My lords! My ladies -- and everybody else here NOT sitting on a cushion:
Today, today, you find yourselves equals... For you are all equally blessed. For I have the pride, the privilege, nay, the pleasure Of introducing to you two Zergs, Two Zergs who can trace their lineage back beyond Char, Who will do battle before you all, until one is the victor, the other defeated.
The first I met atop a mountain, Where he defeated the mighty Pro7ect and later ravished the dreadful Protoss Sneazel
His homeland is Hungary representing both sas and the Zerg race The One, The Only Sziky!
The other was the undoing manifest of the manly Moustachezerg He became the bane of banes of the Comeback Kid
I give to you The first ISL's runner-up The Sniper Zerg Ace!

INTERVIEWS
Sziky Q: Looking back at your run through ISL, did you think you could make it this far? Who was your toughest opponent? Sziky: Can't say that i knew i'd make it to the finals, but i also couldn't imagine being dropped out. (I would have probably smashed everything starting with my keyboard and mouse :D) My toughest opponent was sneazel. He varied his builds and play, i prepared the most against him as i feared him the most.
Q) How has your practice been going? Are you confident in your ZvZ? Sziky: I can't prepare as much as i want, it's difficult because of work. Still, i'd say im the old myself except for zvz, in which im not too confident t.t Although that might be because i used to play a different style in zvz. I tried to change it by now with more ore less success.
Q) Are you confident in your match against Ace? Do you think you can win? Sziky: If i looked at our previous matches, i'd say yes, i'm confident and i'll win, but anything can happen. I've lost to worse players than Ace before, so never say never.
Q) Any words to your fans? Sziky: Thank you to everyone who has been cheering for me, keep on! And everyone should come back to bw!! :D
Ace Q: Looking back at your run through ISL, did you think you could make it this far? Who was your toughest opponent? Ace: Well, I made the Finals in ISL1, so I knew that I'm gonna do it again. My toughest opponent was Bakuryu on my way. I practiced only ZvZ's for so many hours before the playday, also in the Ro16 I had really though time against UltrA (Patrrron, ed.). My hands were frozen, I didn't play well, and UltrA managed to come back twice, and I could win only with a score of 3-2.
Q) How has your practice been going? Are you confident in your ZvZ? Ace: ZvZ is really hard, ling micro is like all or nothing, if you make one mistake, you'll fail. I think I'm more and more confident. I have really good practice partners, friends who can help me to practice as much as I need. I hope I can surprise Sziky this time.
Q) Are you confident in your match against Sziky? Do you think you can win? Ace: Sziky and me are good friends, and we play some ZvZ's every week. He wins 4 times out of 5 games. If the games were played on the same day as the semifinals, I wouldn't have had any chance to win. Now I know the maps, I know what will I do on every map. I think it's should be enough. I hope for close results. 2-4, 3-4 or 4-3
Q) Any words to your fans? Ace: huk, the last used shootout: GOGO SAS, GOGO HUNGARY!

np.
btw really cooly video, thanks for it, and also thanks for the whole tournament! I hope i could participate in other great tournament too in the future!
No offense to either player but I find Ace's ZvZ inferior to Sziky's with Sziky having a lot better mutalisk control and stuff. Ace is better strategy-wise, but control wins more games than strategy in ZvZ.
We need to develop an application that Sayle can use ---> Enter player name, displays pic + last 10 games also, total tournament win/loss ratios + match up specific w/l. Would be pretty sick(video just made me think of this).
It's a bit unfortunate it had to be a ZvZ as the final, it's by far my least favourite match-up. I have a hard time getting hyped up for it. I'll still watch it though; gotta support this stuff. And the players are really high level, so it might be great anyway.
Gotta give Sziky the edge here, he's been playing like a god recently.

I actually tried to do this manually (just putting all that info on a static overlay) for the Ro8 and Ro4, but I'm terrible with graphics and didn't have enough time, so it ended up just being the player pics.
Really hoping for some hive ZvZ since it's pretty much the last barely discovered frontier of BW. Pretty happy with the finals for that reason since it has the chance to be EPIC!
While the video is better than the others, I think it's best to put in the highlights of those who have come this far and the opponents they have defeated, instead of randomly tossing in people from the Ro64. It will build more hype imo.
ZvZ finals... were quite common in korea but not too much in foreign scene. This actually looks interesting. unfortunatelly its highly unlikely it will give us long epic games, but should be more tense :D.
Ok I'm not original, but let there be some Hi-Tech ZvZ's I hope that there will be. Please guys practice those and let us have a bit of fun! I know ZerO and Great specially practiced Hive ZvZ before their PDPop MSL semifinals So Y U NO practice it too?
PS: Shit, there should have been Triathlon added to map pool. Oh Game Game y u no put it? It'd be the most chance for hive.

Sziky and Ace have already been top players before those two years, so it is in no way a surprise.
Well I said two years, because that was TSL-2, and even though Sziky had a good run, both of them were no near as good as they are now. At least that's what I feel, but since most top foreigners stopped playing BW and that the Iccup ranks do not represent the same skill as before, it's hard to tell exactly.
It's just funny how they are the two best foreigners now, both from the same country and playing the same race.

No f*cking hive tech. That's crap. 100% boring. If there is a hive - thats mean one of them turtle hard or playing too defensive. This is not show match. Ppl fighting for real money $$$ Take the initiave, play agreesive, make it micro game not boring long game. Wanna see muta micro, scurge, fast action games . Wanna see build order wins, surprising ur opp. Play unusual make proxy hatch, hide lings, offensive sunken maybe.. make us to say wow great play! Ace 4:1 Szicky
Edit: Holy shit, this guy's really good. Well, the fact that you can see an unmade bed in a dorm room behind him makes it all look a tad less professional, but the voice and spirit are all good.

I would like to point out that Terror[fOu] (1a2a3a[fOu]) makes a living via casting. Unmade bed? Least of your concerns.

Wait, you mean this is Terror[fou]?
No... but if you've ever watched his cast, you'd understand the inference.

Oh, haven't. But anyway, this guy's really good. It's really crazy that you guys actually got a Korean caster for the finals. And two for the English cast...

Also, for winning ISL2 Supply Bingo, Prof.Protoss gets a showmatch versus me.

I'm so happy! I hope I'll get my comp fixed until then.
Good games all, a well earned top4 Edit: thx for the tournament ofcourse, went really smooth in the organisation I think. And a special thank you to Sayle. It is crazy how much you cast, but it is so awesome that you really get the viewers back into Brood War, thank you for that!
I've been thinking about taking up donations for a larger tournament a little off in the future through replays, but have yet to build up the courage to ask TL.
