Whats the reason they changed the matches in the last moment and instead of kwanro, bisu played bale?
Clearly Bale prepared for Leta and for zvt not zvp, is it because Bisu has to win in the first round or what?

I imagine Bale would have survived longer had he not pursued hydras so aggressively at the expense of his economy... hunkered down with a sunkens/spores with hydras instead

Bisu vs Kwanro coming up. I'm interested in seeing a PvZ with both of them but I don't see Bisu losing with all the games he has been playing on FS on his stream.

Fun to see that some things haven't changed since I got into SC a hundred years ago; Kwanro is still aggressive as hell, and you really can't cut any corners against him.

Leta should have done anyhing to take out the natural expansion at the top left corner. He sieged to take out the lurker defending it. Why? Tanks have longer rage, he could have simply just killed them in no time - even faster than siege mode because the splash damage does not effect borrowed lurkers. Then after he had killed the lurkers, then he could have moved closer to the hatchery and killed it.
In the meantime he should have taken the 6 o'clock base. I never understood why players are so conservative in taking expansions. Sure it costs some money, but how is you opponent going to attack them all? That is what Kwanro thought and he won because of it

Tanks often run into lurker-range if you let them attack unsieged, and Leta has other stuff to do, too. Sieging up kills them safely if you're busy elsewhere and it doesn't waste that much time, also you expect other units to come help the lurkers. It's situational tho, mb not sieging would have been right here.
Kwanro actually would have a short way to attack that 6 o'clock... with lurk/ling and swarm. On that lvl you have to be very careful taking expansions, especially as Terran.
Kwanro was quite ahead after his 2hatch, thus he could take 2 bases easily.
Leta should have attacked top left tho, i agree, but earlier, with his first push, there was no nydus there.
And burrowed lurkers/units do take damage from splash.

leta was not truly ready for this tourney anyway, he only came back last month and needed more practice. his rine control and overall mechanics was just slow. (and most of the time i see his stream hes trying too hard to do wraiths every game then practice standard)

GG, kwanro couldve just won simply if he attacked bisu instead of the cannon at his natural. Bisu had 1 cannon and nothing to block the lings from runing by, and you know how 6 or 8 lings do against probes.

Fair points, but remember the expansions in the top left were hidden expansions. He did not discover them before the natural one was finished. If Leta had used a bit more time in positioning his tanks he could have used one scan and no siege and it would have taken care of the lurkers in no time and he would have killed of the expansion afterwards. I,m not saying it's easy however. Thanks for response

Sort of disappointed Kwanro (whose name is misspelled in the original post as Kwarno) got eliminated (Leta, too, but in his case it wasn't unexpected), however it's nice to see newer blood move up.

I could clearly tell that you were nervous, confusing the names of players, units and buildings, fumbling quite a bit on them, the number of times you interchanged the names during the losers' game in particular made me cringe but I get it, its your first time casting live in a studio, outside that you did good, you really showed your knowledge of progaming history quite well through out the cast, like when you brought up the 14CC vs 4pool game of leta, which I enjoyed. there were a couple of instances where you were talking over Amazingxkcd like during the winner's game, you guys haven't cocasted before right?
all in all not bad, there were also issues with sound, you being too loud and sound a bit like you were casting with a walkie talkie and xkcd not being loud enough, but thats for afreeca and not you, but I'd like it if you passed that on to them.

I hate to say this but GTR raped my ears with that mic. At AfreecaTV Studio Opening Ceremony everything was ok when he casted with pretty Sojung (glad she's back, I will rather better stare at her in full screen than those k-pop girls ) but when actual games started it was disaster. I don't know what causes it (Skype or other chat program) but please try to fix it. Apart from this issue awesome commenting with XKCD.
