Teams will rotate Round Robin style each week. This means each team will play each other over the course of 5 weeks. Each win per player counts as 1 point. After 5 weeks, the Amateur TeamLeague's organization will evaluate the position of the league a determine how to move forward. | ||

A second round seems absolutely unreasonable at this point. If people are interested, we can do play-offs. Those would need to be the third weekend of next year the earliest, since I can imagine that a lot of players will not be able to play in the following few weeks. As far as the participating teams in the potential play-offs are concerned, it would be the best if we the captains could provide and update list of their teams results (at least the ones missing from liquipedia). Feel free to claim w/o for any opponents not showing up, pp till after christmas would be pointless. I can only assume that sexy gladiators will neither make the cut nor have any interest to play in play-offs. At least on bunny slayers nearly everybody has a TL id, so if they actually make the top4 and somebody feels like submitting their lineups they could play in the play-offs. However, currently it looks like there are only 4 teams available for the play-offs anyway. Updated results would help with the seeding. I would suggest a single elimination bracket with the final 4 teams with 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. Of course, we can also just end the league now. Winning team being the one with the most points. | ||

Unless there are any objections, I would suggest the following for the play-offs: - BO7 Single Elimination bracket - Based on the regular season table: 1st vs 4th teams and 2nd vs 3rd teams - Deadline for the semi-final line-ups: Sunday, Jan 10 10:59pm GMT (GMT+00:00) - Deadline for the semi-final games: Sunday, Jan 17 10:59pm GMT (GMT+00:00) - Each team vetoes one map from the mappool - Deadline for the final (and optionally 3rd place match) line-ups: Sunday, Jan 24 10:59pm GMT (GMT+00:00) - Deadline for the final (and optionally 3rd place match) games: Sunday, Jan 31 10:59pm GMT (GMT+00:00) Qualified teams: The current Standings with updated Week 5 (2 w/o's and the known to me results from sb vs wemadec) can be seen on liquipedia: wiki.teamliquid.net I am strongly inclined to award w/o for every unplayed game of Sexy Gladiators. I would not like to completely DQ them and give them 0-6 in all games, since it feels unfair to their players, who bothered to schedule their games, to their opponents that beat them, and because it would have close to zero impact on the standings (only WeMadeC would gain 1 more point compared to the other 4 teams).*** The standings with w/o's against Sexy Gladiators (ONLY for the UNPLAYED games) would look like this: 1 Club Starcraft..............21 (3 games left) 2 DeSPA .......................18 (3 games left) 3 Stealth Bunnies...........14 (3 games left) 4 WeMadeC...................12 (9 games left) 5 Bunny SlayerS.............9 (4 games left) 6 Sexy Gladiators...........5 Club Starcraft are either 1st or 2nd. They would be ahead of WeMadeC in a tiebreaker given equal Points. They can only be tied with DeSPA. DeSPA can be tied for 1st or end up 2nd or 3rd. SB can only be 3rd or 4th. WeMadeC can be anywhere between 2nd and 5th. Bunny SlayerS can be either 4th or 5th. If Bunny SlayerS win the 4 unaccounted games vs WeMadeC and WeMadeC loses at least 4/5 of their other unacounted games, Bunny SlayerS would end up 4th. This however seems highly unlikely for a lot of reasons. Here it gets difficult to decide how to handle the seedings. I fear that no matter how it is done it will end up slightly unfair for one team or another. This is why I would ask the captains of all teams to submit in the thread any results that may have been missed (see liquipedia page) or claim w/o's wherever they feel appropriate. Please, explain shortly the situation if you claim w/o. If the captains feel that a draw is appropriate, feel free to suggest it. A bo7 seems appropriate, since it will not eliminate anybody's possibility to participate as opposed to a bo5 format. In my opinion, there are three options for the 7th Slot: - Additional C+ Slot - Additional C Slot - Ace Match If the Ace Match option is chosen, each team could potenially field one player twice. The lineups would need to be submitted with the ace player already chosen and the ace match would need to be played during the same week as the other matches, meaning that it may end up being played before all other matches have concluded. Additional slots for lower level players (C- and below) would make the games either too unfair or result in w/o in my opinion. So here is a poll with the Options: Poll: 7th slot for the play-offs additional C+ slot (2) additional C slot (3) ace match (as explained above) (9) 14 total votes Your vote: 7th slot for the play-offs (Vote): additional C+ slot Final words: Feel free to PM me with any suggestions or if you disagree with anything above. It is unlikely, but I may be unable to come on TL until January 4th. edit: ***If Sexy Gladiators are DQ'ed completely WeMadeC would gain 1 more point against the other teams and DeSPA will lose 1 point compared to the other teams. This would lock Club Starcraft in first place and also mean that Bunny SlayerS are locked in 5th unless WeMadeC loses all their remaining games. Please comment on whether all of Sexy Gladiators' matches should be counted as 0-6 for the play-off seedings! | ||
