Wow, that price pool... This season is going to be nuts, i hope Larva can make it further than ro24 this time, he deserves it.

It's pretty interesting to compare the prize distribution with something like GSL, which gives ₩40,000,000 for first place but is ₩170,000,000 in total. I think it's better to not be so top heavy.

₩60,000,000 is the largest prize money for first place of any Brood War tournament in history. Unless I am mistaken, whoever wins this will end up as the all time leader of prize money earned after the end of professional Brood War.
This tournament will go down in history just for that fact alone. May the best player win.

I say this every time but the preliminaries are going to be fucking insane and stacked as fuck. Especially now they have an additional qualifier in Daegu, that means 4 less from Seoul and Busan will be able to qualify from those qualifiers. Not sure how many people are willing to travel to Daegu.

Yep, overall prize pool, while still very large, is still dwarfed by the ~₩120,000,000 of the KT-KTF Premier Leagues of 2003/2004 (where most of the prizes came from winnings and bonuses).

I expected last weekend of this month, still not really a delay in my books. Carry on.

No big deal here boys, from here on out the prize pools will just keep increasing
At least that's what I hope.
And is this really the biggest prize pool and for first ever? What about this:

No it isn't the biggest prizepool ever ( 2003 KT KTF Premier League 2004 KT KTF Premier League]
But what Letmelose said was: Never was the prize higher for finishing first place. This tournament gives 60,000,000₩ your linked one 'only' ₩50,000,000

Oh, the dollar amounts are different, I think it has to do with the fluctuation in the exchange rates then. In terms of KRW, it is the biggest for first place, but not in USD.

Lol, this isn't Sc2, this is koreans game. How you can expect foreigners when they struggle to beat old ajae pros.
