I don't see why people would take walkover in this league. My opponent didn't show up or couldn't and ajmbek was subbed in. Should I have taken a walkover or refused to play? This isn't even a league with prizes but just for fun for people to play and be active.

Yea I agree, we only play 1 game a week, and last few weeks prior to last week's game we just postponed matches, so its not like we have a lot of action going on, thats why I wish the games were more than Bo1, 1 game a week, so underwhelming. But still I hope I don't get walk overed, thats kinda lame if there are 2 walkovers in one team league match.

I would think that out of respect for the league and opponents that everyone would have a little leniency towards Walk overs as people make mistakes and sometimes unexpected things happen which cause players to be a little late.
30 minutes is nothing, especially in broodwar, that is less than 1 TvT. :-p , but yes IMO it is absolutely ridiculous to take walkover's in this league, people should be forced to / want to play they're games to see the real results of each team battle. And yes in my honest opinion anyone who cares about taking a walkover instead of rescheduling the match for another time that day / the next day is obviously worried about losing and is taking the walkover as a result. If you can't find time to reschedule ONE GAME of starcraft for a team league where I think all the games should be played to see the true results then I think that it is more about the person being worried about losing / only caring about winning, and in the end I guess that could be considered dodging, or maybe a more sugar coated way of putting it is desperation. Like I said before I apologized for being late, and I accept the responsibilities of my tardiness and also apologize to my team for the loss, it wont happen again.

Stop crying already, rules are rules, you were late so stop bitching.
If you have a problem talk to the organizer.
If you really accepted responsibility you would have stfu from the start, i hated being allowed to reschedule after since it causes situations like this when someone is a sore loser.

Not everyone has the time to play games 24/7 and can hang around waiting indefinitely. Sure, this league is for fun and is extra motivation for people to play and improve, but there's an expected ettiquette that if you sign up for a league where other people depend on you, you will at least be on time. We've been following the same exact schedule for four weeks now, so it's pretty irresponsible (at least without prior notice) to not show up.

So much drama. Isn't it painfully self evident that you either show up on time or reschedule with your opponent as early as possible? To me failing to do either seems just incomprehensible. If you can't be bothered then accept whatever your opponent decides and don't whine. Own fault.

Showing up an hour late with no prior notice and saying that it's no big deal and that w.o. is lame is utter bullshit. It's great if the opponent has free time and can play, but this is entirely up to him.

just pm your future opponent to arrange time, it is completly allowed by rules, you can even play on a different day your match, just decide time with your opponent, BEFORE the game time
