I expect sKyHigh or Really to advance. Of the remaining players, only KiLLeR is of note, and shouldn't prove to be a threat to Really's incredibly Solid TvZ. However, sKyHigh's TvT is top-notch and could give Really a run for his Money. Luckily there are no solid Protosses to knock either of them out, with the most notable being Samsung's Brave. Canata could surprise us all and win, however. My pick: sKyHigh/Really. Alternate: KiLLeR/Canata. Group B: In this group, the biggest names are BaBy and Action. Woongjin's GuemChi hasn't been performing much at all recently, Saint hasn't been in the spotlight much, and neither has Classic or Saint. SKT's Sun is an interesting case, dropping beautiful games in recent Proleague rounds. However, I don't think any can match up to FOX's ace. My pick: BaBy Alternate: Sun/Classic Group C: Woongjin's Zerg ace ZerO faces nonexistent competition. s2 may prove to surprise him, though, as he's been showing some fairly decent results in recent games. Still, with ZerO winning the most difficult ZvZ bracket in BW history, he is the clear favorite in this group. My pick: ZerO Group D: Samsung's bafflingly inconsistent zerg ace great joins two mid-tier Protosses, Jaehoon and Shuttle. I don't see anyone else in the group who can compete, but given great's streaky nature in the past, I wouldn't be too surprised if someone else ends up on top. My pick: great Alternate: Shuttle Group E: CJ's Terran ace Leta is the clear favorite in this group, although his less solid TvP may be upset by PerfectMan. None of the zergs in this group pose a threat to Leta's incredible TvZ, with hero being the strongest player. My pick: Leta Alternate: PerfectMan Group F: Soulkey's creative play is matched up against a surprisingly resurgent BeSt, whose recent PvZ victories have shown very solid play from the macro beast. If they play each other, expect it to be the best match in the whole group, with the outcome of that match likely determining the winner of Group F. My pick: Soulkey/BeSt Group G: Snow is threatened only by Anytime's solid PvP, and HyuN (who may surprise us all). However, I don't think any of them are good enough to beat Snow, but with no clear player being better than the others, it's hard to say for this group. Oh, and I'm really hoping ToSsGirL wins a few games. My pick: Snow Group H: The S-Class tester RorO faces Iris, Movie, and HoeJJa. Of the three who could potentially challenge him, I'd say Iris and Movie have the greatest chance of winning, with both of them being known for having solid vZ player. HoeJJa was known as KT's ZvZ sniper for a while, so he may present a threat as well. My pick: RorO/Movie/Iris Group I: With the biggest names in this group being Protoss (Tyson, Horang2 and Pure), the player with the best PvP will likely advance from this group. My bet is on either Horang2 or Pure, with both of them being competent in PvP and all around solid, if not noteworthy players. My pick: Horang2/Pure Group J: KT's protoss ace Stats faces stiff competition from STX's Bogus, whose incredibly strong TvP has resulted in upsets in the past (including a notable series win against an ascendant Jangbi; the game on Medusa was spectacular). Their match will probably be the best of the group, as both players are incredibly solid A-class players who are able to consistently take matches from anyone they face save the very upper eschelons of BW. My pick: Stats/Bogus Group K: Bisu is in top form lately, and I don't expect him to lose. Hopefully he can humiliate Lomo along the way to the top. My pick: Bisu Group L: Woongjin's new Terran player Light is the favorite to win this group, but JangBi and fbh will likely put up a good fight. Both Light and fbh are known for very strong TvT, and JangBi is known for his stellar PvT, so the player that advances of these three will likely make it out of the bracket. A dark horse candidate is SKT's soO, who feasibly could defeat JangBi's weaker PvZ. However, Light also has impeccable TvZ, and would likely defeat him easily. Both Light and fbh have shakier TvP, however, so this group may end up being decided by the rest of the bracket. My pick: Light/fbh/JangBi | ||
