That loss hurts badly, but STX played great. I only wonder why Hyvaa played instead of Calm.
I'm pessimistic about T8 for several reasons: 1) Jaehoon is horrible imo. That game vs Hyvaa looked incredibly sloppy. 2) Sea looked like he had no idea what to do in that game. 3) The coach doesn't get any MUs right. Today we had Sea vs protoss (fifth in a row or something), jaedong vs zvz sniper, Jaehoon vs zerg... 4) Why didn't they pick up the OZ protoss rookies?? They are way better than the protoss line they have now and would probably have cost much, much less to have on the roster.
I hope I am wrong and I would love to see T8 turn this around, but imo it looks grim. The team still has loads of talent (except in the protoss line). Jaedong and Baby are playing really well. New teams always struggle.

Honestly I am really pissed at Hwaseung pulling out of sponsorship. If Oz didn't disband, they would have Anytime leading Shy and Dear. His experience would bring those two Protosses into stardom. Then you got yourself Jaedong, Hiya and Killer. In this new format, this is a killer lineup! (no pun intended lol). This sucks so much.

All they really needed was Baby to help fix inconsistencies in terran lineup.
Also, don't forget Sky who did extremely well during Dream League along with Shy. Potential for him to be beast in PL later was definitely there. http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/players/713_Sky/games/during/852_KeSPA_10-11_Dream_League

Oh look at you.
Jaehoon loses, you rag on him non-stop Jaehoon wins, you rag on him non-stop
Does he have to win an OSL, going through TBLS as well as every A-tier player before you stop that?

I guess I should do like every one else here and say that whoever wins is good and whoever loses is bad and should probably retire? I think Jaehoon is a bad player, that is my oppinion even if he happened to win a (imo) very sloppy game today. Again, I would love it if he proved me wrong.

So let me get this straight, because hyvaa made mistakes and Jaehoon did not do anything wrong......he's still a bad player? Nevermind all the GOOD things he did that game, because hyvaa made mistakes, Jaehoon is still bad?
Honestly answer me this, WHO does Jaehoon need to beat before you stop saying he's bad?

Don't jump the gun. The idea that he thinks of both Jaehoon and hyvaa as bad are not mutually exclusive. He never even so much mentions hyvaa in his post.
Any "good" player isn't denoted or highlighted by his victory over a player, but a showing of consistent and at least efficient and standard, if not impressive, play - no matter what the situation, build, map, and no less the player. There is no way to "prove" Jaehoon is a good player until that happens - no one can disprove Jaehoon is a good player either. He's a captain, modest, and by no means a pushover. He's responsible, has great game sense and performs spectacularly in practice. However, if he continues to allow the camera and booth to pressure him so then of course, that will be an obstinate blockade to being "good".
Who cares about his individual preference and perception of players, all you and everyone else needs to remember is to not oversimplify and enjoy the games and enjoy the player's hopeful growth.

I feel like team 8 is doing poor not just because they are only fielding just 6 players, but because they lack sufficient practice partners as well. serioulsy even ACE has 12 players on their roster, while all other teams have ~20 players + online practice partners.
also I just can't fucking believe that sea played vs a protoss EVERY match :O

If Sea won all his game, Team 8 would be top tier by now....so if he didn't face against any Toss, Team 8 would have been like at least rank 3

wow i cant believe how hyvaa lost that after having 4 bases for such a long time. he lost too many hydras too easily. he had such a low hydra count o.o

not to take credit away from jaehoon, but hyvaa only really had 3 bases most of the game. and hyvaa never really had any chance to drone up, he had to use larva for units to fight jaehoon

Jaehoon's become a pretty good player who still has really terrible PvZ. This is not exactly unique in the world of Brood War. I'll admit I haven't watched the game yet, but I would not be at all surprised if Jaehoon won while playing pretty badly just because his opponent played worse – even though I'm very surprised that hyvaa lost to Jaehoon, since ZvP is the one matchup hyvaa's actually pretty good at (hi Bisu).

hyvaa is actually pretty bad at all matchups, but he is one of the bad players who is capable of brilliant play (bisu, flash)

he got one win, don't expect people to stop ragging on him because of that

+ Show Spoiler +I just realized that the Esportstv VODs don't include the post-game interviews. Thankfully the streamers' VODs have them.
