Layoff Eywa he is a C rank and thus eligible to play in CRTL I dont know where you get the balls to say he is lying when he just wants to represent something unlike you.

-removed-
lol so what is he c- or d+??? if he reached c- and fall back with like 1 loss orso? isnt it right to set him to crtl if you consider the course of the drtl season?

ROFL eywa C??? no where near c...... and if he was do you got any proof? He is talking about KTF_Cloak, and I don't see why he is responding to Eywa- when clearly he meant to respond to me.
TL-TyranT, a person can't be both D+ and C-. If he claims to be both, then one of them must be a lie. Pretty simple, no? I have no authority, I was just making a joke about him not being eligible for both.

I'd like to remind everybody, and most importantly the team captains, that the draft will be held on Saturday, Feb 18 6:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). (Alternatively, 18 hours from this post.)

Players that improved last season should graduate to C league. I bet there's some people in here (such as lonelyprobe who participated in C tourney) that are probably a bit too good for this league now and should move up a level so as to keep the competition fresh for newcomers. Also C league needs more people.

Just curious, how will the draft be implemented? Is there a roster of all FAs that we will be presented? What online venue will we be using?

Yeah, my bad, fixed it.

We currently have about 80 people, so we should be able to fill out 10 teams with enough people. As for the venue, easiest solution is to get into a Skype conference call. I can give everyone a list of who's available and we can go from there.

my sis wants me to drive her home from college at draft time tomorrow. is it necessary for free agents to be present at the time of draft?

No, you don't have to be present. You can if you want to, but you'll probably have nothing to do at the time, if you're not a captain

I'd say top players to consider:
Nikon 7-1 Essbee 6-2 Eywa- 6-3 Slugger 5-0 Sabas 5-3 Conversion 5-3 Jealous 4-0 Canadium 3-0 Holgerius 3-1 Tetraspace 3-1 Lmaster 2-0 Gao Xi 2-0 Prophecy 2-1

I think that there are a lot of people that grew in skill from this league that are purposely underrating there abilities so that they can reap the benefits of there growth by becoming the aces for their team. I think this goes against the point of D league, as it promotes stagnation at the D+/C- level, and lessons the value of the league for newer weaker players.
Unfortunately there is no motivation for anyone to move on to C league as it just transforms them from a celebrated ace player to someone who is relatively a noob compared to his teammates.
I propose that the top players of last season automatically get transferred up to C league. We cannot rely on people to police themselves. I only pointed out lonelyprobe because he is the most obvious example among several of a player that is clearly not D+ who is using this as an excuse to enjoy being the big fish in a small pool. I don't fault anyone for desiring to play in a league among mostly lower level players as it is unpleasant always getting raped online everyday, and these leagues allow whoever is on top gets to feel like they are Flash. However this promotes stagnation and hurts the honest D level players in the tourney. That is why I think that we should have a system to promote people each season rather than expect them to ladder themselves.

Well, the thing is, there is such a system in place. I've talked with L_Master and we've agreed to promote the top performers from this league after the current season finishes. The main idea here is to keep the league running, since the last team league before the DRTL 1 was in the winter 2009-2010 season. Afterwards people forgot about a lower-level league for quite a bit. Hopefully, this would entice more people to play and/or help people at lower levels retain interest, as well as improving individuals into the next level, so to speak.
Now, of course, this plan was drawn out with the assumptions that more people would sign up for the C ranks, so we could delay the promotions by one season. It would also help the DRTL get established as a brand, so to speak. Something for players to look forward to. If you look at the number of players that have currently signed up, it should be pretty clear why. We have ~80 people, quite a bit of them are returnees. Not to mention that some of the players you're eyeing up have entered with teams of their own friends. If I just eject people hours before the pre-season draft, I might as well say fuck it and not hold the league. One, it will probably piss off their friends, and two 80 people is about the minimum we can have if we want 10 teams. If we lose too many people, we might have to cut teams, and if some of the premade teams withdraw due to ejected players... well, it's not a good perspective.
It's a bit too late to complain about the season's participation rules at this point, but we have what you are suggesting set in motion for the next one. Will there be a next one? Maybe, probably, I don't know. But I surely hope so. I'm sorry that you can't get enough people for the C ranks. Shit, I'd sign up if it was decided that I was eligible and I was free at game time. But please understand the position we're in currently.

You should have a list of FA'd players somewhere, as a suggestion.
It's not good if people think they've signed up if they havn't, and so on. Also it's easier for reference.
But maybe i'm blind or something.
