Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth and easy, or that anyone who embarks on the strange voyage can measure the tides and hurricanes he will encounter. The statesman who yields to war fever must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events. ~ Sir Winston Churchill

This step it's cruicial for you to not get any spyware!
Wait for the program to be installed.
3) The launcher
When you first open Minilauncher you have to update it. It will automatically request this, so you just just have to click yes (Y) and it will start updating.
Next thing you wanna do is get the servers: Go to the "Tool"-tab. Here you'll see three buttons at the bottom. These are the three major Korean servers: Brainclan, Fish and Mapzine. In ISL2 you're gonna be playing on the Fish server - so click that button!
Now go the the "Launcher"-tab. This should look fairly familiar to you. You can select the plugins you want. The ones you MUST have checked are: [MINI] for 1.16.1 (Anti hack) Chaosplugin for 1.16.1 (Auto replay etc.) LatencyChanger for 1.16.1 (Allows you to play in low latency games)
Changes the latency on BNet-games which end on #LL or #L1 ... #L5 #LL sets latency to 2 (like on Lan) #L1 ... #L5 sets latency to the supplied number For LAN-games use the settings. On LAN the settings have to be the same or all players Only works if ALL players in the game have LatencyChanger, else you will get disconnects
Fold gL, unfortunately you didn't pick up any of the good Chinese players T_T. Dan good video, probably the best one you have done, I think you can clear up the clutter of the videos or re-size a few of them to make it more clear. (sas.Ace's video rotating in the back was near invisible)

Can you clarify that since it's different from the other thread? How many matches exactly are being played? If it's really Bo3 what will be the maps for the other matches?
Also, in the full schedule it says Saturday 1CET instead of Sunday 1CET for Weeks 1 and 2 or is that what it's meant to be? It does say Sunday 1CET in the un-spoilered section.
All you do is complain, yet you've never done much for the community yourself.
Ok, point given to you. You're just one person that pushes my buttons very well. I really do apologize. At least you try something to do; I'll try to work on it, promised. Also, I will post/respond to you completely neutral, somewhen I should stop that stupid bullshit.
Don't get me wrong the trailer is awesome (both from a technical aspect and the atmosphere it creates), but speeches from 1871-1945 in Germany are always kind of offensive. Understand that Germany is tagged with that kind of thing for the past 70 years and almost 100% of todays generation are not connected to that history in any way. So if there is something planned next time pay attention to that more sensitive issue, maybe I'm the only one reacting to this in that way after the ExVodsPhoenix incidents on bw.de and other pages that (as it was a former co-worker of mine) really, really do embarass me

I apologize for the confusion. All individual sets will be Bo3. And your play date is Sunday, 1CET -- which gives some time on Saturday for all the people in North America.
As a german I feel offended as well. Please take down that video. I don't know bakuryu and kolll in person but I'm pretty sure they feel the same way and don't want to be shown with that speech playing in the background.
As much as I like that video technically it's just too much.
I see this tournament as a competition similar too RL sports and dislike every connection to RL war.
edit: I should add a little explanation since some non-german TLers won't understand my reaction: In the background you hear Joseph Goebbels speaking (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goebbels), one of the most famous Nazis in Germany during their reign.
If I would actually care I would say it's pretty offensive indeed. It's Dan's choice to do it and Eywa's choice to associate it with the event, sad but true.

Did you have your eyes open at the time?
Again a comment for everything I post, yet it was directed @ Dan, if your name is Dan then I guess I should've made it more clear.
OMG 2WW was almost 70 years ago and you say that you dont feel any connection with these events. I think it is enough time to have some distance and stop taking everything too serious. If tl stuff remove that vid it would be censorship, nice allusion to 2WW times by the way
So as one of the casters it's kind of my job to be impartial but... let's just say USA better kick some serious ass out there. Good luck to all the other teams too; just less luck.

It is really not funny to see these two great players connected to one of the biggest Nazis.
North American Daylight Savings time is on November 6th whereas European DST was on October 30th. What does this mean? It means that EST time = +5 rather than +6, Central +6, Mountain +7, Pacific +8.
Who this affects? Canada USA Latin America
So, if you show up at 1pm EST, you'll have showed up 1 hour too early!
If you are living in Asia and/or Oceania, you may experience a change in time relative to CET as well, please, verify this and inform your team.
Silly Germans and their lifelong conditioning to be hypersensitive of their Nazi past. Who cares, all of those people in the video are essentially nazis, clinton, goebbels, churchill, every one of them would have you in an oven if they had the chance, fuck them all.

yeah well done picking offrace and forcing it to an ace match when we couldve won before then even with your loss. several canadian players have midterms etc which is understandable, doesnt mean the rest of us should give up when we still have a great chance.
well im not 100% lol, i came on to obs + support but we wouldve gotten w.od if i didnt play so i did. I should b back for real in like a week or too i think
well, there is no rule which defines that. It only tells you use of an incorrect map will end up in a draw for that set, however, it doesn't tell if it's loser's choice after the original map nor that the mappool is consisting only of the listed maps.
its funny how eywa banned all players who played a not listed map and in the final match between canada and ce he dont care.i really like the consistency in the decision making -.-

You're right, the only rule I see that even slightly covers that is:
12) The use of an incorrect map will result in a draw for the set, both players will be banned from their next Nation War.(Rule #8 applies for rigged maps)
Eywa I think players that used incorrect maps have the right to regame. The only place the map pool was listed was in your description on fish. I would just alter the rules for next week and let players regame for this week.

I did tell everyone the rule about the maps - Though I realize it wasn't clear enough so I will be fixing that.
Several replays were not submitted and so these sets have been reversed, this is a reminder to all players who win their sets to send in their replays or their sets will be counted as a loss. Players who have been affected by this so far: AlfiO, Sailboat, CaStrO.
Also, if you have lost your set, you must conserve your replays in the event that the winner did not send in the replays. You will be given a walk over, however you must still submit the replays.
Concerning Maps
There has been an issue with the maps, all team leaders and players were told about the map pool and what not, however, it was not written anywhere which does pose a problem. Several maps were used when they should not have been, however due to the reason state above, all of this week's offenders will be pardoned. With that being said, any further miss use of maps will result in the application of rule #12 - The use of an incorrect map will result in a draw for the set, both players will be banned from their next Nation War.(Rule #8 applies for rigged maps). Players who should have been affected by this: Vorti, KapyO, Kassploj, HanDy, Pro7ect, Defi, TrutaCz, Johnek, DragOn, LocDog.
- Map Rules -
- Listed map will begin the sets according to order of the draw made by leaders - All further map selection will be made by the loser of the previous set(must be from the current week's map pool). - Each map may only be used once per series
Concerning Names
Players must use their most known names while playing official nation wars games, in addition, players must be in proper tag (Eywa-[CA], Game[US]). There will be no disciplinary action taken on this week's offenders (Pez, Sziky, Sailboat), however any further offense will be dealt with by the disqualification of the player concerned, this also applies to people who did not have an offense this week.
Concerning Player Identification
This is not a problem for many well known players, however, if a leader finds himself incapable of providing identification for his players to league commissioners, these players will not be permitted to play in the current Nation War.
Concerning Leaders
Leaders should be present to all Nation Wars, if you cannot attend, you are to assign a player to make your draw for you, this is done through the league commissioners, you cannot complete this without giving the commissioners notice. In the event that this task is not accomplished and the leader happens to not show up, a draw will be made with the 5 first players from the Nation who identify their presence and who's identity is known. Draw will be randomly shuffled with said players. e.g. If Wombat-Ex55[US] comes into channel and says, Hey bro... I'm Game[US]. If nOoNe[US] fails to confirm this due to not being there, Wombat-Ex55[US] will not be permitted to play even if he gets on his other account and 5 other players who are present and identified as being themselves will be selected to enter the draw. Also, proceeding confirmation of said player, counter abuse measures will be taken for security reasons.
Leaders must abide by league procedures even if they have found a way of doing things that is "better". They are also responsible to make sure their players do the same.
I will be updating this into the main OP at some time today
Awsome tournament so far. The only problem with it id say is its hard to tell who's winning and what not, there should be like a record count like for example "usa 1-0". But you guys will probably add that so lol
Good decisions as this was the first week of the first season. I watched Asia Pacific vs USA casted on Hacklebeast's stream. Who was the caster ? The PvP series between Heroes and Jumper was nice.
edit : seems that the caster was Hacklebeast himself according to OP. I wished he looked more at the minimap and moved more dynamically on the map, but overall it was not bad !

You appear to be correct. Not only that, but Part 1 is only 4:30 when the file I have for it on my computer is over 11 minutes. I'm not sure how that happened, but this was the game during which the stream crashed so perhaps there is some corruption that's affecting the upload. I will re-up now.
Edit: seems the video really is f***ed. If you really want to watch it, it's split into 4 parts on my twitch.tv page. I'll have a look to see if I can fix the video, but it wasn't a particularly great game tbh so I'm not gonna spend too much time.

Damn, people are really epically bad at showing up! Any [WE] players who didn't turn up today, who read this, please join the facebook group here, or check this thread very regularly, so that you don't get left out of training/CWs. Also, log into your Skype accounts please.
This is the hardest choke I've seen in a long time. For the first 10 minutes of game 3 i was thinking, I'm understanding why he was being so overconfident in game 2, he's clearly got the TvT matchup more figured out. Then he goes and loses for no reason lolol.

Yeah, both games he had and threw away. Oh, well, things like that happen. Disappointing to see a person do everything right and then do something dumb and lose.
Hm I was wondering if we can make individual threads like proleague for each nation war so we can have live report threads, or do we think there will not be enough activity for each? Since I can't really watch all the games (3-4casters and many nation wars ) it would be nice to get quick updates on those.

or make one general thread per week, more to read and skip through, but oh well. maybe one per caster?

I think one per week could work, this can be one for GC as well I guess.
Eywa, im confused, stream time says Canada vs AP is 17CET Sunday, but schedules say 1CET... its 17CET = 1 PM Eastern time right? could you please fix that... thanks

Its not a mistake, stream is done at 17CET, games played at 1CET.
play time = 7pm EST(Saturday) stream time = 11am EST(Sunday)
Pains me... gag... Never mind ewya you can remove the results LOL.
Dragon WHY U NO PLAY???????? QuitCanada WHY U LEAVE CANADA?? CVCVBVBV WHY U SCAN SMURF? haha ~
Well Exceed showed up ready for a game on Sunday... But that was long after the NW was played.
He showed up at the wrong date......? We need better management, I fully saw exceed online before I went over to fish server.
Canada should have a decent lineup, that being said, many of them would have to stop being cowards for Canada to succeed at well... at least making it to the playoffs.

It has nothing to do with management if the player was told days before hand and reminded the day of and was msg'd about 10 times before the start and still didn't come.
Eywa can you check your PM and update the team lineup?
Also, please reply about our IP issue. Last week, Game(or whoever was on aNw) was asking us to check the IPs of the players on that day when we already submitted it earlier so can you both please decide on one thing? We've also sent in replay packs which should be more than enough to prove who the players are.

I have 0 PMs in my mailbox from you . And no offense, but you are the one who told me the game was on Sunday a week prior to the match, but if you don't believe me, then that's too bad. It is a shame I came on a wrong date, but I wouldnt have if i was told the correct date... or reminded via pm.
that being said, it is my fault too for not double checking the thread for schedule, but i was double dumbfounded by seeing stream time and just thought, hey! its on sunday!..

I have you on F A on iCC and was msging, but that being said 1pm est Sunday. And yes I did but I tried getting contact of you via iCC instead of pm on here because I saw you were online.
doesn't seem so;( nothing too spectacular, Nordic had only 2 players, so 2x 1v1, 1x 2v2, rest w.o. :/ sad. Hope we will get a full lineup from Nordic in the rematch.
Its just the games with asia pacific that are at different times. Because 19cet is like 4am for us, when we play a euro team we play at like 15 CET, which is midnight for us, and when we play a US team we play at 1 CET, which is like 8am. Both those times are reasonable for the other teams.
There should be MVP Standings and you could make a poll about the best 2-3 games from each round and after all gambit a poll about the best game in the season ; )

Added schedule of weeks 4-6 as well as maps, please take a look at these, maps in brackets are made as replacements in case new proleague maps aren't available by the given date.
wow, there are still no results from the past week and no updates to the streams. i dont get the reason behind this mass spoilers without actual content.
@eonzerg nw is Saturday, November 26th 19CET as far is i know -.-

Fucking things Sucks!
Anyhow, sorry for delay, results posted, still haven't linked VODs and replays... :-/ Sorry.
Sorry I've been absent for the Nordic team these past Saturdays. Timing have been really bad for me, and this Saturday I have to work, so won't be able to show. I hope some nordic come, and I appreciate you that do!
I will have to step down as Nordic Leader.. I just don't have the time for it! Saturdays are no good for me. Deeply sorry. Also, Mazur.. Who is KazioWichura ?

And i've got a question about maps, could someone tell me if Ground Zero = Troy and Chain Reaction = Pathfinder, I thought they are difrend maps.
< Match Point > < Eye of the Storm > < Destination > < Ground Zero (Troy) > < Chain Reaction (Pathfinder) > < Andromeda - 2x2 > < New Bloody Ridge >

I love hacklebeast;d if he could just improve his sound output, there is something that makes it sound like there was some filter applied to it. Slightly different.

I'm not exactly sure what your saying. My mic is normaly staticy. There was one cast I did a few weeks ago where I hit an option called "noise surpression," and it took away the static, but made my voice sowned a little warped. I tried it out and was told to switch it back to staticy.
So when you say "a filter" are you talking about the warped sound or the static? and which are you saying is better?
And, yea, I messed up on the FD. I can't say much else than I hope it didn't ruin the cast for you, and that you give it another shot either tomorrow or next week.
hacklebeast, everytime I turn on your stream, most of the time I can't hear a thing.... I think people experience the same..? But when I can hear, you do good commentary. keep it up
Trying to get all the thread updates done before GC starts today, Playoff brackets made(however not all season positions have been determined yet), last night's results have been posted, schedule for upcoming weeks to be added. Teams and How to play moved to the second post to make line ups and results more accessible.
Hey guys, the playoffs are set to take off, Week 6, tomorrow will give us the final seeds for the already constructed brackets. The time slots have been decided and they are as follows:
Pool A
NW A - 1500CET NW B - 1730CET NW C - 2000CET
Pool B
NW A - 1800CET NW B - 2030CET NW C - 2300CET
Teams will be fit as best as possibly can within the timezones listed. There is a wide selection of time zones and so it is difficult to select a good common time. Each team will be assigned two of these time slots.
fr)yoda (Russian Cast) 1800CET - USA vs Russia (Live only) 2030CET - Russia vs Latin America (Live only)
Player Streams - Times may vary depending on line ups Vanatir (FPView) 1730CET - Asia Pacific vs Germany 2000CET - Germany vs Poland
Other Streams still being sorted out, standby for updates. If you are wanting to stream this, please contact either myself or Game, you will not be allowed to enter games as an observer unless you have gotten permission from either of us. Please note, if you are a player wanting to stream FPView, please also contact me. You will be required to associate your stream with the event on teamliquid, any player who fails to follow this procedure and streams their games without having informed the league commissioners will be dealt with at our discretion.
Also, due to time restrictions, I request that players and leaders start checking in 15 minutes before their NW time so that we can get the draws done on the hour.
Hey guys, I forgot to announce this earlier, but during the playoffs each nation will only be permitted 1 roster move. Please consider this when recruiting.

Huh, you made the move before the announcement, you're fine for that. It's 1 move for whole playoffs.
