I know I was late so it's my fault, but I got caught up on something unexpected prior to logging on.
I believe I have a good track record as far as showing up on match times go. This was the first offense in which I was late to any scheduled (or a rescheduled) match. I have only taken one walkover in DRTL, and this was because my opponent was impossible to contact (msj member). In addition, I've also offered all my opponents a chance to reschedule. Like I said, please reconsider? Well, that's up to ghrur to decide now.

And I see nothing in the rules to do with acting non ruthlessly or any crap like that. I can take a WO if he doesnt ask for a PP 12 hours before the match, its my discretion. Unless you intend to operate this league as per your fiat, oh lord my King, im taking the WO.

I don't see the problem with signing up for the league if you are able to play at the official time. DRTL and DRIT probably have close to a 50% rate of rescheduling. There is a problem if your forced to take walk overs half the time. Yeah but it's dumb to imply that if you can't reschedule, you shouldn't sign up for the league. I admit oftentimes real life stuff happens that you can't control, but the people who request to reschedule are more at fault than the people who are unable to meet the demand. Signing up means you are committing to play at the time listed, so I don't see why the person who doesn't show up at said time without notice is more innocent (not accusing Beach, because like I said, real life stuff is totally understandable) than the person who does. Complaining Ghrur won't reschedule is one thing, that's his choice/life schedule/whatever, but saying he shouldn't have signed up isn't fair when he showed up at the agreed time. The amount of time prior or after a games set time is numbered in like, 150+ hours, the amount of time in which the game is pre-set to, specifically, is one hour on one day. Needless to say it should be very easy to accommodate someone in all the time allotted [which is like a week and a half, realistically].

They had an agreed upon time which ImAtTheBeach failed to show up at the correct time.
Regardless, the decision on whether or not ghrur wants to reschedule is with ghrur.

If ghrur is willing to reschedule a game with ImAtTheBeach, it'll have to be played by Monday, July 22nd 16:59 GMT (+00:00), as that is when all the other Ro16 games should be done with, and Ro8 games can begin.

I found asking that hypocritical when before in drtl you were justifying your decision to take a walkover because you had no other time even for a single game after, besides for the scheduled time next week.

But I wasnt going to make time in a busy schedule for someone like that.

Gosh, walkover in the bracket stage is so lame....
|
Also my internet/ability to connect to iccup has been distressingly poor lately so if it comes to the point where I literally cannot join games, I may need to forfeit.

Monday is probably the better day. 8pm EDT works, thought 9 would be slightly more preferable.

Alright let's aim for 9 EDT then.

aeghrur man why don't you just message him on Skype if you are free at any time until that cut-off point (22nd?)? If it can't be at a set time, just let him know when you're free to warm up and play, and if he's online I'm sure he'll be down... I live with the kid and I can vouch that he had no way of being online on time due to a family situation, it's not just him being lazy or disrespectful.
He has Skype on his phone and he is pretty much free any time in the next few days, so why not just leave it as a possibility as opposed to straight denying him? I feel like the series has the potential to be one of the best in DRIT (I see you both as title contenders), it'd be a shame for you guys to not play and for you to advance on a technicality.

To be honest, I feel like well over half the the tournament strikes me as "guys who could win it all".
