.
