Afreeca Starleague Season 4: Daegu Qualifiers

The Afreeca Starleague [ASL] Season 4 is about to begin! This weekend is the qualifying round, held in the cities of Seoul, Daegu (a short drive outside of Seoul), and Busan. The qualifiers will run from September 2 to September 4, 2017.

Currently, four players are seeded from last season: (T)

Flash,

Shine,

Bisu, and

Soulkey. They do not need to qualify. Everyone else will have to pass through the gauntlet for a shot at winning the single biggest 1st-place prize in Brood War history. The main season starts up on September 10th, 2017.

24 players in total will qualify for Afreeca Starleague Season 4.
Qualifiers will be played offline in PC Bangs on:
- Saturday, September 2 in Seoul (12 spots for ASL4)
- Sunday, September 3 in Daegu (6 spots for ASL4)
- Monday, September 4 in Busan (6 spots for ASL4)
Single-elimination Bracket
All rounds are best-of-3.
Bracket winners advance to the ASL S4 Round of 24

Horang2 has the same name as an unknown amateur player, so "Horang2" showed up in two groups last season before this was corrected). This is just basic trawling through Challonge and hoping for the best.

My OBS crashed 4 times today which is highly unusual because I've done over 8 hours of stream in past and never crashed once so I will have to investigate the cause. Also mid-way into my stream, I figured out the new way to restream off VLC which is a lot smoother but beginning parts did show some stream lags.

Also laundry folding stream hype.

Unlike with the Seoul qualifiers we don't know of any entrants yet, but you can expect a lot of players who failed to make it through in Seoul show up for this (and/or Busan). Additionally, (P)

Movie should be showing up for one or both of the next qualifiers since he lives right in the area.

If K.H.J. or someone else makes a preliminary list I'll add it. Otherwise we're at the mercy of speculation until the Challonge brackets are released.

If information on the Information from Korea thread is accurate Stork will have quite a challenging bracket to have to fight through.

Unfortunately, I'll be at work all this evening, so I won't get home to cast until around 1200 KST. If there are still games going on, I'll be happy to load up the stream and start the cast though!

Also, huge shoutout to Aylear and all the work he's put into making this information readily available. Truly a hero!

Supposedly there's no main stream any more so there's nothing for you to cast, unless you wanted to squint at blurry phone streams from random players. =) We're back to refreshing brackets and going "DAE who's on X stream right now?"

I think Stork has a reasonable chance to make it out, though Killer has been back in SC longer than he has and has taken time off, maybe to refine his game. We'll see, but those two are my favorites to make it out.

Aw, there isn't an official Korean stream as of right now to re-cast based on what I see on thread. But Korean commentators on the Korean official stream said they'll be back to cast sometime today so hopes up. If there is, I'll be more than happy to do a live English cast off Korean stream like last night.

Last night was pretty chill and fun!~

Yeah I'm confused as well. Didn't they stop the stream before all groups were finished because they needed to go to Daegu or sth. like that? Yet everyone says: no cast. Not sure what to believe
