Long awaited by )v(, East players, TheBGH.com, our beautiful man of a sponsor, and the BW community in general, we gladly bring the second edition of Test Your Might BGH Tournament. This step it's cruicial for you to not get any spyware!
Wait for the program to be installed.
3) The launcher
When you first open Minilauncher you have to update it. It will automatically request this, so you just just have to click yes (Y) and it will start updating.
Next thing you wanna do is get the servers: Go to the "Tool"-tab. Here you'll see three buttons at the bottom. These are the three major Korean servers: Brainclan, Fish and Mapzine. In ISL2 you're gonna be playing on the Fish server - so click that button!
Now go the the "Launcher"-tab. This should look fairly familiar to you. You can select the plugins you want. The ones you MUST have checked are: [MINI] for 1.16.1 (Anti hack) Chaosplugin for 1.16.1 (Auto replay etc.) LatencyChanger for 1.16.1 (Allows you to play in low latency games)
Changes the latency on BNet-games which end on #LL or #L1 ... #L5 #LL sets latency to 2 (like on Lan) #L1 ... #L5 sets latency to the supplied number For LAN-games use the settings. On LAN the settings have to be the same or all players Only works if ALL players in the game have LatencyChanger, else you will get disconnects
Group 2: T1: Nizzy, Yan, SJ.Napoleon T2: LordOfDabu, GoShox, ima T3: InferNaL, 2pacalypse-, Germany, lacrimosa. T4: sas.LuMiX, sas.sklime, Nb.Oops

* All players are subject to administrative discretion.
* Team captains must be assigned before the tournament begins to create an efficient communicate method as 1 of 16 teams with the referees.
* All registrations must be done through GoroHands@gmail.com.
* All replays by the winning team, both wins and losses, must be submitted to GoroHands@gmail.com directly after the finishing of a set, otherwise the next set's players will be instructed to not play yet.
* All games must be played on Blizzard's Big Game Hunters.
* All games must be played on Fish server with Mini or ChaosLauncher.
* Koreans are only allowed in this tournament if they are known in the foreign community (Refer to rule 1).
* Bracket altering will only occur if two teams have a verified lag conflict.
* Backstabbing an ally will result in immediate disqualification and the option for them to replace you in a rematch.
* WalkOvers will occur every 15 minutes where no opponent exists or is responding, OR whenever the next natural opponent that decides the opposition has finished their series, with a 15 minute contingency applied. This means: Besides the regular W.O timer, if two teams finish their series and need their next opponent, the team waiting on another no-show or afk team will receive a series walkover after 15 minutes. Example: Team 1 is waiting on Team 2. Team 3 and Team 4 finish their series. After 15 minutes, Team 1 will advance as the winner of that particular series.
Hacklebeast will be casting this tournament on Sunday, December 16th beginning at 17CET. The following Sunday, December 23rd, Sir Hacklebeast will cast the Day 2 games beginning at 21CET.

Nice... this is sick , excited to see the matchups, the graphics are also amazing, the Zealot killing raiden fatality is just... so good. Thanks for this!
I remember watching Sayle's casts of the last ones lol. awesome to see round 2 of this tourney. i'm pretty noob, but if anyone needs 1 more for their team PM me. I'd love to participate.
I will definitely discuss with the SBWI during Brood Bar tomorrow to see how many are interested. I imagine I can trick a couple of players into this after a couple of beers trollolloll
can we see a list of teams? I mean, if it's all good BGH, 1v1 and 2v2 players it's not really worth signing up for my team. We are just a "for fun" team. Or is this only >C- or something?
and pucca. Go learn polish or live with it that people will not always speak your language the way they do in your town. That was unnecessary.

The teams that have signed up are primarily good players. You should sign up for the sheer fun of it, as 3vs3 BGH talent doesn't correlate with 1vs1 talent.
My team captain is temp banned from TL, so let me post here our squad:
Team name: Glow BGH Team
Team Manager: GLow'mca64
Team Captain on the Battlefield: GLow'WandS aka The Pucca's Heart Stealer Team Player: GLow'moxie[wok] Team Player: GLow'Radley aka Mad SCientist Terran Team Player (Reserve): GLow'Arronax
So get ready to be hunted!
_____ Edit: On account of sickness mca64 had to refuse playing in team. He became our Manager. Canadian player moxie[wok] replaced him as team player.
If I post my team and they dont show up is there still a chance I could play in this? Like last minute team switching..I reeeaally wanna play in this and since ima east BGH player all that time shouldnt go to waste!

YUP, unfortunately its me, my ally and two of his allies which i dont know their usernames, could you put us in anyway?? Thanks (make a special case or w/e)
As sponsor, I think you should be allowed to join any team you want and go 4v3.
Hmmm. I'm really curious about how well the well known 1v1 players will do because BGH is played very differently. Although they will rape lategame if they don't prepare for this tournament they are just going to die to the openings.
Hey guys, so I d/led the program from OP and as it finished downloading, my windows defender popped up and alerted that there is a trojan virus within the program. I can't install it because it automatically deletes the program..
Th tour is not over yet. The games that were played last week will be casted next sunday at 17:00 cet, and the games that will be played this week will be casted the following sunday at 21:00.

Day 2 brackets have been added where a clear format explanation of fill in the blanks for the rest of the tournament exists. Paired with that is the explanation of prize breakdown.
Day 1 results have also been added. If you are going to watch the cast, don't spoil yourself. (I suggest this option)
Yes, it's complete bullshit that an entire team decided to flame the referee for 2 hours straight. BGH players, BGH tournament you say? Then the BGH players should have been flaming each other, and that's it.

OK I AM mad now, even though I don't take part in this argument. I challenge all LRM) players and people relative to LRM to Grudge Match KOTH bo5 on BGH map. With special regards to Surfer4Life as first opponent i choose lrm)noone. Than Game comes up, because many people have something to him for various reasons. At the end, im going to take care of your A ranks players, just to shut everyone's mouth up. To make this more dramatic, we are going to place some bet on it. If you somehow win with me, than Surfer4Life and his mafia's mobs will spare your life. If not, then you should suppose what is going to happen.

Someone please explain to me the problem? It's clearly stated in the rules, and two straight hours of BMing is more than moderately absurd.
By what precedent/rule/concept is it not perfectly okay to ban them (assuming they did indeed act this way)? This isn't someone calling someone a noob or a faggot or whatever; its 2 HOURS of straight bm.
EDIT: Not to mention the entire underlying concept here is pretty hilarious. Noone is one of the most level-headed, rational people I've dealt with and this premise that he somehow did this to give LRM) a free pass further into the tournament is beyond comical.

Were you there in the channel? Trust me, entire team decided to flame the referee for 2 hours straight. is broadly an exaggeration. I want to make 2 points clear.
1. Mad[WinneR] (me) did not take part in any of the bm that the admin was accusing the team. 2. I question the validity of the claim that there were 2 HOURS of straight bm toward the referee. Much of the shit talk were actually directed to the player and not the referee as far as I could see.

No, I was indeed not in the channel, which is why I put the "if they did act this way thing in there". We are kinda getting only one side of the story, and it would be nice to know exactly what it was that transpired. While it's a possibility noone may have over-reacted, I'd stake my life on the fact that it wasn't motivated whatsoever by a desire to screw the bgh team over and get LRM further in the tournament.

I was on channel and there was silent. First was ban, dont know for what exactly then 2 hours flame has begun. I guess they wrote something bm to players from Ceo's team, after their WB final bo3. And bannin for that just before final game vs LRM team is pathetic, especially where admins are from the same team - LRM. When i was bm in YSL Ninazerg just wrote "I know that playing StarCraft can be frustrating, but do not let this happen again. Thank you." She didnt ban me, but warned...
btw this guy got really pissed after gettin ban and started some funny, offensive trash talk. Just like the old days on netrcraft

first of all don't listen to mca64 because he is well known polish troll who search only attention, we don't treat him seriously and you should do the same here o.o
secondly A)Fallen(Templa showed his great manner on channel calling LRM)nOoNe all the time "pussy", "girl" and more stupid words that i can't remember now - how admin can behave after seeing it for 2 hours ? he comes to make tourney for us, sit there for 5-6 hours for free and some idiot is calling him like that for 2 HOURS ? that dude should get ban at his face for year, maybe then he will grow up
disqualify was 100% right and that team can thanks to that kid A)Fallen(Templa (btw. he made that video at youtube ? man you need to see with some doctor, srsly)

It's quite amusing watchin how lrm folks are tryig to cover this up with lies, lies and more lies. Are you seriously trying to fool these people by claiming you ONLY remember *pussy* and *girl* (which never was even directed to the referee in the first place , not to mention *girl* was never used as an insult .. wtf are you talkin about) out of a 2hour straight BM talk which you personally witnessed ? Ridiculous.
We have been playin our games vs ceo, buzzoff and ngo. Right after when we won the 1st game, leading 1-0, we complained about the massive lag that has gotten worse from game to game and hostest a regular game (without lan lat) . While sittin in the game lobby we get messaged by the opponent team : you guys are disqualified . Thats when the *pussy* and bmtalk (used maybe 3times) began , since the opponent team pathetically continuesly asked the referee to ban us . The big sensitivity issues of the referee were no big help in this case , he didn't want to host the tour which he clearly stated and let his frustration out on the teams ( none of the teams has been okay with their decision except ceo's who were about to get pwned ) . This provides perfect illustration of what happens when u give a little man a little power. He goes nuts. gg lrm . sinking to the lowest for 25$ , bunch of wheelchair losers After all it was hilarious to watch lrm trick their way to #3 by losing all their games and banning teams as they please. I guess they really needed those 25$ . Hope u have a nice christmas with it^^
"which never was even directed to the referee in the first place , not to mention *girl* was never used as an insult .. wtf are you talkin about" hahahaha when we finished our games vs Radley's team i was sitting on channel for ~30 minutes and seen word 'pussy' wroten by you directly to LRM)nOoNe for about 10+ times, you can easly count possible amount of pussies you have thrown at nOoNe during this 2 hours you are lucky that my sc crushed when i wanted to make one screenshot (because your flame was sooo funny that i wanted to save it for generation)
It's funny how taking w.o by ceO's team turned to HUGE CONSPIRACY OF PASSING TO THE NEXT ROUND BY LRM) TEAM :DD
btw. thank you Templa for giving us 25$, these christmas will be epic!
but now you can go and play your dolls, maybe it will learn you manners
Seriously PiKe should have no word here, because he is suppose to be not objective. We need someone who is not part of any side. Also PiKe argued with mca64 yesterday, so he is also overreacting now. Mca is sometimes troll, but not quite a bit in this topic.
I don't understand why does he keep looking @ the table, I am expecting a rock bottom smash onto it or something... If the worst thing this guy is going to do is sniff a doll's ass, I don't think LRM has anything to worry about.
Although this kind of situation was bound to happen...
the insults toward the admin definitely had started before surfer's team won the first game against ceo's team. but it's part of the community i guess, so all bgh players were fine with it. but apparently not the admin
Take this for what it is, but I would just like to make a few points regarding the banning of the team. This is a tournament. Players here come to compete at a high level. Nobody is happy when they see a team who doesn't deserve it, win or lose. It's especially upsetting to see a team get disqualified due to some issue that happened with a referee OUTSIDE of the game. Disqualifying a team because they cheated is completely just. Disqualifying a team because they are putting other players in physical danger is completely just. However, none of these was the case.
The reason for the banning was due to some players on the team talking trash to the referee or some other players from an opposing team. If it was for the former, the disqualifying of the team is completely unjust. No ref or admin should put their ego above and before the integrity of the tournament. People playing and watching this tournament want competition and they want people who win or lose to earn and deserve it. When someone decides to disqualify a team out of personal reasons, thats when the integrity of the tournament goes out the door. It makes you wonder if there was an ulterior motive and you start thinking of corruption. As a ref or admin you have to be OBJECTIVE. Any ref or admin who decides to disqualify a team for personal reasons or because someone is talking trash to them is doing it on the basis of SUBJECTIVITY. So even if this was the case, it's still the wrong move and puts the integrity of the tourney in jeopardy.
What could have the ref done? He could of done what normal refs do in sports games. You simply give them a warning at first. If they don't stop, you give them a technical. In this case, a technical can be a small penalty of some sort. This usually gets the team to stop whatever they are doing. But did the ref/admin do any of this? No, the ref just outright disqualified a team without even giving them a warning or talking it over with them. Nevermind the act of disqualifying, but the act of disqualifying in this manner is completely unjust. Any ref who bans without a warning or technical is one that is doing it solely on the basis of his ego and his personal emotions.
If the team got disqualified for talking trash to an opposing team, this would also be an unjust reason for disqualifying. This is a competition. In any competition ever known to man, there has always been some form of trash talking. It comes with the territory. Talking trash doesnt necessarily mean you want to physically harm the other person, it just means you are competitive and you are competing mentally with the other team as well as physically. Since this tourney is happening online, there is no way another player can physically harm another. Any trash talk is simply trash talk in its most innocent and competitive form. For the ref to not understand this, is truly inacceptable. To disqualify for trash talking destroys the integrity of the tourney. For a subjective ref to yield all this power is also unacceptable. There should be a committee of refs that decide on the best action to take, not ONE person. If it's all based on one person, this person can easily make decisions that are ego or selfish based.
My advice for the host or sponsor of the next BGH tournament is to ban the referee in question and find someone else who can remain objective and not put his ego above this tourney. Also, if a referee is also a player in the tourney, don't you think it's possible for this person to make decisions that give his team the advantage? To the tourney sponsor, next time find someone else who can do a better job of officiating the game on the merits of the game and not something outside of the game. Have more than one referee who makes the final decision. Never give one person so much power, he will abuse it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Above all, protect the integrity of the tournament at all costs. This is priority one.

The ref was not in the tournament.

For all the huffing and puffing we have had about disciplinary action in BW during the past few years, I do think this is the first time noone specifically was the one being blamed.
Have more than one referee who makes the final decision.
There aren't exactly a whole lot of qualified people jumping at the opportunity.
Never give one person so much power, he will abuse it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Above all, protect the integrity of the tournament at all costs. This is priority one.
The notion that being a ref in a two day BGH tournament is "absolute power" makes me laugh.
I completely agree with minok, but to clear things up even more, they were disqualified BEFORE insulting admins. And of course, when the admins banned the team they get BM'd..no shit..and then they say the excuse for banning is BMing refs.LOL
The ref was not in the tournament.
So what? the ref was an LRM member, and clearly hates the bgh community. Next time dont pick little girls to ref bgh games This whole tourney turned out to be a disappointment, I dont even care who wins the money, I just wanted to see the best from BGH vs. the best from low money, but I guess my expectations were too high
I idled in channel all day and can say I witnessed Templa and surfer calling Noone bad words for a couple hours. Although they were given 10 warnings that they would be dq'd, they kept calling the referee a bitch. They are either brain dead or simply wanted to get banned since they were afraid. No one gives a shit if you got a one time lucky win.
