I do kind of with that instead of dividing the games into different weeks in the first round, that they played one group completely each week, like in the dual tournament. It makes it very exciting to watch and to see players play more than once a day.

I liked the MSL it was before too, but it had a flaw. The round of 16 matches only BO1, and they pretty much decided your fate. (if you lost your chances of winning was like 0.00001%, where as if u win that and quarters, then lose in semis you still got a good chance) I think I'll do a diagram for u folks.

They play a best of 3. That mean they haven't decided ? Cauz there were a lot of confusing things that weren't clear enough...

But then I would much much much rather see 3 MSL's a year than 2. So it's a good change. I do hate the no 3rd/4th place matches though.

Week 2: Round of 16. Group A and B. First two games (best of 1) Week 3: Round of 16. Group C and D. First two games (best of 1) Week 4: Loser's match for all groups (best of 1) Week 5: Winner's match for all groups (best of 1) Week 6: Game 5 for all groups (Winner week 4 vs loser week 5) (best of 1) This is a very nice way to hold group stages imo, this way the excitement will increase towards the end of the group stages, not like in the osl, where half the groups are already decided after week 5.

The R1 Finals is to see who goes automatically into the next MSL. So I say it's for more than just bragging rights :D. Edit: I would like the Survivor's League, but what happens if it turns out to be like Group B of the Playoffs to get into the KSwiss Dual R1 final (the group with Yellow/Chojja/and the 4th seed dude)? It could very well take forever...

*losing in the round of 16 may lead to dropping to the offline qualifiers for the next Survivor league The 8 2nd place finishers of Survivor League Round 1 are grouped with the 8 players knocked out at the Round of 16 of the previous MSL. They are paired up and play a best of 3. contradiction??
