I am happy that Zero exceeded his goal of Ro8, and put on a great Ro4 showing. Game 4 I was thinking for a moment that we were about to have a ZvT finals, but Jangbi seems to be at his best on the brink of elimination.

I don't know who wants to win this OSL more, everyone left wants to win more than anything else in the world right now, and the games are certainly reflecting that. Thinking about BW is getting me pumped for Flash v Fantasy.

This is one of the greatest series ever. Game 4 had me, once again, chanting "oh my god" with my hands on my head. The way JangBi makes you BELIEVE in Protoss is unreal. It was once said he had the potential to be the Stork and Bisu Archon if he could master PvZ along with his PvT prowess. He just came out on top of a ZvP artist in a gruelling Bo5, and now will face either the greatest Terran of all time or the hottest Terran of the moment in the final.

Archon complete.

Whats ironic is that Jangbi has a completely different style of PvZ to Bisu.

I remember Stork saying once that there is no point to learning Bisu style PvZ because the only one that can do it is Bisu, implying that other Protosses had to come up with a standard style of their own that would work for more "human" PvZers.

how would you characterise jangbi's PvZ style compared to Bisu's? Not as aggressive?

After a relative dearth of PvZ in Semi-Finals and Finals in the past few years, it was so great to see a bo5 in this matchup be one of the best. Despite the fact that Zero had the same plan each time, I found each game incredibly tense and was definitely one of the most intense bo5 sets we've had in the past few years. The only PvZ bo5 recently that topped this was Snow v Jaedong, but that's pretty hard to top. Jangbi v Zero will certainly be remembered stronger though, taking all the history into account.

I really hope we get a couple TLFE from BW's goodbye kiss.

Don't know about Jangbi but Bisu's PvZ is similar to Stork's PvT in the sense of a completely comprehensive understanding of the matchup at all points of the game.

Bisu in his peak yes, but bisu of the last does not give the same impression.

But still i remember this game

Incredible, effort plays like a beast and still loses. One of the best zvp's ever for those who didnt watch :p

Jesus... what's wrong with the OSL schedule. HUGE breaks between every match.... I keep missing everything.

They shouldn't let Broodwar wither away like that and go out with a bang instead.

I dunno, to me that game feels pretty dated and makes me think neither of them really understands the matchup!

He did lose a zealot unnecessarily in game 4 during the final attack. While Jangbi clearly showed tremendous skill, he still doesnt match the magnificent peaks of perfection attained by Jaedong, Flash, or even Bisu.

If you don't think those players, even in their peaks, did mistakes like "lose a zealot unnecessarily in the final attack", you've got rose-coloured glasses on.

...Um. It's 1 match every week. At the exact same time. That's how the OSL schedule has always been. It's not OGN's fault you can't check the calendar (or just simply remember that matches are always on Tuesday night 7:30PM KST every week).

Here's a tip: Semifinal B is NEXT WEEK, on TUESDAY, JULY 17th, at 7:30 PM KST.

Unless either of the 2 underperfoms it is going to be a 3-2 series - and I'm not willing to bet on who it'll favour (though would like for it to be Flash as it just seems more fitting).

No surprisingly, I was expecting 2 FvJ finals in a row but... oh wait accidentally pun.
There were 3 Flash v Jaedong MSL's in a row though, lol

ZerO play was brilliant in both 4th and 5th game, but at the same time he made significant amount of little mistakes.

Zero had brilliant play in the first half of both games then ???????? I mean I saw that break on the natural with a fake drop then eggs to block zealots and I was screaming YEAHHHH then he randomly dropped like 3 lurkers for nothing when jangbi wasn't planning to expand and lost another 2 trying to hold a reverse ramp from dragoons and I were like T_T
