And the drills in the game vs Light were spot-on! I didn't notice, but I guess he had a probe hidden at the 3 o'clock, so he had vision?

While I do think light's tvz felt bad, I think it's mostly inexperience and I doubt he practiced it hard. Shuttle vs Sky first game was good, last game was ok. Shine vs Sky was shine playing well, especially with those lings from the back. Shuttle v light was light reacting to Shuttle's nexus first and it almost worked. The probe drill was really effective but it was close regardless. Sure, the games today could've been heavy macro game but 2 brand new weird maps added, including an island map. If you're expecting perfect play, nope, not gonna happen lol.

I sort of expected some intense early-mid stuff in most games just because of the weird new maps. Plus maybe pros are willing to play with pre-made cheeses on those maps, gambling against losing their most practiced timings and build orders for Sparkle and Transistor. And honestly, I don't think last game was so weird, just not eye-candy.
