Fengzi v SOSO on Heartbreak Ridge. Fengzi proves why he's considered one of the best Chinese players ever with impeccable army movement, cutting off reinforcements, surrounding SOSO's army, and doing what the zerg does best, swarming the shit out of his opponent.
pretty good play by the T; thoroughly scouted the hidden expo, pretty good valkryie micro (you can tell since they didn't derp and shot together rather than leapfrog), defended smartly and wasn't greedy (had double bunker), on top of his macro
part of it is starcue's greediness. hidden expo, not using hydra den to block runby (not sure why it was placed at nat but not trying to be hidden), less stellar break attempts
while we've been waiting for starcue to gg the terran has shot his own units twice (a vulture shot on vultures earlier; a goliath shot on science vessel)
Fengzi nat down, but literally nothing at Pusan main anymore. Such an amazing game~ Pusan only mining at his nat also.
Corsair and reaver fleet attack Fengzi's only mining base! Bunch of hydra come but lot of Dwebs push them back Reavers now free to snipe hatchery and drone, down!!! However there seem to be another base for Fengzi going up on 5.

Btw. what happened to the recommended games votes? I was using them many years ago when I missed matches.
Stopped using the polls because they usually get something like 5 votes, so they weren't really useful :/
OP should at least post his opinions about which game to watch. Even such rudimentary suggestion should be enough to separate watch-worthy games from mediocre ones.

I did though.
Complete blindspot O_O Sorry, must have checked the result and tabbed away.

Wow, Sonic saying that if Fengzi goes to the round of 16, it might be worth inviting him (and paying for the plane ticket) so that he can attend the next round in person, since the China is fairly close...

I would not mind seeing Fengzi play without the lag. Still, it would be expensive having him fly out, then getting him a place to stay, then getting him a ticket to get back home.

Ya, return flight might cost like $400, but if you would be flying with something more lowcost, it could be much cheaper. (Not so sure, I am just using Star Alliance myself for all my flights.)

Buuut I think he also said that his (presumably financial) situation is much better than it was during the 8th SSL, and that if he can't find a sponsor, it will just be Sinbal Farm. Not 100% on this, though.
i mean i wouldn't be worried, obviously another will happen, but the growth upwards is slowing a bit then. and that's fine, i just hope it starts soon regardless of whose involved

and what about that longhaired rockstar guy that said that he can sponsor a starleague if there will still be interest in it ;P that would be pretty damn cool..
Is Fengzi better than Sziky? Sziky is often touted as the top foreigner, but the show matches against Koreans are often quite onesided. On the other hand Fengzi is actually standing his ground against them.

Fengzi is probably better than sziky.
I think the general trend is still Korea > China > rest of the world

I would not mind watching a show match between those two, though. For science!
Crap, snipealot switched to another channel. Was gonna do some rudimentary translation, since I assume Sonic will read out the translated interview on the stream or something. Oh well...

Lol, speak of the devil...
Even if it's ZvZ with lag, I'd really like to see you guys play, as the top two foreigners and whatnot.
But what about SRT? Didn't you get an invitation for one yet? Should we start lobbying for you? ㅋㅋㅋ

It was supposed to be the opposite of the SC2 is dieing mentality. As I posted earlier I was happy we got so many pages in the LR. So many in fact we surpasses a regular season LR thread of the two teams that eventually made it to the PL finals. It's exciting to see BW doing so awesome this year.

I was also confused by your link, but I guessed that you might be talking about the number of pages.
I for one hadn't been this excited about a set of BW matches in a very long time (not that I watch anything else). I was honestly surprised at the strength of my own response, and at how much I was rooting for Fengzi, simply because a non-Korean performing well in the Korean scene hasn't happened in over 10 years.
Between this and Best playing, I'm really looking forward to this SRT!

Issue is, when Fengzi makes it to the live rounds its easier to bring him over from China than Sziky from hungary :>

BUt i would love to see him play in SRT too!
only thing is, what are Sziky's chance to make the live rounds? I agree though, costs from hungray to Korea is more expensive than from China.
For now here is Fengzi vs Movie in a showmatch in case you are curious how good the chineese zerg is against one of the best protoss players around. I was bored and decided to cast this.
