how did baby get hurt so bad by DT drop? it seemed like he was expecting it but just had horrible turret placement/defense in general. I would say he was actually expecting reaver drop but his turrets werent really placed well for that either....

That wildcard was very very brutal. He had to get past players like zero and leta.
I'm rlly happy with the results of todays matches and so is my LB. Jangbi looking so solid with those storms. I'm officially jumping on the Jangbi boat and I think he has a chance.

I agree. People who only advance through tiebreakers are noobs with no skill.

Agreed.
PvT is JangBi's best m/u by far! Hello, Number 1 ELO Peak PvT
Flash is of course good at all 3 m/u's but if I HAD TO say.. 1) TvT 2) TvZ 3)TvP
I think JangBi can do it.. not so sure if he can beat a zerg IF he did beat Flash though.

I hope you get punished for your actions Hyuk... By getting booted out of the OSL by your fellow teammate Fantasy again. The cruelest fate of all, getting knocked out by your own teammate for the umpteenth time, even worse than facing the humiliation of getting cheesed!
It's a cruel fate to wish upon someone, but really, having only 2 Protoss left in the OSL is a crime... -__-
BAHAHAHAHAH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SO HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
IT'S THE BEST RESULT I COULD HOPE FORRRRRRRRRR
Their fates are entwined with each other! There is no escaping the inevitable teamkill!
Fantasy, kick Hyuk's ass for me and all will be good. |D
Also pleased with the rest of the Ro8 matchups. Since Jangbi successfully made it out today, I believe he'll go all the way and pull an Effort. Fuck yeah Jangbi.
jangbi needs a SL win to motivate stork again, so yeah go jangbi. can't be bothered about the other players already since hyuk vs fanta is gonna be a shitfest while killer, soo modesty would probably fumble and get all nervous about playing higher and higher. Flash should just be gracious and let jangbi win an SL first -.-
as much I want jangbi to beat flash, I dont see him taking a single game off of him. jangbi's PvT just isnt what it was 2 years ago, even with his recent un-slumping. his win vs baby was more baby having bad defense in the beginning than jangbi playing exceptional.
flash will make the final and either fantasy or hydra will try to take it from him.
I noticed that at least in the LR no one pointed out Jangbi's quick gas. Jangbi went gas before gateway, which significantly quickened his DT drop timing. It's also why Baby's defense timing seemed off.
So it's not that Baby's bad at DT defense. Jangbi just got there quicker than what terrans normally expect.

It's incredible they haven't ever faced off (as far as I can remember) in a league at all, or at least definitely not in a BoX.
In 2009 that would have been a marquee matchup, arguably as highly anticipated as any matchup you can imagine.
In other news, it's incredible to me that either soo or Killer will make ro4.

both of them are playing well, i have no problem with it
Now i know why i woke up at 4.30 am, Jangbi was about to own some people! Too bad i felt asleep again instead of waking up for this.Nevertheless, great job Jangbi, my boi!
I still remembered talking to this girl about "JB" one year ago and it was pretty heated up until I told her that JB plays really well video games that made her surprised in which I responded "gtfo". Lol I hope JB goes for some cheese + macro games against flash.
fuck yes, jangbi saves the dignity of the protoss race. too bad he has to face flash now.
overall, the osl looks quite promising. flash vs jangbi and flash vs killer sound interesting, fantasy vs hydra also sounds nice. a fantasy or hydra vs flash finals also sounds awesome. sorry, but i dont have any faith in jb beating flash. ;(
but probably either modesty or soo will reach the ro4 and be this season's "mandatory scrub zerg that somehow made it to the osl ro4", like in every season before.
Lol, Hyuk or Fanta in semi. What can be better than that? ;D GO JANGBI!!!
The most epis outcome: -Fantasy vs Jangbi final, Jangbi first gold after dramatic 3:2, Fantasy's silver mouse, leaving only SilverYellow in Kong line XD or -Flash vs Hyuk final with Hyuk hyuking flash and leaving everybody with WTF face :D
It really blows my mind that people think that Jangbi can actually beat Flash. What has Jangbi done recently to deserve that kind of confidence and trust? Even Killer has a better shot at this tournament.
Lolol, osl really hates protoss. And 2 zvz??? Should switch a zerg with jangbang, give him a chance lol. Flash is automatically in the finals now. Killer might give him trouble, but if soO moves out, then flash will wreck him
I really like flash, but I cant stand him anymore. Hes too good and he [alongside jaedong] ruin every single star league. Its just the same player raping everyone again and again and again, unless they play randomly poorly in group stages.

The same reason whenever bisu/jaedong/flash/stork come out of a slump and everyone gives them huge trust. Jangbi is on there level when hes not slumping.

u seriously underestimate jangbi's motives which is what is the best way to get more games so i can pawn them and show them i'm out of slump
I really liked the way that JangBi expanded while putting on the pressure and his way of preserving his Corsair was certainly amazing. I also liked Calm's build but I feel that he could have been in a much better position if he went around the map to cut off JB's reinforcement and make a pincer attack but then again JB was going for 4 Base and Calm was only on 3. JangBi is getting really aggresive again with Dt usage, those were some beautiful micro.
Isn't this Jangbi's royal road? He has made ro36 once before but not ro16. If he wins this it will be the greatest RR ever; wildcard in the prelims, tiebreakers in the groups, Flash in the ro8 and likely Zerg the rest of the way during a time of great ZvP imba. Can Jangbi overcome all odds to bring the Legend of the Fall to pass?

he made the Ro8 in EVER 2008. he was knocked out by backho.
also I dont think this is nearly close enough to a fall month to be legend of the fall lol.

Is there a pattern for that statement?
That's how Effort won his OSL. I don't know if players did after winning tiebreakers.
Pure won tiebreaker. Got 3-0'd by flash.
But there can't be 2 tiebreaker winners becoming champions. Effort won that one because his tiebreaker was more impressive(as in, it was 8 hours long).
So unlucky for Jangbi. I really wish he was matched against someone else and not Flash. But who know, maybe Jangbi will pull out Luxury here. That time nobody gave him chances as well.
And lol at Fantasy vs Hyuk. Will Fantasy get hyuk'ed or not? Last game I saw between them it was brutal for Hyuk.
Might I say, JANGBI PLAYED FREAKING AMAZING. His build orders were awesome, his storms were jangbi storms, and his execution was baller. So happy jangbi is kicking some ass!
Go JangBi! With Stork eliminated, I am transferring all of my faith into you. Do not disappoint.
Protoss will return to glory, as has been foretold. JangBi will defeat Flash in the OSL. Bisu or Best will annihilate him in the proleague finals. Dragons fighting!
Jangbang playing some ridiculous BW. Gate first vs.Calm and no cannons for the first part of the game!? Then siiiiick DT drops on Baby ----> taking the map until - Carriers? Go Jang, Go!
what? stork and fantasy have left the kong line...
Can't leave the kong line by winning against another kong liner because one of them HAS to win. They only won in finals against each other.
Fantasy wasnt part of the kong ling when he lost to Stork, and by the time fantasy beat stork, stork was already out of it. Thus, they have both left the kong line.

Lol Jangbi... All that work, first through the wildcards and then the tie breakers, winning a few really nice pvzs in the process only to run into Flash of all people in the quarters. I really like Jangbi as a player but vs Flash... there is no chance. Though he _did_ put an end to nada's 7th title run... though I'm afraid Flash isn't Nada, Flash is Flash. Seriously as much as I enjoy admiring perfection (in anything really) a flash-less final (that doesn't suck ass, looking at you stork!) would be really kind of nice right about now. But I don't see flash losing this.

Are you telling me that Flash vs ZerO and Flash vs Jaedong finals were good?
No, but those weren't worse than the ZvZZZzzz with only one hive tech game and the super hyped best TvPer vs best PvTer only to end one-sidedly and I think not only Flash fans thinks so .
The recipe for great StarCraft isn't to hope for two evenly matched sub-par players, it's to hope for someone to step it up and play at Flash's level. Like, say, an Effort. That was a great final series. The power outage series against Jaedong was also great up until... well, the power outage.
I'm sure it has been said before but, Flash losing in series play is almost without exceptions the best recipe for amazing StarCraft. It will take a lot for him to fumble away multiple games in a row so when he loses it usually means his opponent has played the series of his life.
edit: Having two players step it up would obviously also work, but then they really have to follow it through as well and not crash and burn in the finals.
Hurrr why is this still bumped? Oh, I see, Protoss players. I think that after a certain limit, each one of your posts should automatically be backed in a sickly oozing green light, by virtue of your race.
Poor Flash, no TvP practice to prepare for Bisu/Best, HAHA!
