I mean jesus christ on a fucking unicycle, first it was set to be in china, but god cast storm on it, then it was delayed some more, then the weather in China was too harsh so now it's back in Korea. Christ this thread has almost 1500 posts in it and the games haven't even been played yet.

Once, it has been delayed one time. We're just posting in this thread in anticipation of it happening on the 19th. The only thing that was delayed multiple times was the announcement of the second date.

Do you honestly expect soO and s2 to beat Stats? Really?

i think it's a coin-flip.

s2 is 13-9 v protoss since 2010, beating Stats once on icarus (58% ZvP). he's 6-3 vP in this season of proleague.

n.Die_soO is 10-3 vP this season, going 2-1 v Stats (L on Empire of the Sun, which is 50/50 ZvP; both wins on Neo Aztec, 54% ZvP). He also has a 7-game win streak v Protoss.

There's no doubt Stats is the more talented and consistent player, but as far as the matchup goes, vZ is Stats' weakest (15-14 vZ this season).

I'd say s2/n.Die_Soo are slight (51-52%) favorites v Stats.

That said KT should be happy if they can match up Stats (62% career winrate v Toss, 18-11 this season) v Bisu, who he's 1-0 against this season.

I think KT's optimal matchups are Flash v Bisu/Fantasy, Stats v Bisu/Fantasy, Action/Perfective/Hoejja v Best/By.Sun/S2/n.Die_soO.

If Stats or Flash loses I don't think KT has a chance. If both Bisu and Fantasy win I don't think KT has a chance. If both Bisu and Fantasy lose I don't think SKT has a chance. If Bisu or Fantasy loses I think KT has a chance.

The problem is, assume Bisu/Fantasy play Flash/Stats and they split. s2/by.sun/soO/Best are much better than Action/Crazy-Hydra/Barracks/Perfective.

So KT is counting more on Flash/Stats sweeping (or Perfective matching up v Best and coming through) while SKT can afford one of Bisu/Fantasy to lose.

The funny thing about Mortis is that I had a long multi PM chat with him about his attitude and told him he should tone and down and make an effort to be kinder if he was a tentatively allowed PBU, but, welp, didn't learn to lay low I guess.
