Team 8 could really use a boost right about now. Somebody's gotta get Sea into a winning mode or they'll never make it. They need to have at least a winning season to attract some sponsors.

I actually found the 'official rankings' on the KeESPA website (bottom right corner). You were right, so I changed the table.

That makes it look rather bad for the poor Team 8. Come on (T)Sea, hang in there!

Makes me so sad to see Team 8 so close to being last. Sea needs to start winning some games to help out.

It looked so promising for them the first couple of weeks too.

With the old ace match and winners' league formats I thought SKT were the favourites, but I think CJ has the best overall team for the new format. They can legimitately put out five solid players for each match.

Yes, there will be playoffs:

-8 teams will participate. In this post season, 4 top teams will go into playoffs with challenge style (previously used format I guess). Semi-PO and PO will be Best out of 3, while Finals will be only one match.

I'm not sure what 'challenge style' is exactly. At a guess I'd say: Semi-PO: rank 4 vs rank 3; PO: winner vs rank 2; final: winner vs rank 1. Pretty much like Winners League finals last season.

Seems like there's a believe that there's a floodgate of mirror this year. Here are some numbers:

So far, there's 102 games played. Of them, 42 are mirrors, making roughly 41% of games mirrors. In contrast, the 2010-2011 Season had 445 mirror games out of 1118 games total, which is about 40%. Go back another year to the 2009-2010 Season, there were 496 out of 1159 mirror games, which is about 42%. Go back one more year and we get 43.5%.

So I don't know what all the complaints are about.

I can't remember whether someone else has reported this already or not but OGN and Kespa are moving the weekday matches to 8pm from Round 2 onwards.

WTF why?!?!?!!!! T____T

when I'm fucking in Korea, they make the matches at the exact time I have class. Then as soon as I come home, they change it from a decent viewing time (11pm PST) to one where I have no clue when I should sleep to be able to watch it (3am PST)

What was wrong with 4pm... There were plenty of people showing up to weekday games... The last one I attended, SKT vs ACE was totally packed. I don't get it ;;

DES published an article on why OGN made the change but I can't be bothered to read it. I'm just so tired of OGN and Kespa taking fans (and the players) for granted after they get a great initial response from them.

I don't think that there is a flood of mirrors, but there is definitely a bit of racial imbalance thus far. Protosses in general are crushing Terrans hard currently, at 13-8 or 61.9% win rate, whereas Zerg is just barely ahead of Protoss at 12-11 ZvP, or 52.2%. Protoss is also seeing the most play in general.

A big part of this is just how weak Terran lineups have been in the post-restructuring age, with only a few S-class and top A-class Terran players. After (T)Flash, (T)Fantasy, (T)BaBy, and (T)Light, the quality of Terran players drops off precipitously, whereas Protoss and Zerg lineups seem much deeper (see: CJ Entus and Samsung KHAN).

EDIT: I'm not claiming this is a big problem; there's really no such thing as a perfectly balanced proleague or starleague of any sort. This season is actually probably more balanced than previous seasons (in 2009-2010, Zerg played 662 games compared to 555 for Protoss, which is quite significant considering the large sample set.)

That's a shame from my perspective. I was just getting used to watching the first one or two games during breakfast. It was fun to be pondering over the results during the day, before being able to watch the rest in the evening. Back to reading the news I guess.

lol, Bogus who is 1-4 this season? He may have been one of STX's stars last season, but this season he seems to be struggling, although his quality of opponents is very high, and he did beat Bisu. I haven't watched any of his games, so I can't comment on how his actual play is.

Well you included Light who is 1-5 so far this season, so it is kind of weird to not include Bogus on your list.

Bogus had a rough start this season. He also beat Bisu and had an epic game with Stats where he almost made a legendary comeback. He deserves to be in a list with top Terran any day.
